A mate of mine was a partsman for a vauxhall dealer and when they had a vivaro gearbox to change and they got quite a lot, the Techs always used the genuine renault oil as when they were a renault dealer they never had much trouble with trafic gearboxes as long as they stayed with origonal oil. They never used the oil from the local factors even though it was considerably cheaper. Wonder why... Did cause some arguments ....
I have done this job, a year ago on my skoda octavia 07 reg,, it was stiff shifting ,, ,there is no bushing ,only that black triangle plastic with white small rectangle plastic ,which it slides on the gear selector ,on my car it was different ,that long plastic, had kind of split lips in the end .to pull it out I had to squeeze them split lips in ,add push it out ,,,,however I did put grease on it ever since all good.
Got the same with my 2010 Skoda Fabia 1.4 TDI. The best bit is when you do a parts search for the 1.4 it doesn't come up with any selector! Identical to yours so I'll probably try the 1.6 part.
Needed a part for my Renault Master. Little switch and orange triangle for hazard light. Could not find it in the Netherlands. Went to Ali express, ordered it from China and it arrived in my letterbox within a week and at a third of the price!
@@bodgitandleggitgarage you dont know the name of the part do you? Is called a gear shift lever? Or a transmission fuse lots of different names on google lol cheers mate.
Leon just a thought. The vibration i do a lot of Volvo's and it's fairly common to get a abnormal vibration whilst driving and it's almost always caused by a sticking caliper. You get the vibration when driving and NOT applying the brakes. Interesting video.
Hi mate I kind of thought the same thing as well I did check all the calipers to make sure there was not sticking couldn't see anything abnormal that's why I went to the gearbox just to see if there was anything internally that was maybe making a noise did this video about 3 4 months ago the car still hasn't come back for the vibration so either due to maybe not enough oil in the gearbox or just hasn't happened again I'm not sure
I'm not looking forward to doing this job hahah ,can you tell me why my windows only work once after I reconnect battery ? They stop working after I've started the engine
Great vid leon had the same shit with a 2.0 tdi a few weeks ago changed the box oil with new genuine and vibration fucked off that didnt look like 2 l of box oil id agree with ya on that
For future reference, I’m a skoda tech and the parts pictures are for reference only and are not actually a picture of what’s on the car , you have to open Etka for description of parts and if it’s actually used on your vin
Thanks for the information anyway mate too much appreciated maybe one day you'll have the problem just watch my video again and you'll be able to fix LOL

Yes mate I was thinking that I'm not sure what they sent me the car is still going and has not been an issue this obviously is a problem with these vehicles the guy on the parts department didn't know what he was doing
Reinforces the point: don't buy a vag vehicle! I tend to stick to Ford's, btbh even they are being more value engineered and things break more easily/quicker/bearings wear out at less miles, etc, than before. Look at the 1.0 ecoboost engine overheating/cracking issue, etc.

Sometimes the VAG part catalogue is not clear, but in this case it is. The old style leaver has part number 6Q0711202L and need the two bushes, the upgraded version has number 6R0711202 and not needed the bushings PR-0EM is the old, PR-0EJ is the upgraded version. Always check the PR(production code) sticker in the trunk near by the spare tyre. I'm using oemepc.com to find the exact part number for a car, in the comment section there is the PR code as well. The VW dealer should ask for the PR code if the part number is not clear, or have two or more versions.... www.oemepc.com/skoda/part_single/catalog/sk/markt/CZ/modell/RO/year/2011/drive_standart/699/hg_ug/711/subcategory/711030/part_id/2544064/lang/e#sec_1

Parts man walks into the dealership workshop, see's the mechanics, "I've had this dickhead on the phone going on about we sent him the wrong bit, blah blah blah," Mechanic, "The diagram is wrong."
Sorted in the end ,well done .I often wonder if the plastics the car manufacturers use is on its tenth time around from china recycling, utter shite!! .Very rare you ever get something apart without at least one clip breaking.
don't quote me on this, but from experience, if VAG redesign a part, they seem to change the last letter of the part number, like XXX-XXX-XXX-XXA becomes XXX-XXX-XXX-XXB I wasn't aware of those chassis ears, those would be ideal for finding a bad wheel bearing on my motor (normal diagnostic techniques; wobbling the wheels about, spinning them round, shifting load whilst going along can't pinpoint the damn thing).
Good to know mate thanks I've also done a video on these chassis ear they are certainly handy if you contact Hubitools tell them I sent you they will look after you
I used to be a car mechanic but the modern cars dont get me if you know what i mean. VAG use to be great cars but the modern ones are totaly shit. Just as a lot of other brands.... No i stick to young and oldtimers en de modern ones i bring to the garage.
