The level design/sound and encounters tells an amazing story.. Level 3 is probably the most artistic action packed musically pleasingly thing ever created in that era.
I miss this game. This stage takes place in Neo Kobe from the Snatcher game by Konami which is kind of interesting. Even the final boss and those two skeletal dudes are Snatchers in design!
How many of you fellow, young GenXers lost countless hours to this game? Level 3 in particular is easily in my Top 10 moments in gaming. The score, the level design, the pacing, and the art design are absolutely mind blowing. I can talk about this level for hours. Seriously. I know it like the back of my hand. From every weapon upgrade to every music cue to every enemy to even the damn cool low end of the sound effect when you detonate a bomb…this level is nothing short of perfection.
Whenever I talk about perfect game design I say : The ultimate action-platformer level was Stage 3 in Contra 3, nothing in the genre can beat that level. Bonus points for having one of the greatest tracks in gaming history.
I want a Contra movie now I've been waiting for soo long for this my favorite childhood game to be a film come on people who's with me a Contra live action film!!
Playing this on the Switch I managed to get through the first part but the second boss is a bitch. Are you supposed to hit him right when you see the red orb?
nice game i have downloaded also nes versions for pc emulators i need tell you gba gamers not like me and others who use gba emulator with cheats have hell play without cheats
Disagree, cuphead has smoother controls and that makes it easier overall and you can screw up a couple of times without being fatal, this game specially this stage dont cate about fairness xD

So damn true
Music yes, Sound no. The sound is awful. NES had better effects.
@@haroldkrivell2524 This is an emulator, the real thing does not sound like this trust me.
I have made songs inspired largely by this level. ⚙️
this game is a legend, one of the best games for snes an one of the best of whole history.
This game is still so epic! i freaking love the soundtrack.
yeahhh
Neo Kobe steel factory ua-cam.com/video/qJ5CwGVyTho/v-deo.html
Still my favorite stage to this day, and I love how it intensifies as you go through this level.
This OST is so epic!

Best stage ever
So you fight two robots (one bronze and one blue), and then you fight a giant terminator like robot? Epic!
Yup. that's we old school kids had to deal with back in the day with limited continues. but damn it was it fun! i love the soundtrack too.
@@miguelb5661 you know the Japanese version had the Konami Code, infinite continues, and an unlockable stage select?
If only games these days had bosses as challenging as this.
Blah Blah do u think it's challenging
it's bat shit crazy dude
god level difficulty
only maniacs can complete these games 😂😂😂😂😂
Love the tune when completing a stage, It's just pure epic.
This level will make you call your mommy if you play it on hard...
beat it on hard, just had to use my restore point since i'm fussy when it comes to contra lives
f***ing mid-boss won´t give up!
tucker had too much fight in him
this contra its so dark, i liked the mistical escenary 3, robots very creapys

Millennial here, 36 years old. Tons
My nerves are too bad to play this today. 🤣

I want a Contra movie now I've been waiting for soo long for this my favorite childhood game to be a film come on people who's with me a Contra live action film!!
Me and my dad have been struggling with the first mid-boss for at least an hour total. Thanks!
The spread gun still killing as the main classic.
I always felt the flame thrower was best…for this level anyways..
@@glinkler1422 totally agree, in this stage flametrower was top tier
What an amazing piece of design for such and early time, this is truly and epic.
When you hear the background music it means the game gets serious
stellar work my friend.
lol those robotic balls at the beginning i called them evil dinner rolls i dont know why XD
As a kid the boss fight always use to freak me out…
The hours i use to spend on this stage as a kid got me weak.
I didn't think you'd make it past the fire the second time. Nice fucking job.
How are you climbing faster..? I can't avoid the minibosses attacks at all. It drags along the wall and catches me no matter what I do.
I still have this game! yes 🙌🏾 the best for SNES HISTORY!!!
man the boss on this stage terrified me as a kid
If you think this game and Contra 4 is hard, try Shattered Solider on the PS2. First time in 10 years I tossed my controller to the ground in anger.
This is probably the closest that this game comes to being a platformer.
Like em 2023! Contra Sempre!
I remember the Robots turning into little bunnies
This Third Boss is nightmare
I myself hate this stage the wall robot doesn't give you enough time to hit him
Playing this on the Switch I managed to get through the first part but the second boss is a bitch. Are you supposed to hit him right when you see the red orb?
Yes, that's when it's vulnerable.
When games required memory skill and repetition
Yess…..
Stage 3 - Steel Mill Factory
Always though this was a refinery😅
CONTRA 3 STAGE 3
CONTRA 3 LEVEL 3
I hate the first mini boss... that son of a bitch.
Lmao you kid's are clueless the emulator is ruining the sound.
Game isn't supposed to sound this bad
Me suscribo
nice game i have downloaded also nes versions for pc emulators i need tell you gba gamers not like me and others who use gba emulator with cheats have hell play without cheats
Holy fuck this game.
This was very hard but have to admit, Cuphead is much harder however it doesn't have the nostalgic factor of my tween age playing it.
Disagree, cuphead has smoother controls and that makes it easier overall and you can screw up a couple of times without being fatal, this game specially this stage dont cate about fairness xD
Cuphead is easier, this game has faster action and there's many bullets in this game, the bosses are also very tricky to fight.
