HEY. I’m back with another breakfast video. Today’s theme: quick and easy overnight breakfast recipes. They’re ranging from super lazy to fairly low effort! Blended Chocolate Chia Puddings, My New Favorite Sandwich, Savory Pancakes, Spicy Spinach and Homemade “Oat Butter”. Happy cooking!!

INGREDIENTS & NOTES
#1 Blended Chocolate Chia Pudding 0:28
⅓ cup chia seeds (60g)
2 tbsp peanut butter
4-5 soft dates (i used deglet noor, if using medjool 2-3 are enough)
pinch of salt
1 tsp vanilla, or a few drops vanilla aroma
1 ½ tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
optional: 1 tbsp vanilla/choc protein powder
1 ¼ cup non dairy milk (300ml)
topping ideas: berries, walnuts, choc chips, granola…
→ yields 2 puddings (each ramekin holds about ¾ cup = 180ml volume)
#2 Overnight Baghrir 1:37
80ml hot water (1/3 cup)
80ml cold water (1/3 cup)
1 tsp agave/sugar
2/3 tsp dry active yeast
80g all purpose flour(2/3 cup)
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 tsp baking powder
enough oil to lightly brush the non-stick pan
topping ideas: hummus, tomato, basil, parsley, sesame seeds
→ yields 2-3 large pancakes or 5-7 small ones
#3 Tiktok Oat Butter 3:41
1 cup oats (90g)
1/2 cup cashews (90g)
3 tbsp vegan butter
1/4 cup agave or maple syrup (~80g/60ml) (add 1 more tsp if u like it sweeter)
generous pinch of salt
dash of cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla, or a few drops vanilla aroma
1/4 cup water (60ml), another splash if needed
serve with: yogurt/granola/fruit bowl, on toast w banana, with apple slices, pancakes…. (tastes super nice on the baghrir as well!)
keep in jar in fridge sealed for up to a week

#4 New Fave Sandwich 5:00
1-2 medium aubergines (eggplants)
1 tbsp oil
salt, pepper, harissa to taste
sauce:
2 tbsp vegan mayonnaise
1 tsp tahini
1 tsp white wine vinegar
salt, pepper, spices of choice (to taste)
1 baguette-esque bread or bread of choice
#5 Spicy Spinach Mix 6:31
1 small onion
1-2 cloves garlic
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp agave
1 tbsp white wine vinegar
1 tsp gochujang (or to taste! spicy)
¼ cup water (60ml)
200g-250g spinach (7 - 8.8oz)
→ onion, garlic can ofc also just be chopped finely if u don’t have blender!
→ serve w leftover grains, or in a sandwich, wrap etc!
→ 2 servings

If you like kulfi or mango lassi, blend your chia with the following: mango pulp, a dollop of non-dairy yogurt, a pinch of bloomed saffron, a tsp jaggery, half a pod of cardamom, a das of vanilla and a dash of rose water

Best coffee in Vienna is Alt Wien. The roast is in Schleifmühlgasse 23 but there are a lot of coffee houses serving Alt Wien coffee beans. Best vegan food in Vienna: Swing Kitchen (several in town), lunch at Maran (Stumpergasse), Harvest (Karmeliterplatz 1), japanese at Maris Metcha Matcha (Neustiftgasse 7), best icecream at Veganista - next to Maris or several at town, Pepper & Ginni in Ballgasse 5 is a fantastic all vegan deli and our vegan Pub Rupps in Arbeitergasse - enjoy your Trip

Some cute cafés in Vienna: Café Caspar, Vox Libri (also sells books; usually has vegan cake options), Vollpension (hires elderly people & has very unique, grandma-esque interior)

