i saw this set in san francisco, the set list for this tour was unbelievable, but more than that, this tour for H.A.T. easily solidified them as the best live american band of this past era. what a shame they now play joke music with a couple of no talent babies. anyway, thanks so much for posting this.
They now play Joke music? No talent babies? You sir, who obviously does have taste, are missing out by not loving what hes doing at the moment. Just seen 2 Melvins and 1 Melvins lite (support from big business) sets and they were all absolutely incredible. When Kevin Rutmanis left, I do not know what could have been better than to absorb most of big business into the Melvins. What they have created is a powerful sound which doesnt wander too fat from its roots.!
yes, with their current personnel they play pandering childish and maybe even creatively lazy music. i've listened and followed buzz and dale since ozma and they only seemed to get better and more avant with time but after kevin left, having a couple of young kids from a mediocre band was a huge mistake. the melvins post this boring incarnation were as vibrant and compelling as Oxbow and Sleep, creative and emotive original music for adults, but now sadly, it is just schtick for kids
