- Ok so this is a very unexpected duo. Tom MacDonald and Ben Shapiro rapping together was def not what I expected in 2024 with their newest song "Facts" Its very interesting because this song doesn't provide any facts to match the title. Its very odd to see a political figure rapping so let me know your thoughts on this as well!

@@kristinetibbs702 He said this back in 2012, and still had it in 2018 until he openly spoke about how he might be wrong about how rap and hip-hop might have their place but he still doesn't find it interesting. Even in the lyrics he blatantly says how much he hates mainstream rap over wasting on hookers and cars or talking about how they did prison time.
Ben is an artist. He's an accomplished violinist. He may not be a rapper, but I thought this was cool of him to put himself out there and Tom for doing this.

Facts if you follow Ben, his bars echoed commentary he’s given on the things/people he was throwing shade at.
Ben interviewed Tom last year after Tom dropped “Dirty Money”, they joked about him doing some rap on a future video. The slogan on Ben’s hoodie is his originally, Tom used it in “Fake Woke”.
Michael Knowles blind reaction to this was hysterical if you’re interested in a laugh 😆
I noticed something with his reaction, every time Ben came on he was always looking down which is why he didn’t see him earlier and it’s honestly hilarious!
One of the messages was an imagery-message that I can tell that Nova brainstormed into existence. Notice the three visual-aspects of Tom (a Caucasian renegade-rapper) being himself during his verse, Ben (a conservative Jew) being himself while appearing to be doing a political-podcast during his verse, and then the two of them together in hoodies. The message is that two men from different pasts and different walks in life can have a lot of common ground (symbolic of the US being a melting pot of races and cultures). If you watch this video a few times, you can see that Nova added a lot more layers of imagery-messaging in it. Her level of imagery-art is off the charts. When you combine the genius-levels of all three of these people, you can understand how they broke the internet with this song and music-video.
This song shoot up to #1 in iTunes like it had a rocket strapped to it, because they boldly and unapologetically addressed issues that the vast majority of the US citizenry are fed up with, and with the irritation being felt in all races and cultures in our society. People are sick of the divisiveness being pushed by the far-left ("woke" people) that demands that everyone be put into groups and subgroups, while they hypocritically claim to be about unity, equality, and tolerance.
One of the beauties of the situation is that Tom and Ben are completely independent from the mainstream-media and the music-industry. Not only can't they be cancelled, Ben gave a call to arms to the silent-majority to make their song a #1 hit, and the speed of how fast the silent-majority shoved these guys to the top of iTunes shows exactly how much of a majority of US citizens agree with the facts they were spitting. I've noticed that a few reactors have called this song an anthem. It is. It's a national anthem of the majority of people being pissed-off with what the far-left is demanding that our republic turn into, and they agree with Tom and Ben offensively/rudely telling the "wokesters" to STFU and shove their power-and-control issues up their butts. People are done with "woke" people telling them how to think, how to feel, and censoring/cancelling anyone that thinks and feels different than they do. To put it succinctly, they're not putting up with a small minority of people bullying them anymore.
They didn't need to 'educate' about the facts because they were common-sense facts. They know that there are only two genders because biology says so, and people who call that a "construct" are ridiculous science-deniers. They know that defunding the police causes a lessening of public-safety because the rise of violent-crime in cities that defunded the police proved it. They know that poor choices leads to poor outcomes because Ben epitomizes good choices leading to good outcomes, and Tom and Nova are living examples of changing their choices and changing their outcomes. The reason why the song had such a massive level of appeal is because people responded to their common-sense about how cause-and-effect determines the outcomes for people, and that a victim-mentality will never lead to fulfilling our potential as people. Ben has been educating people about cause-and-effect for a lot of years in his debates and podcasts. Now Tom is doing it through his musical artistry in his lyrics. This song was a matter of wrapping their educating into a musical volley ball, and then spike-serving it over the political/cultural divide and down the throats of the far-left. In a literal sense they were saying, "If you want something to be triggered about, here's some in-your-face triggering for you to chew on."

