My son Eric was born on August 20, 1986, and these songs take me right back to that time, best time of my whole life ..thank yku for the memories Cindy from Athens, Ga. USA . 🍊
Robert Pamer's Addicted to Love at number 10 when it is a way more talked about song than any of the top four. Broken Wings is actually the pop number one of 1986.
Too Good To Be Forgotten y Teenage Frankenstein las mejores del 1986, para mi gusto.
Qualifiers: no songs from movies, tv, musicals, contests, etc., only songs released as songs. Singles from albums are considered for the year they were released as singles, not for the year the album was released. Album tracks not released as singles are considered for the year the album was released. 10. Beastie Boys - Fight for Your Right (To Party!) 9. Bananarama - Venus 8. Cameo - Word Up! 7. The Pretenders - Hymn to Her 6. Cutting Crew - (I Just) Died in Your Arms 5. Paul Simon - You Can Call Me Al 4. The Bangles - Walk Like an Egyptian 3. The Bangles - If She Knew What She Wants 2. Cyndi Lauper - True Colors 1. Europe - The Final Countdown
Uh where is Opus, Live is Life? Was it supposed to be listed either in 1985 or 1986? Believe it or not. I was focused on getting the album of that singles, since I first heard it on the campus of Brehm Prep. School in Carbondale, Illinois. I’m also bearing the brink of bad luck of not finding the album on cd on Amazon and CD universe.🥲😭
This is the most stupid list I have ever seen...Murphy, Burning Herat, Broken Wings are from 1985...first of all! Bo Living on a prayer and no Final Countdown. This is a joke
This is actually based on Billboard. It is an accurate list. It is also based on overall sales and airplane throughout the entire year. So some songs that came out and 1985 got more AirPlay and 1986 because the songs did not just fly up the chart as quick back then.

"That's What Friends are For" by Dionne and Friends was the number-one song of 1986.

Where is Dieter Bohlen's projects like C.C.Catcg, Modern Talking, Lian Ross?
Whoever cut these clips in three pieces ruined the whole songs. Sad!
