Time signature is 7. Look up the Indian Tabla Taal called Rupak. Many legendary songs are on this time signature.
Technically speaking, the first song is in Taal Deepchandi which is a cycle of 14 beats. Nevertheless this time signature is just beautiful to experience.
I was actually present in that concert in the 5th row, and have the recordings on my phone. Trust me, the real experience was way better, this engineered video is a notch below how the singers sounded in real time.
Every year on World Music Day, this musician duo hold a concert in Kolkata with multiple artists. That year I went for Shubha Mudgal, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Hariharan and Papon, who are my favorites, though there were other good artists as well. Very hard to get tickets every year, they're sold out pretty fast. Every year they have a theme, that year (2022) it was Lata Mangeshkar, because she had just passed away and they wanted to pay tribute to her.
The set felt magical to witness, it was so beautifully done. There were pictures of artists from all over the world and musical instruments and chandeliers and other paraphernalia.
Also this duo reproduce other artists' work on their channel. In this song, the chorus was actually another Lata song, Allah Tero Naam. Hariharan sang the Lata song, O Sajna, with a small sitar section of Norwegian Wood in between. And Papon is even better to listen to in person, such a baritone. It was an experience for a music lover like me.
Also, the singer Soumyojit is a great singer himself.
And finally, I hope you check out Manna Dey, the most technically proficient singer of yesteryears.
P.S. - Wanted to say this for a long time, but Kishore Kumar's name is pronounced as Kishore, as in shore, not show-ray.
Its a 7 beat cycle with emphasis on 1st, 4th, and 6th beat. It can be thought of three subdivisions split unequally as 3 beats, 2 beats, and 2 beats.

Ab Ke Sawan, Dere Dere, Hai Pyar To Musafir, Bairie Chain, Seekho Na etc. are all amazing. They are all from her album also called "Ab Ke Sawan".
The whole album is amazing imo and since you guys like fusion in indian music, that should be right up your alley.

First time to Pandit Bhimsen Joshiji
In 2002, Shubha Mudgal came for the inauguration of a PlanetM store in Jayanagar, Bangalore. I was in my first year of graduation and went there with my friend. They held a random quiz contest for people there and I won that.
She gave me a Casettette of English love songs titled Must have been love.
Totally random event in my life nearly 22 years back and still makes me smile thinking about it.
P.S : I still have that casette.
