So sad 😔 and not to know what happened to her baby.

That period of time was horrible for children. Many died very young of diseases. That is probably why there are no records of little Mary. I hope she was loved and was given a proper burial.😢

A quick search revealed that passing from one caretaker to a second the information about the infant Mary ends after she was 2 years old.
It was assumed that because there is no record of the baby growing up to collect her inheritance that she died at the age of 2.

Your narration is second to none! I find myself immediately drawn into your stories. The quality of the videos is stellar. Thank you so much.❤
My heart goes out to Katherine Parr. She had three marriages that were companionate, but I wouldn’t call them romantically loving as we consider that term today. And then when she finally married the man that she truly loved he turned out to be a sexual predator who was trying to groom her step daughter Elizabeth. Thomas Seymour was a real piece of work.
I’m sad that she never had the opportunity to raise her daughter Mary who might’ve been a great comfort to her, especially considering what happened to her husband. Perhaps she was actually better off dead than witnessing his ignominy, disgrace and execution. On the other hand, considering her step son Edward’s strong Protestant beliefs the two of them could’ve been a dynamic force for the reformed religion in England. And then after all of this her grave and body were desecrated! Katherine Parr deserved so much better than she received.

Thank you so much Monica! That’s so so kind of you. Katherine’s end was so incredibly sad. Thomas Seymour is one of my least favorite humans of the Tudor era and there were some doozies. Unfortunately his ego and lust for power ruined so many. 💚

Thomas Seymour was a piece of work. Collecting women who could give him power.

RThank you for this wonderful story. And the view of the extensive Sudely Castle where the story took place adds to story.

I feel that if this was dramatised I would write it as a stitching together of the ragged ends of Henry’s reign

That’s not how things worked in this time period. All of Catherine’s things went to her husband. 💚💚
