That bakery on Blvd Bucaneros in Playa Ensenada is the best I've ever experienced. I've traveled extensively in Europe, sampling bakeries in France, Italy, and Greece, but this one in Ensenada stands out. It's not just great by local standards-it's world-class
Daniel, I agree with you! If I lived too close to that bakery I would have a serious diabetes issue. Thanks for watching our adventures. Hope you’re having a great week! 😎
My dad was a business owner back in the late 70s and early 80s. Our hometown (for a long time) had no big chain stores. They had ppl go house to house to do a survey on Walmart , sams club, and many other stores. He told them he could care less. He said: I SHOP LOCALLY! they told him, But you buy at a bigger store and save more. HE SAID: But you buy at the Mercado downtown and you support families whom LIVE HERE! These businesses have been around at least 3 generations. Walmart and many other collect money and send it to Mexico City. So when I go to my hometown…. I SHOP LOCAL!!!
We love Ensenada and really hope for warmer and dry weather!!! Thank you so much for subscribing to our channel, watching our videos, and joining us on the journey. Hope you’re having a great week! 😎
They were very good. Reminded me of some my mom used to make which looked flatter and elongated. She called them Sandies. We’re glad you enjoy our videos and hope you have a great weekend! 😎
Sandy thank you for joining us on the journey! We do shop at some small family stores too. Thank you my friend for watching our videos. We hope you have a great week!! 🙂
I understand! We’re just warm weather folks. Plus with my coordination skills I wouldn’t last 5 minutes on the slopes unless they removed every tree. 😳 Hope you have a great week Jackie! 😎
Oh cool! It was delicious! To be honest, I don’t think we ever ate anything in Mexico that we didn’t like. Hope you have an awesome weekend. We appreciate that you enjoy our adventures! 😎
Not many videos on Ensenada…. And NONE like yours!!!!! I absolutely LOVE it!!! I hope you take us to a few local markets, maybe a butcher and I heard we can find a goat/dairy farmer to buy raw milk and cheese 🙏🤗🤗🤗
Jami you are so kind! We’ll try to get as many videos on Ensenada as we can. We leave in a few days for Baja California Sur but will be back in Ensenada in a few months. ❤️🙂😎
Thank you Derrick for watching our videos and joining us on the journey! We loved traveling in Canada. Be sure to check out all of our Canada videos too. Hope you’re having a great week! 😎
your videos are so good!!! im so glad and happy you are having a great time in Mexico and that you're enjoying yourselves so much!! Keep 'em coming!!! cheers!
Thank you Lance! We appreciate you watching our videos and joining us on the journey! Best of luck to you in your big move!!! Hope you’re having an awesome weekend! 😎
Ensenada was a very nice 2 month layover in our travels. Currently traveling through Baja California and Baja California Sur with tons of videos coming up. Thank you so much for joining us on the journey! Hope you’re having an awesome weekend! 😎
Hello Gene & Renee! We are currently in Ensenada checking it out for a possible move and we are bummed. We are staying at an Abnb on the beach. It's safe, but the surrounding neighborhoods are not. We are off of Pedro Loyola, south. We have tried to find an area you showcase in the video but have yet not been able to and traffic has been a nightmare. We leave tomorrow but plan on trying to find a nicer area to live with amenities in walking distance as you speak about on our way home to CA. What neighborhoods or stores should we put into a search so we can get directions to those areas? Today we are checking out Punta Banda. Thank you SO MUCH and so glad we stumbled on your UA-cam channel (new subscribers!)
Lee, congratulations on your move! And thank you for joining us on the Journey. When we were in Ensenada we were in the community of Playa Ensenada. We also stayed for a week up in the neighborhood Catavina which is up the hill from Vista Hermosa (near Costco). A few people that can help you: Daniella that works for a rental company. Her number is +1-209-843-1531. Another is Carlos (an immigration attorney) and his secretary Nayeli. His number is +52-646-183-9901. Jorge Emilio has an Airbnb and a restaurant in town. His number is +52-553-469-6329. The neighborhood he lives in is up in Ampliacion Chapultepec which is a gated very safe neighborhood. I hope that with these contacts you can find the best place for you all. Please keep in touch! 🙂
Say hello to your neighbor Maria and her dogs for me. I really like shopping at Mini Market Emma's when I just need a few quick things that they have available.
