In this episode of Best in Beauty, I tried a Korean facial resizing treatment known as Golki Therapy. This is a popular alternative to plastic surgery for those wanting to achieve a smaller V line face shape.

It's still so interesting how asian skincare still has more to give even with the amount of popularity it's gotten in the past couple of years, nice to see different things too!
Not Asian but korean. Japan and China might have some hidden ones which are yet underrated.
@@tahiraalaraf7505 I think they’re just grouping it into Asian skincare as a whole from their own frame of reference. I would say it *is* Asian because Korean falls into Asian. Just a general categorization 👍
@@tahiraalaraf7505 uh, korea’s part of asia so koreans are also asian
Your face actually looks really different after that’s so crazy it does look more symmetrical and smaller? It’s a good change definitely. It’s weird because people focus so much on the skin and toning the face muscles to combat aging but face also loses/moves bone in the face which is why we look so different from young to old maybe this could be preventative too
I can see huge difference between your first and last picture. The bones are sharper and your face got smaller, I mean more lifted up. That's really good for taking care of face getting loosen and having wrinkles. I have seen some salons that does this procedure in Japan, but never tried this type. I will definitely try it soon🥰
I love watching your channel to see the techniques they are using in Japan as well as your amazing ASMR.
Omg! I was just looking for your ASMR videos ❤️
OMG, I WATCH YOUR VIDS. They're so relaxing. Nice to see you here
When she was pressing around your eyes, that looked like it hurt
Right I was thinking the same thing it just looks like it’s adding pressure.
Every single movement on her face looked like it hurts a ton
Looked like they were trying to poke out her eyes at some point 😣
My body is so tender I'd probably feel like I just had a boxing match after this.
💀💀💀💀🤣💀
I would feel the sameLol 😂
Same Kasweka, same. Had me flinching most of the vid😅
Plsss😭😭💀
Mine would just get tomato fire engine red :(
*WhiteOnCream* is now my go-to for achieving that Korean pop star glow. The results speak for themselves! ✨❤
As a medical professional, it really bugs me when people say something helps drain the lymph nodes and drain all the toxins out. Massaging can help circulation but our lymphatic system is perfectly capable of drainage without massaging.
thank you for the explanation
Thank you! It always bugs me when people say we need specific treatments to "get rid of the toxins" in our bodies. We actually don't! The body is capable of doing its own thing.
@@tattooedkittykat exactly.. especially now since the pandemic I'm seeing a lot of immunity supplements and bs.
@@minimm2013 yeah but nobody has swollen lymph nodes here. It makes the normal viewer think they need their lymph nodes drained when that isn't the case.
do you think the supplements aren't useful? asking for knowledge
I would be very careful when it comes to any kind of hard massage! My mum is a qualified reflexologist and she says that hard massage can be dangerous if done wrong - it can damage you instead of heal. She has told me some really scary stories about it! So, please be careful and research who you are going to see for treatments involving hard massage to make sure they are qualified and experienced. Soft massage is far less dangerous and can be healing too!
@Sen Tariana oh do share d tories..im quite curious
you got me curious about the stories :)
I love a good horror story :). I wanna hear
I love when the sponsored content in a video actually has something to do with the video. Not like..a video about a type of facial and then a portion sponsored by Hello Fresh. It’s so annoying!! Loved this vid!
I think you're so brave for trying these things cause it really does looks like it hurts a lot and kinda aggressive but as we say in Spanish Para ser bella hay que ver estrellas (to be beautiful, you have to see stars) did you saw stars on your facial? 👀
I love that saying! 🤣 thank you I'll be using that more often 🤣💕🎀
Well from a medical standpoint what she has done is simply "depuff" by by draining the face of lymphatic material, and utilized massage as a methodology for pulling/stretching/exercising the muscle which creates a temporary lifting effect. She has NOT moved or shifted any bones in the face. Facial bone must be shaved, broken and reset, or grafted in order to be altered. Sorry. But the effect of the massage is excellent for a non surgical procedure.
and lets not forget the great things massage can do for reshaping fatty tissue of the face!
You can actually reshape the face using a sort of massage-I guess you could call it that. By applying a sort of pressure to said area consistently for as long and as many days needed (another example would be the tradition of making heads elongated and kinda like a cone in some parts of Africa, they wrap this, I imagine to be quite painful, wrap around said persons head, to create pressure, and over time it elongates their head.
I'm always amazed at the advanced beauty treatments available overseas. Being a New Zealander/European we dont have a vast array of opportunities with Korean skincare and beauticians. Although we can order items in from overseas.
Id so try this. However being I am not Asian does the treatments work on all face shapes? I'm trying to ask and not offend anyone on race and I don't know if im achieving this.
But either way it looks awesome and id love a massage like this.
