    I love how you show all your tips and tricks. I would never have thought of using a coin. When you took out your template I almost gave up, but I can try this.
    You always show alternatives. That it's not necessary to get ready drawn fabrics or even the recommended fabric, use what you've got. Same with threads. Finding sashiko fabrics and threads is not easy, nor cheap, where I live. Not much to choose from.
    Originally it was used to give items a longer life, right? They mended stuff where I'm from too, but that wasn't beautiful. This is and it makes me wat to mend things.

    • @XiaoxiaoYarn
      @XiaoxiaoYarn  Рік тому

      Hi Sylwia, thank you! Yes, Sashiko was originally used to give items longer life, and people still do this these days. :) It's always the best thing to hear from the audience that they are going to do more mending! Thanks for sharing this with me. :)

      Hi Maryam, the sashiko stitches are simple running stitches. You can check out this video for more info: ua-cam.com/video/M-5RXN6Tk4M/v-deo.html

    I do not like the little thread ends inside the piece. I can see them in the light. How, to eliminate these? Such a beautiful pattern and lovely work is spoiled by those pesky threads no?

    • @XiaoxiaoYarn
      @XiaoxiaoYarn  10 місяців тому

      Hi, you can use darker fabric if you don't want to see the thread end. I do like the rough looking myself, it shows the process. Happy stitching. :)
