Hey ONR family,
After doing research, I settled on opening a Euro account in DTB bank. It offered me the best service at an affordable rate. I highly advice you to not use your Kenyan shilling account. Why? The exchange rates for most banks is not good at all. However, DTB doesn't give you an ATM/Debit card. If you'd like a card to withdraw your Euros anywhere in the world, I&M, in my opinion, has a good Foreign (Euros) account too. It came highly recommended as well.
The rest of the banks, had hidden fees I didn't like.

Hi, I’m curious to know, does Google use an intermediary bank, and if so, how much does the intermediary bank charge? Is it fixed or charged as a percentage of the money sent?

My google Adsense don’t show the amount I made that’s in analytics but I did everything I needed to do, and made more than min threshold but it’s showing i didn’t make any threshold. Will my money still come even though it don’t show?

About counter rate kindly be with a bank that you can negotiate with before it's credited.
Yes, this is true. Also, call before the account is credited and negotiate a better rate if you have to keep a Ksh Account for foreign currencies.

UA-cam withdraws automatically every month (21st to 24th) into your account. So, unless you mean in your bank account? You can keep money there for as long as you want.

Did you use an account in your local currency or one has to have an account in dollars or euros?
Use a Euro account. It's better, as you can store the money in foreign currency and exchange it when you need to.

You can use a Kshs. account, but it's better to use a Euro account. Fewer charges, and you don't have to suffer on the bank's exchange rate.

This is very informative. I am just grappling with something. Say you have an equity account already and you want to use that to receive your payment, am i supposed to change it to euro account? or I just open an account with I&M or DTB.
Either is fine. I only opened a Euro account to avoid the banks exchange rate. I wanted control over that. Also, from my research I&M and DTB had the best euro accounts. The other banks have alot of hidden fees but confirm with Equity.

No you don't. It's better if you have the Euro account. Less fees and charges but depending on the bank. You can receive in your normal Ksh. account, however, if their exchange rate is bad from Euros to Ksh then you have no option. A Euro account gives you options to withdraw in Euros and go to a bureau to acquire Ksh. or save in Euros. Ps. Kenyans are not paid in dollars but euros.

Yes it is. I currently use DTB, but you have to withdraw at a physical branch. If you want a card, then go for I&M.

A friend of mine was able to apply for the pin and it was was sent to them even before hitting the payment threshold. Anyway, No. The money doesn't go anywhere, it stays within your Google Ad Sense A/c.

Yes it's normal for it to show zero. However on the Balance, it will tell you the amount you are due to be paid or your last payment.

From my country Kenya, you can receive it in 2 ways. Wire transfer or they send a cheque to you. I personally use wire transfer as it's faster and it takes 3 days to reflect in my bank account. The cheque might take days to months as it will be posted to your PO Box. About Western Union, I am not aware of it because I never saw that option when I got monetized. I hope this helps. However, wait for you Google Adsense to show you, your options!