I’m pretty sure it works for anyone with a face (that is also imbalanced to some degree). After all the therapist is applying techniques to rebalance faces and it’s an Asian technique, but techniques are meant to be applicable so I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. Perhaps they are more used to Asian clients but I wouldn’t doubt the effectiveness of it on those of different descent 👍
Why would it be offensive? Its a facial treatment
@@thebeesknees2503 Because there are people like that in the world who gets "offended" on nonsensical things. Also their question would've sounded a little ridiculous to people if they didn't explain it.
From the thumbnail it looks super relaxing, can't wait to watch!
That's why i m here😍🤣
that molding mask would 100% give me a panic attack cause of lack of breathing
I was thinking the same !!
Don’t they leave the nostrils open??
I cant believe that i watch this so early..
Same jajaja
Are u an Arabic?
So, yes your deep muscle tissue and fatty deposits definitely seem to have been reworked which is certainly possible as they are pliable. However, you cannot actually move the bones of your facial structure without plastic surgery.
yeah so it's not actually a bone moving massage, more like a muscle + fat molding massage 😅
@@Misoraaauninininiii. 👏
But aren’t your bone/face bones a little malleable with it being sutures? Isn’t that what mewing does? Using your tongue to put pressure on your pallet? In before and after photos I notice that their nose bridges are often a bit higher/forward as well as the lowered angle of their cheeks/cheekbones to nose.
@@apple_piethief9750 I started mewing about 2 years ago. I was 23 when I started, I assumed I wouldn’t get noticeable changes. Mewing closed my open bite/widened my palate/made my already prominent cheekbones extra prominent/improved chin projection/improved nasal breathing. I have definitely experienced changes to the bone! I was told I’d need jaw surgery for my open bite, but apparently my jaw structure is nearly perfect now. I’m a believer now! Haha
Oh man I could totally get into all that deep tissue massage prior to the bone massages! But wow I can’t believe the difference between the first and last session! 😍
Love the details about everything and your review! Tbh I'm iffy on the accuracy of the mask molds taken. Seems like it could be manipulated easily by the placement of the strips and the amount of plaster put on. I initially thought they were going to make face casts, which would have been more accurate. The pics definitely show a difference though! So nice that there can be beauty treatments without injections/surgery.
I wonder if the change is actually from lymphatic drainage
@@Renee-vz3cx It probably is. Drainage and maybe a bit from the shaping/relaxation of muscles. Not so much moving the bones lol, which in your skull are fused together. I wonder how long the results will last.
I did notice that your face was getting more lifted in the last year! I've been to Yakson too, but only did the 10 session treatment for asymmetry. Though it was super painful (tummy was the worst for me), I really liked the results but found that the results aren't super permanent (especially if you have some bad habits like side sleeping or working at a desk) so you have to go back periodically to maintain the results.
heya! roughly how long did the results last for you? i’m interested but it’s really not cheap D:
@@mireille0115 I'd say that for me personally, it lasted a little less than a year. But that takes into account a few things: 1) I chose the asymmetry package, which they said should take more time to correct, 2) due to unrelated health problems, I didn't follow what I was advised by not coming for maintenance every 2 months, and 3) because of my health problems, I wasn't working out and continued bad posture habits (lying on my side when sleeping, etc). They told me if I did pilates regularly and slept on my back, the results would be better maintained so my results are probably on the shorter side of the spectrum. To note, I still see some positive remnants of the massage and it's been 2.5 years. But, it's just not as nice as it looked when I first finished my 10 sessions
@@christinew1981 ah! thank you for the detailed reply, it’s really helpful! at least i know better what to expect long term as many of the reviews are done soon after treatment where there’s still a big difference
so it's a bit like braces. you just keep coming in and reaffirming the shape you want until your bones are where you want them
But even with braces you are supposed to continue wearing retainers afterwards for three-nights-a-week, so you would probably have to have this done regularly every few months or years or something for it to hold in place.
This is my favorite series! So happy you can experience these treatments and show them to us 🧡
Tina giving the disclaimer:“Don’t go pressing into your face at home, it’s dangerous!”
Me at home, pressing my face... oops 🙊 😂
my favorite part is when they "frost" your face into a "cake" lol. I would be crying at that pressure
I watched this out of sheer curiosity, but I would expect that these effects would be temporary and not sure if it's worth the pain and price..
Woah! Slimming facial!
NO, no, no.. Mind me..
KOREAN SLIMMING FACIAL!!!
Being sooo far away from Tina, Just sitting with her amd watching through the screen, itself makes me feel she's my long lost BFF.. 😭😢💜
right? lol I agree!!.
In Sweden we have a saying; “om man vill vara fin, får man lida pin” it roughly translates to like “You have to suffer if you want to be beautiful”.