Good morning friends that is true when we go to Ensenada Mexico we rent a cabin and just cross the street there is a Soriana and we buy for a weekend grocery and yes some are cheaper than US but like you said it’s close like UA because we like in Riverside CA and it has been very very expensive every day even in our bills and rent but we are thinking on moving to Ensenada Mexico or Querétaro Mexico it’s nice quiet and clean and very beautiful but I always loved the beach .
The beach would seal you on Ensenada but Queretaro would be cheaper to live and very beautiful. Best of luck to you on your future move! Thanks for watching our videos Martha and joining us on the journey! 😎
Filbert, it seems that the price of everything has really gone up. Politicians have not helped us. Thank you for watching our videos and joining us on the Journey! We hope you have a wonderful weekend! 😎
I’m in Ensonada quite often. I’ll be there this weekend. I own property there. I could tell you where some fantastic restaurants there. They’re so good I have a lot of friends there. I will be retiring there I’m going to be building a house soon for myself. I have one there now that is 4000 ft.² and I bought it 10 years ago for $45,000.
Robert that’s awesome! Man, you got a great deal! Best of luck on planning your retirement. Thank you for watching our videos and joining us on the journey!! What are your favorite restaurants? 😎
Hmmm, I was wondering how the prices were. Last year much of our time was spent in the interior and the prices were much lower. Thank you for watching our videos Sally. Have a great weekend!! 😎
Love your videos. You offer great tips. What part of Ensenada do you reside in. Give us a vicinity. I am still trying to figure what area to start looking for rentals.
Thank you Rhonda, we’re glad that you enjoy our videos!! 🙂 We travel and don’t usually stay too long in a location. When that video was taken we were spending 2 months in a house on Calle Caleta in the Playa Ensenada area. Felt very safe and walked a lot in the neighborhood and to the downtown area. We’ve also stayed for a few days near Costco in a condominium community (Condominios Catavina I). Gated community, very beautiful, but not walkable to town. The last time we were there we spent a few days in a lovely downstairs small unit that looked over the downtown and harbor. This was in the area Ampliacion Chapultepec. Look back at our episodes that show each of these homes. ua-cam.com/video/SPGzJp_DJZI/v-deo.htmlsi=gkV83gkIlTnd4qZ_ ua-cam.com/video/Sesy0BLVSa0/v-deo.htmlsi=q9e8mW9dxghhYZC8 ua-cam.com/video/CvCQBGkXNzs/v-deo.htmlsi=dIoVbdKurOj527Ky
You are certainly welcome Miguel! We are headed within the next few weeks to Baja California Sur and look forward to showing you some areas there also. Thank you for watching our videos! Hope you have a great week mi amigo! 😎
Ernesto, we were in Playa Ensenada at that time. Thank you for joining us on the Journey and watching our adventures. Hope you’re having a great week!! 😎
Thank you Liz for watching our videos, subscribing to our channel, and for joining us on the journey! You sound like great folks. We’re headed to Baja California Sur soon but will be back in Ensenada later this year. Hope you’re enjoying your week! 😎
I am retired in Cali on social security and it is quickly becoming impossible to live here so I have been exploring expats in various parts of Mexico. I think to ease in to the change that I will start in Ensenada. I understand U don't need to do a deposit for bringing your vehicle into the country? Is that correct? Also do you find driving in Mexico proper a challenge? some say it is. I was going to avoid the expense of a car but I have dog that is too big for stuffing into a carry on and I won't put her in the belly of a plane:) Thanks for doing these great videos:)
Hi Kathryn! Thank you for joining us on the Journey. Ensenada would be a great place to try Mexico out as would La Paz. You’ll still need to pursue temporary residency and we did a video that should help with that (ua-cam.com/video/ycNvO8iMfsM/v-deo.htmlsi=-i5EINPNOQIJ38on). The immigration attorney we used in that video is located in Ensenada and is a super nice man. There is not a temporary import permit for the Baja peninsula so you would be able to drive down without a problem. On the Baja driving was what we were used to in the USA. On the mainland it was more of a challenge but we adapted. We certainly wish you and your fur-baby a wonderful adventure as you begin exploring alternative options to what so many in the USA are accepting as what we “have to do.” Please keep in touch and let us know where you end up at. 🙂
Not at all. I certainly don’t trust the news media to report truth. The old days with Walter Cronkite are sadly gone forever. Hope you have a great weekend. Thank you for joining us on the journey! 🙂
Just found you on UA-cam. Binge watching. Love when UA-camrs put the price of things. We all want to know how much things cost. Could you spend a little more time on showing the food. You blow right through the food.
