I considered preordering her when she was announced, but didn't end up pulling the trigger because I thought her MSRP was quite high given her seemingly simple design. She would also be difficult to integrate into one of my existing sets - I don't have any Hello Good Smile figures. I will probably wait for her to go on sale, if it ever happens, before picking her up. Maybe it is just me, but I think the E.M.M.I. figma looks a bit cheap. I like how big it is, but I do wish they spent more effort on its paintwork. It looks so plain, especially when you display it next to the beautiful Dread Samus. I can't recall the last time I saw a figure and immediately thought to myself: yes, this is THE one. But this Chun-Li by Max Factory is it. She is that good. To anyone who is debating on whether she is worth the asking price: she is. I have no doubt that there will be another re-release for her in the future. The same goes for Alter's Remilia Scarlet. Her quality is insane and will definitely remain the best version of her for many years to come.
I got Remilia for 60k yen shipped. Needless to say she is now the most expensive figure in my collection. But I am very happy because she is also the most beautiful figure in my collection (followed closely by Alter's Formidable, Prinz Eugen, MF Houshou Marine, and Myethos Miku) I really made a mistake by not pre-ordering Flandre and Remilia (Flandre is even more expensive now so I didn't get her yet). I probably have to wait for the release. (please alter!!) You are correct that she feels bigger than usual 1/8 because of the extended wings and elevated base. It's really impressive figure.
After Shipping I think Remilia was around 46k for me? So even though you had to pay a bit more I wouldn't say it was drastic for a figure so in demand. With Flandre I think it was a common mistake as Alter figures tend to drop shortly after release. Can't blame people for not jumping on the preorder. In fact I almost skipped out too in an attempt to save some money but having a UA-cam channel kinda pushed me to just get her and make a video about Flandre

Try to only buy figures from franchises I know and enjoy, but those Alter Flandre and Remilia speak to me and I may make them an exception if/when they get a re-release
I wish they rerelease Samus figma from Dread. Missed it initially and now it's impossible to find at decent price :( I think it'd be great opportunity to rerelease it now with E.M.M.I because they go so well together.

Wow this is an amazing haul, it has to be the best haul video you did!!(that i've seen) The nendo miku is crazy cute. Chun has to be the best chun fig made ever. I dont even like chun much, shes hard to play and her face changes every title, but this chun face is just wow. Remilia is just high quality and worth the money definitely. Artorias detail is just wow it looks like its those custom painted tabletop figures thats done by professionals. Just forget that its not 100k yen LOL You Americans must be overjoyed with the yen exchange rate. Imagine if you bought this with pre covid exchange rates.
The final price I paid for Artorias with shipping included was around $610 and I consider myself very lucky lol. I don't think I would have picked him up if the yen wasn't so weak. These Gecco figures are getting too expensive and I already can see myself having to skip future releases as the yen recovers. Thankfully I know I don't need every single one so I just gotta focus on a few select statues
I'm so beyond jealous at this point that I sat on the sidelines for the Remilia pre order and missed out on it. I want it so badly but the current 60-70k yen I see for it is just too big of a pill to swallow. Praying for a re-release soonish

Also I have to thank you, I encountered MX-chan in a shop so I had to get her, after your reviews, and my love for Toridamono. ;) EMMI had traumatized me a little, I have to admit. Not the most enjoyable part of Dread.
MX Chan's charm wins another over lol. Toridamono recently drew her in a Bikini which was a nice surprise. I thought she was never coming back. Honestly I like E.M.M.I but towards the end of the game it got a little tedious to deal with em
That's interesting. I have to look for it. Yes, the first EMMIs were ok, a bit of a pain but acceptable. The last ones who could track through the walls were too much, and a bit redundant.
Look up Jump Snowman by Damtoys. I needed some extra footage and just decided to use it for fun. Love the figure but without a stand it's so hard to keep balanced cause of the massive head lol
14:45 I had issues getting her right hand wing on, did you struggle any? lol. Flandre is by far superior to me, but I am a Flandre fan :3 As for Chun-Li, maybe someone will make a nice custom stand for her... that concrete one is just ugh for such a nice figure.

Street Fighter's one of the few Traditional Fighters I still play even though I never pick Chun due to playstyle. Older I get the harder I find it to find time for fighting games but I love keeping up with tournaments and stuff

Chun Li's prominent tibia bone is not only a BAD design choice, but it just looks.....wonky. Bad anatomy. (I'm a sculptor BTW)
