I don't have implants yet. I had 1 crown for 29 years which got replaced a week ago. For the past 3 or 4 years i hated the look of my fronth teeth. My crown was to long compared to my other teeth and my other fronth tooth usually was darker than the rest of the teeth. and on the end it fell out of my mouth twice it got damaged and metal was visible. I got both my fronth teeth replaced for crowns now. So now i have 2 crowns. They look just like my natural teeth and im so happy with them. The next time i will need an implant because on the side of the crown that lasted for around 29 years there was just enough bone for a crown now and my dentist did some extra build up for the crown. I think my crowns look amazing. Before i could cry because of how bad it looked. . Now i could cry happy tears. It looks like my natural teeth are back in my mouth. insurance paid 500 euro and i paid almost 1000,- but it was worth every euro to me. It was also worth the pain of all the treatments.

Yeah…life’s been tough. I’m gonna be 76 yrs old next month. Hate missing crowns. Need extractions. And I cared for my teeth. Single parent…worked hard…love my daughters. Never received one cent of child support. Lost m youngest daughter 13 yrs ago…same as when my dad passed suddenly when I was 16 yrs old. Surreal and very traumatic. It’s the shock. I raised all 5of my grandchildren …they’re all grown up now…relocated..with families of their own. My mouth is full of root canals and some crowns. And crowns fell out and teeth need to be extracted. I think 8 of them. Financially, emotionally and physical I’m drained. Live alone in a tiny home and just took in oldest grandson, long story. Nothing in my life turned out the way I planned ..and it continues that way. Can’t believe I’m still here. Half my teeth missing. Have to wear mask if I go to drs. And I can’t drive anymore. I’m tiny, old and used to wing a caregiver. That’s why I have a very limited income now. I could never afford dental implants…and there are no compassionate dentists near me who seem to care. I truly feel frustrated and depressed…almost every day. Losing health, my strength, my teeth…and coping with neuropathy alone isn’t easy. I can’t eat. Losing weight. And I’m tiny. I don’t want to lose weight. Haven’t enjoyed eating/chewing for this past year. Never had a vacation. Never been to hair-beauty salons ever. Don’t care for jewelry. Have shopped at good will last few years. It’s tough getting old. And weird thing is I need cataract surgery, and this doesn’t bother me as much as losing my teeth. Sad when you work…help others (both humans and many non humans), outlive your child, and get old and lose teeth. I don’t think this world is fair sometimes…but it’s life. Some people are blessed with wealth (helps pay bills)…some aren’t…after they’ve helped everyone else out cause they care way too much. Good luck to everyone who is ale to afford dental implants. I guess I’ll be eating soup, purée, cereal, oatmeal, and drinking water and decaf coffee. I miss chewing…eating..and I miss smiling. Just hoping I don’t lose more weight. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼. Thing is: I’m so used to things not working out for me…that I’m kind of accepting it.
Thank you for sharing your story and experience (and the update) I so relate to your story - I have searched and searched for a few years now and considered even going overseas. I grew up with a lisp. When I was 11, a well known adult in our small town ridiculed me about it and I determined to train myself to pronounce a sibilant S. I also learned the Z sound without lisping. You can retrain yourself, too, if you'll pay attention to the placement of your jaw, teeth and tongue and the shape of your mouth.
This must be one of the most fulfilling jobs for people wanting to bring joy to others. If I could afford it, I would donate these to everyone suffering from tooth trauma.

We're all in this together! 😀
That’s the exact reason why I decided to just got my mouth and have everything done over in the long run. It’s less expensive.