Thank’s Mike! We love new friends joining us on the journey. I usually blow through the food because I’m hungry and ready to make it disappear. 😂 I’ll try to do better on that one but it’s a tough assignment. Take care amigo. Hope you’re enjoying your weekend! 😎
We are close to the border (and to California no less) so that’s probably why. We have found things to be much less costly on the mainland. Thank you for watching Troy! Hope you’re having a great week! 😎
They are also right in the heart of the tourist area. If you go more into town the prices for everything are much more reasonable. I have a Fish Taco stand down the street where they are $24 pesos each, or about $1.26us con todo. I go to place around the corner where they have Adobada (al pastor) tacos for $14 pesos each.
You’re absolutely right! Thank you David for watching our videos, subscribing to our channel, and for joining us on the journey! Hope you’re enjoying your week! 😎
I think we bought it at a little local market. When you’re trying to eat cheap AND have a taste of home…Rice-A-Roni! 😂 Thank you for watching our videos, subscribing to our channel, and for joining us on the journey! Hope you’re enjoying your week! 😎
Hello friend! Where we stayed was on Calle Caleta in Playa Ensenada (2 months). We felt totally safe there and would certainly return. The other neighborhood we stayed in for only about 5 days was on Calle La Estrella close to the Costco which we HIGHLY recommend! Thanks for joining us on the journey! 🙂
New viewer here!! That was great Gene and Renee! Do you a water availability issue in your neighborhood? I mean for showering, washing, etc.. If so, how do you deal with that? Thank you!
First of all, thank you Jack for joining us on the Journey! We’re thrilled to have you join us on our adventures. We travel and stay in a location for a few days up to 3 months. In Ensenada we were only there 2 months before moving on south. Our videos will show us back in Ensenada in a few months. Never ran into any water shortages while there. Ensenada is a great city and we definitely enjoyed our time there. Great food, wonderful people, moderate climate, and plenty to see. Hope you enjoy watching our episodes and have a wonderful week! 😎
You’re right! I’ve visited India about 8 times and love your country and its people. Thank you friend for watching our adventures and joining us on the Journey!! 😎
Interesting Martin, but I would have thought the tap water was safe in Hawaii? Learned something new! Thanks for watching our videos and joining us on the journey! Hope you’re having a great week! 😎
Hi Darleen! Thank you so much for watching our videos and joining us on the journey! The neighborhood where we were living in that episode is Playa Ensenada (we were renting an Airbnb on Calle Caleta for two months). That was nearer to the malecon and port area. The other location we stayed in, but only for a week, was on Calle La Estrella close to the Costco. That was a very nice neighborhood but a little too far for walking into the downtown area. Hope you’re enjoying our videos and having a great week! 🙂
First, thank you for watching our video adventures. We appreciate you! We haven’t been in Mexico since summer 2023 so our estimates on costs will be way off. From what I’ve heard inflation has greatly increased the cost of living in Mexico like in the USA. Unfortunate!! However, with the cost of living in San Diego running about 55 percent higher than the national average I’m very sure it would be much less expensive, depending on where you’re looking at, in Mexico. We’re going to do an episode on our monthly budget but it won’t premiere until later in 2025. What I would suggest is watching UA-cam videos to get an idea of where you might wish to locate. Then join groups on Facebook for people interested in or living in those cities. You’ll gain a lot of insight into those areas this way and can also ask questions of people who are living there. Hope this helps you! We hope you enjoy our channel!! 🙂
We were living only 2 blocks behind that store in the neighborhood. Sometimes if we were driving to the market we would stop and get water in the car. Other times I did put it on my shoulder and carry it home. It was a little heavy for sure! Thanks for watching. We hope you’re enjoying a great weekend!! 😎
Diana it would be hard for us to say. We were there in January and February which were cold wet months for them so we did not get the chance to meet with any other ex-pats. We liked the city, the people that we met are very friendly and kind, and there is almost every store and restaurant that anyone could want. It is a little more expensive than mainland Mexico, because of its proximity to California, but it is cheaper than further south on the Baja peninsula. Hope you have a wonderful weekend my friend! Thank you for watching our videos! 🙂
