I find NZ 🇳🇿 tours from Malaysia are so expensive even when book during MATTA fairs.
Example: Apple Vacations 11D/8N will cost RM26K+ per person! That’s insane.
DIY yourself will be so much more affordable and enjoyable.

Oh Malaysia also have so many big cruises like Royal Caribbean stopped by Penang and Port Klang. The recent Costa Serena was there too
RC is not too bad but Costa Serena! Just horrible horrible reviews on this cruise line. Better to just stay at home👇

There are always good deals around, just need to monitor prices and promotions. Cruise fares are like airline ticket prices - always fluctuating going up and down. Not necessarily the earlier you book will be cheaper. Sometimes when nearing the cruise date, when the ship is almost full, prices can increase.
So check the cruise website often for price changes. I think we booked this in January for cruise in March. But if I had booked it in November 2023, it will even be few hundred USD cheaper.
And pay with Maybank credit card and get TreatPoints which can then be redeemed for free air tickets! 😂.. Killing 2 birds with one stone!

It’s not cheap but a lot a lot cheaper than joining a tour group from Malaysia.
Example: Apple vacations 👇 in KL is selling a 11D/8N tour to NZ for RM23,999 + RM2,228 = RM26,227!

The USD2080 is only a fraction of joining a tour group and it’s for 12 days 11 nights and not 8 nights. Much better value to DIY and taking cruise to NZ.

What kind of stateroom did u get with that price $3448US for 2 persons?

The $700US was for the drinks. How about WiFi?
Yes, USD3448 for 2 person. Booked Oceanview Guaranteed so the room was assigned to me, if want to choose need to pay more. Gratuities included already.
Extra USD700 for unlimited non-alcoholic drinks throughout the cruise. Wifi not included, didn’t want to pay for wifi as I think it is too expensive. If I remember correctly, it’s USD33 per device per day!
Detail breakdown of $3448 👇
Cruise fare - $2398
Gratuities - $396
Taxes, fees, port charges - $653.90
Total charges for 2 pax: $3447.90
Just buy a SIM card for cheap and reach the ports can use it.. just cannot use the ship’s WiFi.

@@zOhMyGodz the sea between Australia and NZ was quite rough at some point but we didn’t feel a thing and slept like babies.
Reason is simple. If want stability get a room at the lower decks and towards the center of the ship. This way your center of gravity is low and no matter how rough the sea becomes, your center of gravity does not change much and you will experience little movement.
If your room is in the upper decks and towards the ends of the ship, you will experience the ups and downs of the ship when it goes through rough sea.
And the lower the decks, the cheaper it is 😂. The suites and more expensive rooms are all on the upper decks! 😂
The 4 main dining rooms (Tuscan, Cosmopolitan, Cyprus, Normandie) are all excellent - you can have fine dining every night already included in the fare. Even Oceanview cafe is good!
