Thanks Bob and was glad I could help you with getting your stuff handling better for you. Only took me 3 weeks to actually sit down and make this video thanks to work , been working like crazy...
thanks for your input, i was upset when i made this video, but the more i watch it the more i lean toward it was both our faults. but i do agree i shouldnt drive as wide threw that section, just the car struggled for forward bite threw there and i learned early to just take it a bit wider. I sadly didnt get to qualify so i had to start last which is rough.
If we’re talking about race craft, protect your line from start to finish, especially if you’re running point. You set the pace and line for everyone behind u. I would have taken the same tighter line if I was following. Even Bostick was using the tighter line. You tried to protect position by closing the door, but it was too late.
You didn't get punted in my opinionthis. You blew the corner and went wide. When you got back to the race line he was there ON the race line. Watch it frame by frame. He had the line after you blew wide and you drove back into him on the way out of the corner. You drove up over his front tires with your rear. That looks like he had the line. Just what I see in the video. The inside is the inside. If you have the line you have it. He definitely had it the whole corner. If a Nascar driver drives down into the car under him it's his fault not the guy on the inside holding the line.
I knew i went wider but I've done it the whole event because it flows better being half a car off the pipe. Do I think inwent a bit to far wider. Id say so.. but my point was , put yourself in that position on lap 1? Thats the part thats hard to argue. I agree im partial to blame which is why I'm not crazy upset about it. I asked 4 other racers at the track when they reviewed it and they all agreed with me. But again what do I expect since its the H main.
I agree. Dude looks like he had the line and took the corner way tighter. Not much he do could considering he had several cars on his bumper. My assumption is that he had no idea you were going so wide,,,,,
Great video and even better cheese dip! 😀. Really enjoyed meeting you and racing the CRCRC with you.

As someone who Raced in the A main at this event. I think that pass was one of the relatively clean ones.