I loved it. Ben already talks fast so him rapping just sounds natural. He sounded a lot like the edited clip of him reading the lyrics to WAP that made it look like he was rapping. I found the video very entertaining and I listened to it earlier today. I largely ignored Tom’s part the first go round because I was looking forward to Ben’s part and it did not disappoint. Ben is a classically trained violinist so he does have some musical talent.
So, should we expect Ben to be wearing a yamaka with dreadlocks and some face piercings on their next rap video together? One of the reasons I think this song is succeeding so well is that the first bit of Ben’s rap is not only better than anyone would have reasonably expected from someone who vocally dislikes the genre, but every line and phrase is packed with meaning all the way up until he says “no cap.” It’s extremely efficient writing.
For example, “let’s look at the stats,” a line that Ben is known for saying at the beginning of many a point he makes about politics. “I’ve got the facts,” is an allusions to the line Ben has printed on his hoodie, he is well known for saying facts don’t care about your feelings and a strong proponent of basing policy decisions on concrete statistical facts. “My money like Lizzo my pockets are fat” an allusion to many comments he has made about fat acceptance within the culture, many times centering around Lizzo, as well as of course the beginning on dunking on his basement dwelling critics. “Homey I’m epic, don’t be a WAP” this line is filled with meaning because of how publicly he criticized the song WAP, and then how the internet has fun with it including a UA-cam creator turning his reading of that song’s lyrics into a rap song by a Ben, making this line a meta commentary on what he is doing singing a rap song this very moment. “Bro it’s a yarmulke, homey no cap” - My favorite line in the rap. It references his devout Judaism, his distaste for some of the new lingo such as “no cap” which he and his sister did a whole video about, and the the line “no cap” has the double meaning of meaning no lie as well as the fact that he is instructing you to not refer his yarmulke head covering as cap.
These first few lines are layered with a tremendous amount of reference and meaning to Ben Shapiro followers, it’s just extremely well written which also adds to the humor of it all.

Ben wasn't doing this to educat. Like he said he did it for fun, but that doesn't mean he left us with nothing. If brake down his lyrics you'll find a lot of dises and brags, but there is also advice. For example, he mentioned compound interst vs living with your parents yelling at people from behind a keybord. The advice is simple; if you want to succeed get out there and take risks.
I'll help you here with some of the facts that you were looking for:
- There was a time, where you could see American flags on every home, especially after 9/11. Now, you hardly see an American flag outside a home because you're afraid to offend a BLM or "alphabet" person.
- "If I'm a bigot because I'm white" is referring to people making assumptions about someone their appearance or the racial history without getting to know the person. (I would have made the same assumption on Tom because of his appearance, but i went to find out more.)
- "You defund the police but no one's there to protect you" refers to the crime level exploding because of "defund the police" and weak prosecutors, who are negatively affecting the areas that the defund people claimed to be helping in reducing police presence.

There are some facts in the song. The cities that cried,”defund the police” are experiencing major increase in crime and police leaving their forces, people leaving their states…so Tom is stating facts, there is no one to protect them.

Shapiro IS a musician. He studied classical violin for 15 years. There’s a video online of Ben playing the theme from Schindler’s List on violin when he was 12 yrs old.

I’m pretty sure some of the facts they want you to know are:
1. Rap music glorifies drug use, violence, and hypersexualized girls and women
2. American people used to hang the US flag on their home for holidays and Sundays but now it’s illegal in some places and frowned upon in others - hang an LGBTQ flag and BLM flag no problem.
3. People who speak factually on human biology are frequently fired, forbidden to post on social media, and don’t have the power to stand up for themselves because the loud voices of the leftist mob shout them down. But people like Tom M and Ben S can and do speak of these things and cannot be shouted down because they have the money and power and the audience to stand up for what is right and good.