In German we have a similar saying. It goes like: Wer schön sein will, muss leiden. Translates to basically the same thing xD
i was in pain just watching it. props to tina for being able to endure that! i hope youre happy with the results, i think you're beautiful either way
SAMEE!! I was alright watching until they started shifting around the eyes, I can't imagine the discomfort 😶✋💕🎀
Omg the difference is so visble! Never thought bone structure could be altered non surgically
INDEED SHE'S THE 'TINA TRIES'!! 💜
I can actually see a difference. This was very surprising. The results look natural and really compliment you. Thank you for sharing your experience!
Wow, when you compared the before and after is amazing. It does look intense but very cool and interesting. ❤
The massage looks so soothing , it made me sleepy..
LOL! The 'moving of the bones' and that facial device seems like huge gimmicks and a big waste of money.
I've had my 20 sessions completed. Still going back for maintenance once a month. Must say, years of botox and a sh"** ton of money spent on treatments. The Golki treatment can reach areas that botox or filler can't. It's re-alignment on the bones, from head to toes. Not so much on the muscle and skin. Your cheek bones, chin bone, etc are all underneath. Bone structure is your foundation. So it makes perfect sense too. It is painful. Just think about wearing braces on your teeth. It can get quite tender and sore. I swear by the result. Although it doesn't replace your micro-current treatment. O botox. Or brow lift. Or fillers for fuller lips. It focuses on the bones
Thanks for sharing this Ulie, I've been scouring the Internet for testimonials about this therapy. You are right on the money - it's (much needed) re-alignment! Our bones are much more malleable than people realize (hence the must for proper tongue and cervical posture too), and it's one of my top "to do" at this point, to get to either Singapore or Korea and undergo this treatment, for asymmetry. Cheers to your health!
When you said “pressure” and described how there was lots of it, I had a flashback to when I was getting my canine removed and they didn’t numb me enough so not only did I feel IMMENSE pressure, but I felt pain 😭 It felt like they were pulling the literal life out of me!
oh no i might be getting my wisdom teeth removed soon and ive heard if there isnt pain theres pressure
You can totally see a difference in your face. I'm really impressed. I wish I could have this done. Your best in beauty series is my favorite to watch!
I didn’t know that was possible. Thanks for the video Tina!!
Oh gosh it looks PAINFUL when she was pressing on your face with her knuckles. I was wincing for you hahahah
Lol yup it was painful. Probably the most painful facial I’ve ever had
Omg.... The mask would have freaked me out. I'm claustrophobic. 😬. And the golki looks so painful 😳. You are a brave girl. You look beautiful either way. 😍
😲 I don't think I could have endured this massage.
8:52 idk why... but that plaster thing gave me chills😶
❤️❤️
I got so excited when I got the video notification 😄
Thank you Tina Yong because of you we get to know more about Korean facial therapy 💜
It's 4:39 am in India and I'm still awake 😂😂.......btw I'm soo happy that I watched this video early.......💜💜
It's 4:14 in Pakistan and same here
it's not a slight difference at all it's a big difference but either way this is what I LOVE about Korean procedures, small changes change your entire face in the most delicate, beautiful way possible you end up looking like your best self as opposed to big changes ending up making you no longer looking like yourself in fact worse. you're gorgeous babes! SO LUCKY I FOUND YOUR CHANNEL
The variety of content we get from this channel is amazing! Gotta love Tina 💗
Wow so early I love how much Tina is posting quarantine is boring 😩😩😩😩😩😩
I’m very skeptical about the mask. There’s a lot of ability to pad on the extra plaster.
Me too
It wouldn't feel more loose on the inside though, if it was just tempering with the shape, but I had the same thoughts during the video.
@@anserbruyns523 It would if the weight of it would pull on it differently. I'm not saying it's a definite scam. Just that perhaps that shouldn't be the measure of whether something works.
@@peacockphotography Absolutely true.
Yeah I dunno why Tina is showing us the outside of the plaster mask, the face mold is on the inside... Duh
As someone who tends to grind their teeth at night, this looks amazing. It has changed my face shape quite a bit, from what I can see.
I've received some professional treatments in the past, but it was a complete letdown. They were just kneading my jaw for a bit, literally had 0 results to show other than an oily face.
Why what does grinding do to one's face?
3 videos in two dayyyy!!!!😀😀😀
Anyone else just wanna go with Tina to Singapore or South Korea and just get all these amazing facials, hair treatments and mani pedis
The drastic change of the before and after is amazing. It does really fit you tina~~
The only thing i keep on thinking is that do facial bones really move? Because i only know that the mandle is the one freely movablr. Maybe this massage is to the muscles and not the facial bones? Correct if i am wrong though. Thanks!
