(This should also theoretically work for Porsche 911/Boxster from 97-03, as they also use the same Megamos ID48 transponder.) Awesome video. Unfortunately, it doesn't help me with my problems. My problem is my immo is water damaged and so only works periodically. I have the original key, and it works fine, but cloning that 10k times does me no good if the box that interrogates it is just going to crap itself randomly. What I REALLY need is the 96 bit key within my working transponder. With that, I could better analyze the i2c EEPROM data I've ripped from the immo, and then find a way to use that info to convince the engine computer the key is just always in. "bUt iT WiLl gET StOlEn!!!" ummm... Yeah... I can secure the car any number of other ways. Having it leave me stranded in the middle of nowhere whenever it decides is a much bigger problem.
When using Autel for this video function. Use a standard ID48 transponder. Imagine that the Autel is actually doing EEPROM via OBD. Mainly works on VAG UDS system with working key (i.e. 2009-2013 models on the VW Golf)
Hi. What vehicle/year was that on please? I tried to add a key to a 2016 VW Scirocco today using my KM100 and IM508/XP400pro, but neither would learn the new key. I've been told to copy/clone it. D you know if either of my tools would be capable on this vehicle? The 508 wouldn't read the data using the smart selection mode.
sir, please educate me -- MY2015 VW Polo 6R -- came with one flip key and one normal key. If i buy two more keys with clean ID48 transponder in it. Can we clone and use all four keys? Can get any ID48 and not necessarily xhorse ID48 needed, right?
it says in the title that the transpoder was ID48.. what you wrote are mainly superchips which will clone with most of vehicles but some vehicles mostly european will need specific transpoders.
@@firebirder xhorse make key, clone. Autel Id48 generate it. It bead to read immo data. When I can read it. I font need to clone it. Ask autel support. This is not Id48 clone
Hello?
Do you know is the process? Is the same for a volkswagen atlas 2018 using im508s
Can autel im508s clone id48 96bit after subscription ?
Hi, thank-you for your demonstration. Would this process work if i purchase a used key with a newly cut blade?
if you have the immo data .... why not program the key... what use / advantage
is clone in this situation?
That Insert working key into the programmer threw me off. I put in the original and had to start all over.
Thanks for the great video, please tell me how to clone id 48 using Autel. Is it dangerous or not dangerous?
This is brilliant. I was getting tired of waiting 2 hours or more for xhorse to clone a 48 chip. Thanks so much for this short video.
Will the remote (open/close) also work this way or has it to be learned on another way?
Remote can be configured easily via VCDS.
Let me Ask u if i have another same id48 chip I put on keyfob Does work or not same like Original ?
Hi friend, how do I read the chip id?
Hello
Please Can i use this way to clone chip for old models vag between 2004 - 2008
Please 🙏

How do I find out what key my car has to know what hardware to buy?

Personally, we have found it mainly works on CANBUS CS and UDS based systems, with a working key.
What exactly does "ID48" mean? How do I know if my car uses an "ID48" transponder? Is there list of cars that uses this transponder?
Yes, it is. Replay and i send you list of cars
I have a 2001 Audi TT

Why didn’t you use the add key function? Looking to buy the xp400 set up for my autel
You can use ADD KEY function, we were just demonstrating this feature on Autel.
Makes no sense to use clone 48, because then you still have to do remote learning separately or using vcds.. Add key, simple, job done
Can this be done with passat b6 ?
Hi will this work on fiat 500x which has a Megamos id48 chip also. Thanks
❤❤❤Thank you for the info
which key type did u use was it xhorse? greta vid btw thanks
Hi, it was an X-Horse wired remote with an ID48 glass chip.
Hi how did u match the key in the ignition barrel
Get the key cut
Was I'd c4 number original or new key I'd? Love you from India
Any idea if i cant read the immo data
Hi did you use a super chip or regular glass 48 chip in the new key?
Hi, we used an original ID48 glass chip
Hi, can it be done with an xhorse super chip?
And the dealer generated on the chip or the remote?
Hi, we would recommend using a genuine glass ID48 chip but you can use a X-Horse chip if you first generate it as an ID48.
sir, please educate me -- MY2015 VW Polo 6R -- came with one flip key and one normal key.

Yes to all!
The new keys Will turn ignition on, But you have to program the new remotes also
I didn't know IM can copy 48.
really this quick? I have waited 1.5hour by vvdi2 last week.
Yes, however only seem to have it work on Canbus CS and UDS systems.
This works with mqb chips?
No

Clock reset for some reason LOL VAGs are like that.
Xhorse have improve id48 cloning to the point where it only takes a couple of minutes now.
Can you make the music louder 😂
This is not cloning, this is make new key on old place!!!
Yes, that's right. This is not cloning.
Does this mean the original working key can no more be used and only the working now it the new key?

This is the worst thing about Chinese tools, just call the original the 'old' key,and the one to be programmed the 'new' key!!
If Autel would polish the information and prompts, it would make life a little simpler but they refuse.
