My wife was in Dollar Tree earlier today and saw an unopened case of Hot Wheels. She asked an employee if he was about to put them on the pegs, and he responded yes. A couple of seconds later, another employee butted in and said, no, we're not putting those out right now. When she came home and relayed the story to me, her response was that she figured the second employee wanted to go through the box first.
Thanks for the F1 show. Growing up Andretti and AJ Foyt were big. I think I seen them on the Wide World of Sports. The thrill of victory...the agony of defeat as the intro said. If you know, you know as you say.
Good day Walter and Oso. Awesome video today man, ONE of the reasons I keep coming back, the knowledge that you drop, I really enjoy it, thanks so much!
I picked up a 2nd Lotus yesterday, as I always keep one New casting carded. During that hunt, I scored my FIRST Super Treasure Hunt: the Nissan 180 SX Type X, from M case.
I have the Lotus in Matchbox, Corgi and Hot Wheels now. I have the Indy Eagle in aqua as #48. The orange one I have is #7. I remember trying to use these with my Hot Wheels Super Charger (1969) set, the power house would jam on the open wheels. After that it seems Hot wheels started saying "some cars not for use with some sets". That's when they developed those plastic pieces that attached to the open wheel cars. IMHO it's also the reason open wheel cars were not popular in 70's Hot Wheels.
Oh man Walter ,bringing the heat ! I know the all american racong badging ,didnt know who was behind it !thank sso much ! & i got the dan wheldon car a year or so ago ,love it too
Outstanding racing information brother!! Really enjoyed the OG stuff, an all your F1 and Indy knowledge. Matchbox DID put out an Indy casting late 70s early 80s Orange in color with Marlboro livery! Peace my friend. 😊
JPS they have nice colors on the Lotus. Especially the black and gold on the Espirit etc. John players special are high-quality cigarettes, like in America when we had the Winston cup for Winston cigarettes..
Hot wheels have yet to create modern-day F1,CART, or IRL cars in the 1/64th scale. They could make a entire case on just versions of these. I wonder what the holdup is?
Lego has a some good formula 1 offerings. They have a Senna set they released fairly recently. It even had a mini figure of him. Not all of their racing sets come with a mini figure. My wife loves Lego, so we look down the Lego aisle a lot. Haha!
I love how good my fiancé is at telling me where the hot wheels are, even though she doesn't know exactly what she's looking for, she's got me a few sth's.
To be honest, you are the only one, collector so far, that i really like. So many of them I unfollowe in last few days that's crazy 😅😅, so many scalpers of them that can't be real. Stay positive, stay good and most of all stay real collector 🙏💙. Thank you brother ✌️
That lotus is # 188/250. It also shares the # with another car, a black on black Koenigsegg Gemera.i found only, #, so far that shares 2 cars. I wonder if that's an error?
Awesome that you, or anyone for that matter, would take the time to research. 😊😊😊 I am not eggzactly sure which numbered meatball belongs to which driver anymore. Just remember the story of Jochen.

Most likely. It's become ridiculous to even hunt at many places.
Every store pretty much goes threw the box’s before they put them out
My local dollar store the lady said there’s a box over
There but Mr so&so already got the treasures
Or what ever you call them she said
It's the new normal

You already know. 😊👊🏽
Good day Walter and Oso. Awesome video today man, ONE of the reasons I keep coming back, the knowledge that you drop, I really enjoy it, thanks so much!
I appreciate that. Just sharing what I'm learning along the way
The Lotus that came out this year is awesome, and very throwback to the old days of Hot Wheels and Matchbox adding drivers. Love it
Amazing man never disappoint with all the massive hauls stack em !!
Ayyy. Thanks Aaron!
Dan Gurney 🏁
4 time Indy champ club has 5 guys. Rick Mears Hot Wheels a favorite 🎥👀🏁 & 4 time champ.
Damn, you know a lot about racing!🏎️
Just about the drivers/things I'm interested in.
I appreciate your knowledge of diecast. Thank you for sharing with us.

Hot wheels design a new car with panels for power panels
Yea i remember those days of stuck open wheel cars in the chargers an causing a pile up with multiple cars lol

Ayyy. It's a real casting to treasure

Matchbox? With the Marlboro livery?
So it was a red car, with a Texaco/Goodyear sticker on the nose of the car and a big Marlboro sticker on the back wing. 😊
good video, lots of historical information!!! that´s what collectors miss, they dont know the stories
Just want everyone to know how cool, and how many castings the can collect. Stop chasing so much, ya know?
Yoo Walter sick castings my dude and great contact as per usual 🎉🎉

Licensing I'm sure. Or perhaps the lack of desire
Hotwheels made a Lotus Turbine open wheel Redline as well for the Grand Prix series
I've seen it online

I've seen the Senna. I don't have the bandwidth for a Lego hobby. Lol
Hey player you know your history in auto racing. Thanks for the great video 👍
Just love racing

I love how good my fiancé is at telling me where the hot wheels are, even though she doesn't know exactly what she's looking for, she's got me a few sth's.
Perhaps she is also a collector now. Lol

It's good to know some of us are seeing the hobby in the light its being shown in. Sending those full peg vibes your way!

I appreciate you, Christopher. 👊🏽
Mike Conway drives the WEC Toyota Hypercar.
Thank heaven!

Hmmm??? If they are of the same year... it'd be a misprint. But if they are all printed incorrect, it would be an error.
Nice. , born in 66
Walter are you sure Jochen Rindt piloted the Lotus type 49 #5? The web search show him driving #4 and a guy named Jim Clark in the #5 car.
Awesome that you, or anyone for that matter, would take the time to research. 😊😊😊 I am not eggzactly sure which numbered meatball belongs to which driver anymore. Just remember the story of Jochen.
@@thehotlineofdiecast.7623 Thanks for that Walter!
