I'm trying to learn this deck. Do you think Yubel, Branded, or Tearlament is better? I only have enough UR to build one deck but which deck can hold it's own in ranked ...
Shout out to that one dude in chat around 2:00:00 saying just go to M2 right away against Yubel to avoid punching yourself. Why didn't we all think of that. Anyways, enter battle and start forcing you to punch yourself in the face.

@@Pokerbrosmtt I would say whichever one you feel can handle the other meta decks going first or second while not losing to Maxx c . Also I try to go with a deck that’s more consistent at doing what it does best since it’s a best of one . but learn them all regardless before you pick
Good vod as allways Josh! I have a suggestion of a card or cards to add to your paleo deck! Big burn, if you can resolve it, I've had a bunch of matches where my opponent (snake-eyes) has had to banish all of his monsters in the graveyard and then scoop afterwards... 🤣 It's hilarious when all monsters go bye bye! 🤣

@@Pokerbrosmtt Paleo is more of a fun deck to play, I would argue that, if you want to go for competitive decks in MD, go for either Branded or Yubel, Tear is fine aswell I guess, but It's very reliant om gamba mills! 😊
Fire sorcerer can be used with the mimighouls to make your opponent go -2, pretty consistently as well, if they get a card that loops flip effect from GY this deck might need to get hit with the ban hammer, it really isn’t that fun to play against sadly 😢
3:44:08 why do we still have anemone we dont have any waters outside of the paleo xyz's and the 1 link do we really need it for that? Over link kuribo?
Zealantis probably, also technically all paleo trap are water. But ye anemone into zealantis to banish entire field is always a pretty good move to have
This Deck tilts me to the point, i just ff as soon as i see someone playing one of these bs monsters dude wtf... like i end up with 2 omni negates, 2 handtraps, 2 more monster effect negates and a trap set... And they can just brute force straight right thru that. sure. fun game :)
Now that you've played Yubel can you see any real reason why Yubel wasn't considered a tier 1 deck before Phantom of Yubel? During a tier 0 format you look at decks that have good win rate against Snake-Eyes. However you can really only compare it to tier 1 and below when considering whether a deck is tier 1, 1.5, 2, or rouge. When tier 0 formats come around I think people see decks like Yubel and they are completely blind to not see how good it is. Rage into S:P, Super Polymerization, and Valdrath are all a little to good to not be tier 1 especially with lines that play around Nibiru.
Phantom of Yubel is so central to everything the deck could hope to accomplish, providing multiple extra negation bodies from out of the ether that also facilitate a number of extra anti-Nib/anti-handtrap in general lines and help break boards. Also keep in mind that Josh was playing MD Yubel here where Valdrath/Varudras still isn’t a thing.
@@Dylligraphy Yeah I know and people know it isn't that far away from Snake-Eyes so much so that people were suggesting banning Yama in exchange for unlimiting Shavara if Flamberge is banned. But now that Yama is announced for the tins they can't do that. I wouldn't ever suggest that Phantom of Yubel get banned because its a good card but without it the deck is barely playable above a rogue level and for a deck like Branded to be a tier 1 deck as long as it has been it would only be fair that if Yama is eventually banned in exchange for Shavaras' unlimit that Phantom of Yubel is left alone. If anyone disagrees because of Apallousa my comment was in hopes that they ban Apallousa and Beatrice to future proof the game and allow the Fiendsmith engine and Phantom of Yubel to be somewhat healthy existences. If they to limit Nightmare throne to keep it out of most other decks then so be it. But it is to important to Yubels' validity as a good to be banned or limited. Without Apallousa, Beatrice, and easy access to Rage what it makes is on par with Voiceless with the exception of Super Polymerization. Which more often than not isn't searchable because people don't like running the extra brick to search it so Super Poly is broken but its fine.
I feel like its so rare that you would need Unchained Abomination that a 2nd Yubel Defender Forever is better and you technically want a monster on your opponents field so you can deal damage with Nightmare Pain. Some people will sometimes use Ravenous Tarantula to make it easier to close games when you lose Nightmare Pain. I think your deck is pretty good though. Just thought the constructive criticism might help. You can probably afford to cut 1 Spirit Gates or 1 of its searcher to play another copy of Prosperity or the Prison you were missing when you swapped it out for the other trap.
@@asole100 Oh in Master Duel its at 1. I actually didn't know that. In the TCG its at 3. TCG rules are generally whats available on Dueling Nexus and its more accessible to me than Master Duel so I guess I haven't been the most up to date on Master Duel.
3:03:20 average 60 cards Branded opening
Last card was grass
only works for opponent
