Thank you for highlighting KD's slashing, which is perhaps the most unappreciated feature of his game, and sadly lost to injuries and age. I remember when he first got to GS, defenders would try to run him off the line the way they would Steph or Klay...only for him to drive all the way to the hoop and dunk over whatever hapless defender tried to stop him.

One of the reasons why I keep coming back to your videos is the actual thought and analysis you put into your videos along with the narrative approach. Lots of creators index too heavily into one side of the spectrum. Adding narrative and context like “pre-jones fracture KD” having similarities to Giannis puts it into perspective for fans who didn’t watch nba back then and also for long time fans who may have forgot how athletic young KD was. Then explaining your assumptions at 4:20 around his catch and shoot numbers makes it easy for us to bridge the mental gap that he’s been effective in c&s for his whole career even though there’s only been data in the past 10 years

The most talented player ever who could have won 2 or 3 championships if he played with Any point guard other than Westbrick. However, the rest of his career post OKC is only on him. He’s always believed that all u need is two or three stars to win and all other players on the team should be cones who has one role to pass the ball to him. That’s why he got into a fight with Draymond because he clearly disrespected Draymond and didn’t appreciate that the warriors offence was based on Draymond. Then choosing to play with Kyrie and Harden just proves he doesn’t appreciate the notion of a team game. Bottom line, the most talented player I’ve ever seen playing but definitely not the smartest

Virtually all of Kobe's celebrated scoring games happened during this period because he's one of the best ever all alone taking all the shots. KD never had that. By his third season he had Russ, Harden and Ibaka on his team and ever since then he's always played on teams with great players so he aint going to get 28 shots a game like Kobe did in 05-06. But he's for sure one of the most efficient high volume scorers to ever play the game. In the finals for instance KD has averaged 30.3ppg on 55% from the field, 45% from 3 and 91% from the frethrow line. That doesn't get talked about enough because those are straight savage stats on the biggest stage. Kobe has 25.3ppg on 42% from the field, 31% from 3 and 85% from the line in the finals.

Best scorer fr. You have KD you know you getting a guaranteed 25+ ppg every single time, even at his old age. You definitely see a decline, for example he can't drive to the basket like that anymore, but he is easily still a Top 10 player in the league. A guy basically 7 foot who moves and handles like a guard is borderline cheating.

Nowitzki was every bit as good a 3 pt. shooter as Durant. He just had it taken away from him by Rick Carlisle. No reason other than a lack of imagination. Don't think that any player ever did as much with less than Dirk. Shots just inside the 3 pt line with defenders all over him. And he still was efficient.

Carmelo was the definition of a ball stopping black hole on offense. Carmelo peaked in Denver and never accomplished much in the NBA. His ego was always his worst enemy and if Carmelo would have just waited to go to NYC instead of forcing a trade, the Knicks would have had a deep team that could have competed in the East. But he was always about his money and the spotlight and couldn't stand being overshadowed by Jeremy Lin 😂
