I love Frightening Fridays! I love how a house built in the 1800s is described as really old. I live in Oxfordshire, England and an old house here is from the 1500s!

The cottage I lived in before having my kids was this tiny, slate floor, thatched roof, windy stairs place from around 1560. My sister swore it was haunted but I never experienced anything myself…

Nice to see you back with the scary stories. Love them! This one reminds me of the house I used to live in with my friends in Birmingham, UK. Nothing really spooky happened like things moved (although some argue) but the feeling of the house was that there are many souls attached to it. You felt constantly watched and being in the huge garden after sundown was suffocating. One day we had a party and this girl that I barely knew said to me: the ghosts of the house are really happy you all are here. That was weird.

Such a great and well known ghost story, its really a quaint and simple home. But something about it is very disturbing and creepy. I remember watching sightings as a child, it used to freak me out so much, but I'd watch it every Sunday night. lol glutton for punishment I suppose. You have such a relaxing voice and combined with scary stories, you're just the best. Keep up the great work!

I remember this story..so scary..and yes there is a pull to certainplaces..energies....I have dreams about a past house and many things endured (not bad bad for me) but so much happened there..bad stuff in reality..and stuff that just was unearthly...and as you mentioned it can be a psychological effect..( I have a degree in psychology) yet still here I am saying some things are just so hard to explain....better left alone....move forward n TRY to heal xoxo thanks for the upload xoxo

My Dad was born and raised in Atchison! It's such a pretty little town. There is a plethora if Victorian style mansions that are absolutely gorgeous.
