Thanks for the useful information. I have a question for you. Our lab has some issues with Zr crowns before cementing them on to Variobase. Most often there is a slight rotation of the crown, and it can be a challenge to maintain good contact points to the adjacent teeth. Not sure if that's normal? e.g. the cement gap or a problem with the designing or the sintering process. Spinning can be roughly 10-15°.
There are a lot of things that can cause that to happen including how the case was scanned, the parameters set in the software (such as cement gap), the milling unit, the finishing process, etc. It's typically not random though, so the manufacturing process can be adjusted to get better fits. Finding out which specific issues are causing the problem is something that can only be determined by testing each variable to see the effect on the outcome.

They are not cross compatible.