Christie thank you for joining us on the journey! In some areas the bottled water companies deliver to your home (you can see this on our video in Nuevo Nayarit - ua-cam.com/video/8s2EG5SraAM/v-deo.html). In Ensenada, in the neighborhood we’re in currently, we walk about 3 blocks and get our bottle filled. Of course we could also trade the bottle in for a full one at any large grocery store. Thanks for asking! Hope you’re having a great week! 🙂
I like your videos I have family out there in ensenada . I lived out there when I was young I got married in ensenada 40 years ago to my husband..he wants to live out there but I'm scared . I'm worried about health care it's expensive for doctor visits . And there is no emergency and ambulance like here ..no 911. I'm thinking about it. I don't have any friends out there. Are you guys happy there . Where do you live. I'm out here in los Angeles
Thank you Tomasa for watching and joining us on the journey! We are happy, but we’re nomads for now. We only stay in a place for a few days (least) to three months (most). I have seen ambulances here in Ensenada. One idea is to live near to the hospital (public or private) that you would feel safe with. Where we’re at now, not on purpose, is close to a private hospital. As far as friendships FaceTime and Facebook video help with keeping up with friends and family. Los Angeles is not far so if you had a 3 bedroom home here your friends could always come down and spend a week with you. Good luck on finding your happy place Tomasa for you and your hubby. Thank you again for watching our videos. We appreciate it! 🙂
Hi Peter! We’re closer to downtown than where you’re at. Bajamar looks like a beautiful area. Thanks for watching our videos and joining us on the journey! Hope your week is going great! 🙂
another great video ya'll..hey I didn't realize you are from Virginia..I am to here in Christiansburg,Blacksburg Virginia...love you both and your precious dog..
None, zero. Wish we had and wish my brain was foreign language learnable!!! I’ll say a word and the other person looks like they have no clue to what I’m saying. Someone who is bilingual will come by and offer to help. I’ll tell them what I’m trying to say and they will say the same word in Spanish pronouncing it the exact same way I did and everyone goes ahhh and understands it 🙄. We’re working on it. Have a great weekend Mark. Thank you for watching our videos!! 😎
Fern it’s definitely on our radar. We’re leaving Ensenada in a week headed south so it may wait a few months until we’re back up here. Hope you’re having a nice week! 🙂
Liked the video......Im from Ensenada live there part time and in San Diego .......I live in the San Carlos area in Ensenada If you now of any one who is interested in buying there Im selling my house near the Baja Country Club ,the Buffadora, and San Carlos Ranch where the warm waters are and about two hours or less from San Vicente and maybe an hour from El Valle De Guadalupe
Thank you Elsa! Best of luck to you in selling your home. If you would like to send me information on your home, my email is gene63@icloud.com We appreciate you subscribing to our channel and joining us on the journey. Have a wonderful week! 🙂
I filmed where we were and what we were seeing. Any city is more than one or two neighborhoods. Ensenada is a large city of around 300,000. Hope you had a great weekend. We appreciate you watching our adventures and joining us on the Journey! 😎
Every colonial has different cheeses queso fresco...what's expensive are the 40 oz beers unless you tell them yr bringing bottles back bottle is worth almost as much as beer...and be carefully 9 st at nite if you see police truck let them pass don't go in front nite shift has a tendency of trying to shake people down for money
As the Pesos growing strong in recent months, till 1USD/17MX$ in the past week, I guess you’ll have to pay more and more US Dollars, not considering Pesos prices inflation yet; Would that be making life harder there if Pesos growing even more stronger
First, thank you so much for joining us on the journey. We appreciate you watching our videos! It does make it some difficult with our buying power not as good. However, since the USA is deep in inflationary woes, I guess that it still makes Mexico more attractive for us to spend much of our year. Thank you for your question. We hope that you’re having a great week! 🙂
😂 probably about the same percentage of folks who speak Spanish where you live. Seriously, we limp along with very very very broken Spanish. The people are so kind and accommodating that somehow it works. Usually folks speak a little bit of English and our little bit of Spanish communicates. Hope you’re having a great week. And thank you for joining us on the journey! 😃
Many houses in many countries that I’ve traveled in do the fences and barbed wire. It’s about like the burglar alarm systems that other countries use. Now when I see (and I haven’t) armed guards hanging around outside wearing camouflage clothing and carrying AK47s I’ll definitely know I’m in the wrong place! Take care and have a great week!
