    In this episode of Best in Beauty, I tried a Korean facial resizing treatment known as Golki Therapy. This is a popular alternative to plastic surgery for those wanting to achieve a smaller V line face shape.

    Your face actually looks really different after that’s so crazy it does look more symmetrical and smaller? It’s a good change definitely. It’s weird because people focus so much on the skin and toning the face muscles to combat aging but face also loses/moves bone in the face which is why we look so different from young to old maybe this could be preventative too

  • @asmrtwix

    I can see huge difference between your first and last picture. The bones are sharper and your face got smaller, I mean more lifted up. That's really good for taking care of face getting loosen and having wrinkles. I have seen some salons that does this procedure in Japan, but never tried this type. I will definitely try it soon🥰

My mum is a qualified reflexologist and she says that hard massage can be dangerous if done wrong - it can damage you instead of heal. She has told me some really scary stories about it! So, please be careful and research who you are going to see for treatments involving hard massage to make sure they are qualified and experienced. Soft massage is far less dangerous and can be healing too!

    Well from a medical standpoint what she has done is simply "depuff" by by draining the face of lymphatic material, and utilized massage as a methodology for pulling/stretching/exercising the muscle which creates a temporary lifting effect. She has NOT moved or shifted any bones in the face. Facial bone must be shaved, broken and reset, or grafted in order to be altered. Sorry. But the effect of the massage is excellent for a non surgical procedure.

    • @thetiredworm2100
      @thetiredworm2100 3 роки тому +3

      You can actually reshape the face using a sort of massage-I guess you could call it that. By applying a sort of pressure to said area consistently for as long and as many days needed (another example would be the tradition of making heads elongated and kinda like a cone in some parts of Africa, they wrap this, I imagine to be quite painful, wrap around said persons head, to create pressure, and over time it elongates their head.

      I’m pretty sure it works for anyone with a face (that is also imbalanced to some degree). After all the therapist is applying techniques to rebalance faces and it’s an Asian technique, but techniques are meant to be applicable so I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. Perhaps they are more used to Asian clients but I wouldn’t doubt the effectiveness of it on those of different descent 👍

In before and after photos I notice that their nose bridges are often a bit higher/forward as well as the lowered angle of their cheeks/cheekbones to nose.

Seems like it could be manipulated easily by the placement of the strips and the amount of plaster put on. I initially thought they were going to make face casts, which would have been more accurate. I did notice that your face was getting more lifted in the last year! I've been to Yakson too, but only did the 10 session treatment for asymmetry. Though it was super painful (tummy was the worst for me), I really liked the results but found that the results aren't super permanent (especially if you have some bad habits like side sleeping or working at a desk) so you have to go back periodically to maintain the results.

      @@mireille0115 I'd say that for me personally, it lasted a little less than a year. But that takes into account a few things: 1) I chose the asymmetry package, which they said should take more time to correct, 2) due to unrelated health problems, I didn't follow what I was advised by not coming for maintenance every 2 months, and 3) because of my health problems, I wasn't working out and continued bad posture habits (lying on my side when sleeping, etc). They told me if I did pilates regularly and slept on my back, the results would be better maintained so my results are probably on the shorter side of the spectrum. To note, I still see some positive remnants of the massage and it's been 2.5 years. But, it's just not as nice as it looked when I first finished my 10 sessions

    I've had my 20 sessions completed. Still going back for maintenance once a month. Must say, years of botox and a sh"** ton of money spent on treatments. The Golki treatment can reach areas that botox or filler can't. It's re-alignment on the bones, from head to toes. Not so much on the muscle and skin. Your cheek bones, chin bone, etc are all underneath. Bone structure is your foundation. So it makes perfect sense too. It is painful. Just think about wearing braces on your teeth. It can get quite tender and sore. I swear by the result. Although it doesn't replace your micro-current treatment. O botox. Or brow lift. Or fillers for fuller lips. It focuses on the bones

      Thanks for sharing this Ulie, I've been scouring the Internet for testimonials about this therapy. You are right on the money - it's (much needed) re-alignment! Our bones are much more malleable than people realize (hence the must for proper tongue and cervical posture too), and it's one of my top "to do" at this point, to get to either Singapore or Korea and undergo this treatment, for asymmetry. Cheers to your health!

      Yeah I agree that bones can't change like that. It could be lymphatic drainage causing the change?

    That looks INTENSE but the results are amazing. There goes everything I've heard about rubbing your skin really hard creates wrinkles... Anyway, I need that bc I'm a side sleeper too and lately I've noticed the asymmetry

    • @Kata_Rin
      @Kata_Rin 3 роки тому +2

      There’s definitely ways to rub your skin to create wrinkles and to prevent them! This technique done by a professional probably doesn’t accomplish the former hehe
