Just purchased one of these from a secondhand shop for £25. A bit more dear than yours but in better condition and still near negligible compared to the film. Thanks for talking through the functions and all, I look forward to making use of mine soon

Hi, yup I struggled with my one, the catch is under the strap on the end of the camera, mine was rusted shut and I gently used a screwdriver to open it, sounds like yours may have the same issue....

I think it´d be great to give that 1931 antiquity a little bit of a chance and make it look like brand new again.

Think just a general clean. What comes off comes off and the rest is just history.
