    The smell of onions with abit of ginger and garlic frying in oil is just heaven for me!!!!!
    Cabbage was truly ruined in highschool for me too. They used to Kata the cabbage only twice with a panga. That was crimino!!😁

    I tried adding garam masala to my cabbage recipe and it made a huge difference.
    Me high-school made me hate rice.

    Highschool ruined porridge for me. It was just too much. Hot was only available for the first few and I never made it early to the dining hall aki. I love ndengu so soo much

    There is only one thing I hate with a passion in that mix, and that is diced carrots, I love raw carrots, I love grated carrots, BUT, diced cooked carrots? Hahahahaha reminds me of those big chunks of carrots in high school.

      Kenyan cuisine has an influence of Indian and Arabic cuisine, thanks to trading along the Indian Ocean decades ago. For example, chapati, ndengu, chai, dhania (parsley) are just a few foods/drink/spices that both communities enjoy. Similar names too. Very nice recipe ya ndengu Kaluhi :)

      We say Ndengu in Nairobi. On every single packet in supermarkets too, it's spelled as Ndengu so that is what i will always say :)

      For me, as a proud Nairobian, I will keep saying NDENGU.

      You must be new here... i always end the video with a taste test. This video from *2 years ago* wasn't possible because i had not taken pics for my blog yet so i couldn't eat and i also cannot eat from a freaking bowl.
      Maybe yoyr advice means well, but next time watch more videos to understand my style and use a tiny bit of common sense before mansplaining to me because truly, i know what I'm doing.

      Actually, I used your recipe yesterday to make chapos and ndengu... I loved the way mum prepared ndengu when I was young, but highschool spoiled all the fun.
      Your recipe was fire.... I fell for ndengu once more...
      I'm sorry though since I meant no offense, but Incase I have any tips, I just won't hesitate to share with you...