I don't really remember cafes, but you gotta try Veganista ice cream in Vienna! One of the best vegan ice cream I ever had and they have some really cool flavours. Also Pizzis and Cream, their pizza was so good (I've been there in summer 2022, but I hope they haven't changed much) These two really stuck with me :)
The Paris intro 💕💕💕
In Vienna you have to go to Vevi! There are two restaurants and they are an all vegan Vietnamese food restaurant! So delicious and good value. We also love Budapest Bagels which isn't fully vegan but does the most delicious filled bagels - vegan BLT bagel or avocado walnut. So delicious.
I love love the cafe Die Markthummel in the 18th district it is quite small but serves lovely coffee and homemade cakes. On Wednesdays they serve vegan lunch 🐝
My favourite coffee place in Vienna is No Panic Coffee, I usually go every time I visit the city. Jonas Reindl Coffeeroasters is really good too. I had great coffee at Budapest Bagel as well (and they have vegan options for the bagel, also delicious).
Omas Backstube ist richtig toll. Alles vegan und richtig tolle Kuchen und Torten.
if you want to make a version of those pancakes that are low carb and higher in protein, you can basically make a simpler version of indian dosa, by blending soaked lentils and water for the batter
Das kleine Wiener Café ist so so so ein schönes cozy Café mit wirklich gutem Kaffee und (als ich dort war) zwei verschiedenen veganen Frühstücksoptionen. Der Wrap war mega. Und der Inhaber war auch extrem nett und zuvorkommend. Wir waren in einer Woche bestimmt drei mal da. Der Vibe generell dort ist auch echt so angenehm und lieb!!! Ansonsten Velani!!! Ein komplett veganes Restaurant mit traditionell österreichischer Küche also z.B. Gulasch und Spätzle etc. Es war ein Traaaaaum
Vienna: Highly recommend visiting Naturkost St. Josef in the 7th district. It's a bioladen and restaurant and the food is so so delish and affordable! Not everything is vegan, but they usually have vegan options when I've been there.
Love the blended chia pudding! I didn’t add cocoa powder since I didn’t have any but it was delicious. Topped it off with some frozen blueberries and chopped chocolate. Perfect texture! Thanks for sharing!
Yeayy I live in Vienna... You should go to Momens it´s a quite new Vegetarian and Vegan Place almost Bistro like. Vegan Meran is also very cute also very Bistro like and Neni at Naschmarkt has the best Humus. While your in the fourth there is a very cute and cozy Café were all the cooks and bakers are Grandmas and Grandpas it´s called Vollpension. They have things like Vegan Buchteln which are amazing.
For Cafés just keep yourself in the seventh and eight district and you´ll find something. I always love Das Liebling, Siebenstern, Café Camus, Kafka, Phill.
If you want the classic Viennese Kaffeehaus feel you should go to Café Eiles. They also have plenty of vegan options. Don´t bother to go to Café Central it´s highly overrated and super expensive.

HIGHLY recommend Barista Cats (it's a cat-café with 4 wonderful cats to pet 🥹), also cafe Hildebrandt has such a nice vibe (besides the food & coffee being awesome!)

Omg Mina all of these recipes look AMAZING! Especially the blended chia - YUM! And love the abstract pancake shapes 😂 in general I feel like these were so SPECIAL not just the usual stuff u always see in breakfast videos. Especially love how you included so many savoury options! Will certainly try the oat granola butter, genius move! But I think I’ll try to think of a way how I can exclude the liquid to make it shelf stable…

coffee+: *Das Hildebrandt* (a little fancy, inside the Volkskundemuseum, really nice to have breakfast here, beaautiful ambience), *Secret Garden Café* (in the Raimundhof, very beautiful sourrounding, close to the big shopping street Mariahilferstr, very very nice and nutritious foods)

how much do you spend on food/groceries in a month? I feel like a lot of people dont cook with fresh ingredients because they think its very expensive + it's still an argument against going vegan so if you're open about it I would be verrry interested

Not a cafe in general, but I can really recommend Tolstoy near Karlsplatz/ TU Wien! Also Ullmann's and Balthasar in the 2nd district have nice coffee options (and cakes) as well

vienna recommendations: das phil (book cafe with old cinema seats and couches, very cozy), la mercerie (french style bakery), grey kaffee (for the viral pistachio croissant) or a typical coffeehouse, old-fashioned (for example cafe kafka is very nice)

Ich kanns Velani (österreichische Hausmannskost 100% vegan), Vevi, Kaoo (super gutes veganes sushi), Peter Pan, LeBurger und Swingkitchen empfehlen. Die beste Pizza bekommst bei Pizzis&cream. Und es gibt ein voll cutes 'Katzenkaffee' wo Katzen frei rumlaufen... :D
Und die neundreiviertel Bar ist auch super.

Highly recommend checking out a café called Calienna. It’s a plant café super nice, loved it there. Also can recommend Sous-bois, it’s a French café with vegan options, super sweet loved the vibe. And also café comet, I think they’re also coffee roasters, super cute and comfy vibes, was best for drinking my oat cappuccino and reading a book.

another place you could try out is Juice factory, they have nice smoothies and stuff (but i’m not sure if any of their sandwiches have vegan options)

Overnight Baghrir.The Arabic name is Qatayef. We eat it in Ramadan. The filling is with nuts. It is fried in oil. It's more delicious.

Schön dass du nach Wien kommst Liebe Mina! Ich empfehle Kaffee bei Pane è Cafe. Ein lustiger try out ist das Festerkaffee- dort hab ich damals meinen ersten cold brew probiert :). Café Exchange bietet faire Leckereien zu günstigen Preisen in einer ehemaligen Post mitten in Wien.
