- So many times Christians get this kind of a view that everything is going to be peaches and cream, when they you know, that they become Christians, and all their problems will be gone. You know, "just take your God's pill and everything will be okay".
But as you walk with the Lord, you find out that mostly, it's just one trial after another with him giving you the victory when you look to Him. And when you don't to one trial after another, no victories. But like I said before, trials are beautiful...
And tonight we're all going to take a beating in the Lord. Tonight, we're all going to be scorch. Tonight, we're all going to be whipped in love. Because unless our eyes are open, we'll never see. And unless we see the darkness and the hypocrisy and the compromise and the half hearted serving that we all call Christianity today. We'll never have anything better.
If you're satisfied with a heating system and a cold house, you'll never have better heat. And if you're satisfied with the air conditioning and a hot house, you'll never have better air conditioning. If you're satisfied living with rags, you'll never get better clothes. If you're satisfied living in a world where people are dying and how every single day sinking down into the pits of hell, then you'll never reach them and no one else will.
We're all hoping that God's gonna do something and God's hoping that we'll do something. For he has given us every tool under heaven. He's given us the Holy Spirit to empower us. He's given us the Bible to teach us and feed us. He's given us the blood to wash us from sin. He's given us the fellowship and the church so that we can have people to cry with and pray with and rejoice with.
He's given us all these tools and in Revelation 19 It says "hallelujah, for the wedding supper of the Lamb has come for her brought his bride has made herself ready." Listen to that. "His bride has made herself ready."
Why only 2 comments so far I wonder. I was saved in 1980 and immediately began "discipleship" under the Last Days Newsletter and Keith's music. It continued with Winkey Pratney's Youth Aflame Bible Study and one on one and group discipleship with the help of other hungry and on fire brothers and sisters in college with me. Last night I sat down to the piano to worship the Lord and the best and almost ONLY songs I could come up with to express the longing of my heart for the Lord to receive the glory due His name were songs of Keith's. After ALL THESE YEARS where are are the songwriters to replace the passion and truth found in Keith's expressions? I continue to wonder why God allowed him to be taken so soon. We don't have enough prophets today who share the truth. We are asleep in the Light. God wake us up. I will continue to sing his songs until Jesus returns and pray that God give me the grace and anointing to write and sing some new songs full of biblical truth compelling us to give our all to Christ, to repent and to follow Him.
The message of Keith's ministry is more relevant than ever.

I remember this music to be from the eighties. Keith Green had a big influence on me. I remember worshiping in my kitchen while washing dishes. My stereo was in there. Keith’s music touched my heart to understand God with gratitude. I am so grateful for him and his music.
a founding member of the Jesus Music Era. His very emotional music inspired my walk with the Lord. I graduated in 79. precious and innocent time for Christian Music. simple choruses, fervent worship. Keith Green brought that to the conversation. musicians didn't get payed much. A love offering was all that was required in those early days.

POWERFUL message! This world needs more messages like this. Most all Christians are failing thinking all along that they are alive when they are dead. My life is not what it should be but by the Grace of God I want to change. I hope others will hear this message and give their lives 100% to God. He is returning soon and we must be ready.

Everybody should listen to this. Keith called himself merely "a pencil" in the hand of the Great Poet, God Almighty. No one credits the pencil, which is what he wanted. This is a winning combination: God + GOOTW (get out of the way).