I live in Ensenada, no alarm system, no bob-wire, no high fence, no fence on my front windows, sliding door, sliding backdoor. Just on the side windows, not even high wall between my side neighbors and back neighboring properties.
Thank you Moses for joining us on the Journey! We certainly have no complaints about how we were treated in Ensenada. Great wonderful people! Hope you are having a great week!! 🙂
I have friends here in the US and they tell me the drug cartels are an extreme danger for kidnapping and such (?) yet you seem able to smile & hide that dismay in your videos ? -- I'm really confused. -- The weather there is supposed to be like San Diego (climate) and really good all year ? - Likely is unusual.
That is the HUGE misconception that most Americans have of Mexico. Mexico is actually much safer than the U.S. You don’t have mass shootings in schools and nightclubs in Mexico. Yes, the Border cities tend to have more violence and there are certain areas to avoid…but as you move inland it’s safe and welcoming. If you’re not out “looking” for trouble you won’t find it….but like anywhere in the World and the U.S…you still need to be aware of your surroundings and where you travel at night.
Frank, first of all thank you for watching our videos and joining us on the journey! Second, my video - ua-cam.com/video/dDnL82KEJ6g/v-deo.html - says it well, give it a watch. Have an awesome week Frank! 😎
And to speak to the weather, I am currently living in San Diego for the winter and it’s been unseasonably colder and wet this year. Ensenada is also a coastal town 90 miles south of San Diego.
Thank you for your videos and the tour that you give us. I will retire in a few years and I am already looking for my place. Nobody spends many years in the center of the Mexican Republic, but life brought me to San Diego, now it is time to think about my retirement and Ensenada, I think. it will be a good place thanks
Thank you Miguel for watching our videos and joining us on the journey! We’ll be traveling soon down Baja California and Baja California Sur. Maybe it will give you some insight as to where you can retire to. Hope you’re having a great week mi amigo! 😎
Ginny looked adorable with new cut. Seems very clean in Ensenada.
We’re currently in Virginia and Ginny misses the beaches and warmth of Baja! We do too!!! 🐶
My dad was a business owner back in the late 70s and early 80s. Our hometown (for a long time) had no big chain stores. As much as possible! 🙂 Have a great weekend mi amigo!

You are certainly welcome DeeAnn! Glad to have you with us! 🙂

People in Ensenada always so friendly, I grew up in Baja back in the 70s
Agreed! We look forward to being back in Ensenada later this summer for a few days. Thank you for joining us on the journey! 🙂
The white little snow looking balls are called Mexican wedding cookies 😊! Basically cookies with powdered sugar. They have nuts inside.
They were very good. Reminded me of some my mom used to make which looked flatter and elongated. She called them Sandies. We’re glad you enjoy our videos and hope you have a great weekend! 😎
My Mom and Grandma made them and we called them "Russian teacakes"- we are Volga Germans...
That is cool and I hope brought back good memories of your grandmother. Thank you for watching our videos!! 🙂
You're in the fancy higher end part of Ensenada which is great. But try out the small local family owned business. Enjoy and much love
Sandy thank you for joining us on the journey! We do shop at some small family stores too. Thank you my friend for watching our videos. We hope you have a great week!! 🙂

DUDE 58 degrees here is perfect for snow skiing in shorts and a tank top. I would be in heaven at those temps!