When she applied that bandages thing I couldn’t breathe for some reason
My favourite UA-camr I can watch you do it all and still not get bored
Girl u r surprising me...so many videos this week😄
I don’t want anyone shifting my facial bones with their hands 😭
I don't think it's possible to be honest. Seems like something marketing team came up with :)
Human bones - holds the weight of the body and structural support for up to 90 years, sometimes can endure even traumas without breaking.
Also human bones - oh well, she massaged me for 10 sessions, I guess I have to reshape
XD
@@TacseraEpSekahs You actually can "shift" bones :D But only when a child is growing, and pressure is applied at all times- and i mean at ALL times. A great example for this are artificial cranial deformations- it's done by wrapping the head of a child with cloth and stuff.. but alas, you can't change the structure if the maxilla for example, and certainly not with massages :')
@@ellaumbrella5657 that's I've heard, yeah. But massages on grown people - nah :)
@@TacseraEpSekahs totally .. these facials are good to profit off from rich people lmao
And here I have been thinking for the past many videos that dude Tina's face is so perfectly heart shaped, youthful and gorgeous as always! Yes this treatment has worked beautifully to enhance your best features and slimmed it down as well❤️
Tinaaa! Youre on a roll with your uploads this week!
Oh that intro was ✨beautiful✨
I'm in love with Tina's channel and she made me fall for Singapore too EVERYTHING is available there wow💖
You must have to drink SO much water after this!!
That won’t even work on me…Like my double chin is very big even though I’m skinny I- 😂😂💀
Same.. my wide jaw is something
I believe I have a pretty high pain tolerance and I would love to try this out! An alternative for plastic surgery, say lesss
YAYY IM HERE EARLY, LOVE YOU TINA❤❤❤❤❤
Tina you're the inspiration of my everyday ❤ I have to say that you're the first women I subscribed to you always give motivation ❤ love you tina
Love from Australia 🇦🇺❤
i have been waiting for this video since you first mentioned doing it!
I'm calling BS on this, sorry. It is not physically possible to change your bone structure without surgery (or massive trauma).
Yeah I agree that bones can't change like that. It could be lymphatic drainage causing the change?
Love you treating yourself so good ❤️
This is impressive!! I really wish this treatment was in my hometown. I would definitely try it! I would even do the 20 treatment package
Yes another vid! 💖
Love you Tina!💕✨
cant believe all these skin treatment series is still continuing. the fact that almost everything is is Singapore
I almost fell asleep watching the 1st portion of this lol the massaging of the body & face looked so nice 🤗
That just looks uncomfortable/painful as hell lol
You are a trooper for going through that
I love facial videos like this! I can def see a difference in the cheek area!
Hi Tina 💕 Hope your well..you look great as usual!! I so enjoy your videos.., always learn so much!
You look so pretty as always.
I want this! Bring on the pain. tbh when I’m in pain, am I weird? I feel like it’s better like I know something it working when I’m in pain 😂
I litterally was so distracted by the sculpture in the background I had to rewatch the intro after confirming it's a piece from Tina Yu. Super jelly ❤❤❤
I think you're face shape really changed! I feel like I noticed it on your videos before this as well as your face gets slimmer!
This is so cool! I've followed their page for awhile now and I've always been curious about their treatment and results!
Love you so much!! Kisses from Portugal 💜
I did notice in the last videos that you looked slimmer in general and thought it was due to your new health regime. Fantastic results either way.
That looks INTENSE but the results are amazing. There goes everything I've heard about rubbing your skin really hard creates wrinkles... Anyway, I need that bc I'm a side sleeper too and lately I've noticed the asymmetry
There’s definitely ways to rub your skin to create wrinkles and to prevent them! This technique done by a professional probably doesn’t accomplish the former hehe
Very brave in the name of beauty 💜
Wow I just love korean stuff you do😍
After watching her push your stomach down so much it freaked me out I hope it doesn’t hurt
Am I the only one who read it as "Smiling facial" and I was like wut- but then I saw the thumbnail I thought it made sense cause it looked like she was kinda smiling 😂 but then I REALISED FINALLY it said "slimming" 😂😂
Aah I was waiting for this video after you talked about it on instagram
They can do this? I didn't know that!
Woahh never thought it would be such a big difference :D
Watching this too early.... want more videos 😭😭
please more of these kinda videos!!
Why does this seems to hurt?!
Hey Tina ❤️ I bought your Pixie palette and love the colours but I have no imagination 🥲 Could you do a tutorial with some looks? 😍😍
I wish I could come with you on some of these treatments. I can’t tell you how much I want to be able to experience some of these!
Tina, I can see the change in your face shape. You were pretty before, you must do what makes you happy. The after is pretty too!
love all your beauty videos!!
I've always wondered if Alfred is the one recording the Best in Beauty videos 😂 Love this series! 💕
So glad to came to know about such wonderful facial service
Korean people does have a magic wand in their hand 🙏🏻 no doubt why they look so young and flawless
Its all ancient time techniques
