I thought 20,000 kJ equalled 2000 calories and was really surprised until after googling it found it was over 4000 cals, holy moly.

I row 3-5 hours a day, usually 6 days a week, and my friends always ask me why i eat so much and why i consume so much more liquids and i pretty much just send them the link to this vid and it shows them why.

LOL gotta say all that white bread and processed food doesn't exactly inspire me as an amateur rower. these folks never heard of the plant based movement? I clicked on this video assuming elite athletes could provide me with more insight on how to eat like an elite person. I understand caloric intake. :)
I'm not plant based but agree with you that looks like a lot of processed food. Terrible habits to pick up as an active young person.