I understand! We’re just warm weather folks. Plus with my coordination skills I wouldn’t last 5 minutes on the slopes unless they removed every tree. 😳 Hope you have a great week Jackie! 😎
The white cookie is a Christmas Snow ball in California :)
Oh cool! It was delicious! To be honest, I don’t think we ever ate anything in Mexico that we didn’t like. Hope you have an awesome weekend. We appreciate that you enjoy our adventures! 😎

I remember when we could buy a ten pound bag of taters for 99 cents. 😢 My favorite candy are the sandia con chilie lollipops.😊
Filbert, it seems that the price of everything has really gone up. Politicians have not helped us. Thank you for watching our videos and joining us on the Journey! We hope you have a wonderful weekend! 😎

Interesting. Thank you Al!! Have a wonderful weekend my friend! 😎

Robert that’s awesome! Man, you got a great deal! Best of luck on planning your retirement. Thank you for watching our videos and joining us on the journey!! What are your favorite restaurants? 😎
@@GeneandRenee Altamar Mahi Mahi Los Primos or a few couple of those restaurants I know the whole family the related I’ve known them for over 50 years
Thank you!
It's always funy to find Spanish music on mexican videos 😂
Yup! 😀 Thanks for joining us on the Journey! Hope you’re having a wonderful week!! 😎
Awesome video stumble across you guy today
Cool! Thanks for joining us on the journey!! 😎
Wow! Great prices.
Hmmm, I was wondering how the prices were. Last year much of our time was spent in the interior and the prices were much lower. Thank you for watching our videos Sally. Have a great weekend!! 😎
I enjoy your shopping videos almost as much as your “packing the car” video. 😂. It’s interesting to see what things cost. 💕💕
Thank you Jennifer! Hope you have a great Thursday! 🙂
I lived in USA, but I'm born in ensenada!!!
Thank you Rosa for watching our videos. Hope you are having a nice weekend! 🙂

You are certainly welcome Miguel! We are headed within the next few weeks to Baja California Sur and look forward to showing you some areas there also. Thank you for watching our videos! Hope you have a great week mi amigo! 😎
What area are you at ,i lived in colonia Independencia
Ernesto, we were in Playa Ensenada at that time. Thank you for joining us on the Journey and watching our adventures. Hope you’re having a great week!! 😎
You should give bones to the yapping ones! 😂
We did until we ran out of bones. My guess is that they are still waiting for us to come by many months later. Hope you’re having a great week!! 😎
Hi i love your videos!! And i love the fact that you love my hometown❤ me and my husband need to have friends like you, i hope we can meet us🤗
Thank you Liz for watching our videos, subscribing to our channel, and for joining us on the journey!
So mexico is NOT on fire, like some news articles make it sound and look.
That seems like an expensive area in Mexico. Most prices were the same or slightly lower than what I would pay in the U.S..
Wow, where did you find Rice-a-Roni? I shop Ley, Walmart, Smart n Final and Calimex, and I’ve never seen it! Thanks for the vid!
I think we bought it at a little local market. When you’re trying to eat cheap AND have a taste of home…Rice-A-Roni! 😂 Thank you for watching our videos, subscribing to our channel, and for joining us on the journey! Hope you’re enjoying your week! 😎
Hola what is the name of that nice neighborhood ? Which ones do u recommend to retire that are clean and safe?
It depends on the area. Areas like Bahia, we never do. Thank God. Still we have a water cistern system.
Omg! It looks similar to posh areas India 😮 Never looking like Mexico.
You’re right! I’ve visited India about 8 times and love your country and its people. Thank you friend for watching our adventures and joining us on the Journey!! 😎
Here in Hawaii tree dollars the water
Interesting Martin, but I would have thought the tap water was safe in Hawaii? Learned something new! Thanks for watching our videos and joining us on the journey! Hope you’re having a great week! 😎
What part of Ensenada is this? It looks great.
What would be estimate of how much is necessary for a monthly budget for a couple. Not including rent. I’m from San Diego, your life looks grate!
How did you get that water home. You couldnt have Carrier it
We were living only 2 blocks behind that store in the neighborhood. Sometimes if we were driving to the market we would stop and get water in the car. Other times I did put it on my shoulder and carry it home. It was a little heavy for sure! Thanks for watching. We hope you’re enjoying a great weekend!! 😎
How well did you like Ensenada? is it a good community for Expats?
Diana it would be hard for us to say. We were there in January and February which were cold wet months for them so we did not get the chance to meet with any other ex-pats. We liked the city, the people that we met are very friendly and kind, and there is almost every store and restaurant that anyone could want. It is a little more expensive than mainland Mexico, because of its proximity to California, but it is cheaper than further south on the Baja peninsula. Hope you have a wonderful weekend my friend! Thank you for watching our videos! 🙂
It’s true is the opposite, Walmart is expensive in Mexico
You’re right Jane! Thank you for watching our videos, subscribing to our channel, and for joining us on the journey! Hope you’re enjoying your week! 😎
Where do you get the water jugs filled?
Hi guys!! I have been living in Bajamar for last 11 years!! Where are you guys at?
Hi Peter! We’re closer to downtown than where you’re at. Bajamar looks like a beautiful area. Thanks for watching our videos and joining us on the journey! Hope your week is going great! 🙂
@@GeneandRenee I am sure your area has been flooded for a last few day..calle segunda looked like a lake yesterday.
another great video ya'll..hey I didn't realize you are from Virginia..I am to here in Christiansburg,Blacksburg Virginia...love you both and your precious dog..
Thank you Sherry! We love your area too!! Hope you enjoy an amazing weekend! 🙂
So, do you live at Playa Ensenada neighborhood?? LOL, I live at Moderna's!!
🙂
About how much Spanish did you learn before going to Mexico?
When are you going to do a story about Wine Country Mexico Valle de Guadalupe!!
Fern it’s definitely on our radar. We’re leaving Ensenada in a week headed south so it may wait a few months until we’re back up here. Hope you’re having a nice week! 🙂
Are you close to Cabo?
No not yet. Currently in Ensenada. We do plan to explore all the way down through Baja California and Baja California Sur.
If you would like to send me information on your home, my email is gene63@icloud.com

@@armandoserna2128 145 thousand Im sorry I thought I had replied to your question
He filmed only Good houses and restaurants.Ensenada is more.
Thank you Michael! We hope you enjoy watching our videos and that you’re having a great week! 🙂
As the Pesos growing strong in recent months, till 1USD/17MX$ in the past week, I guess you’ll have to pay more and more US Dollars, not considering Pesos prices inflation yet;
Would that be making life harder there if Pesos growing even more stronger
First, thank you so much for joining us on the journey. We appreciate you watching our videos! It does make it some difficult with our buying power not as good. However, since the USA is deep in inflationary woes, I guess that it still makes Mexico more attractive for us to spend much of our year. Thank you for your question. We hope that you’re having a great week! 🙂
How many people speak English there? My Spanish is bad :/
@@GeneandRenee I love it, thanks so much :)
You are welcome amigo! Thanks for watching and being part of our community of friends! 😀
Guys, if you live in Mexico, learn Spanish!
@ssjrose9641 you’re right and we’re working on it. Old brains don’t work like they used to 😂. Thanks for joining us on the Journey! 🙂
House surrounded with gates and topped off with barb wire not a good sign..
Maybe not 😳 Thank you for watching mi amigo! Hope you’re having a great week!
😅
Many houses in many countries that I’ve traveled in do the fences and barbed wire. It’s about like the burglar alarm systems that other countries use. Now when I see (and I haven’t) armed guards hanging around outside wearing camouflage clothing and carrying AK47s I’ll definitely know I’m in the wrong place! Take care and have a great week!
I live in Ensenada, no alarm system, no bob-wire, no high fence, no fence on my front windows, sliding door, sliding backdoor. Just on the side windows, not even high wall between my side neighbors and back neighboring properties.
@peaceandlove544 that’s awesome! So glad you are enjoying your best life!! 😎
Down there They Have Prices for locals . Gringos Pay More
Thank you Moses for joining us on the Journey! We certainly have no complaints about how we were treated in Ensenada. Great wonderful people! Hope you are having a great week!! 🙂
I don't know what colonial you live in, but I have been here for 30 years, and at Agua 2000, I only pay 13.5 pesos for a five gallon jug of water
Wow Vaughn! This water filling location is on Avenida Doctor Pedro Loyola. 😳
Perfectly said! My video - ua-cam.com/video/dDnL82KEJ6g/v-deo.html - says it well too. Have an awesome week Scott! 😎

And to speak to the weather, I am currently living in San Diego for the winter and it’s been unseasonably colder and wet this year. Ensenada is also a coastal town 90 miles south of San Diego.
We are definitely looking forward to warmer weather!!! 😎
