Great question Chris, I asked them the exact same question, they said that it only works when you generate a map in manual mode, I think there is something in their backend only coded to do so with the manual mode vs real time mode. I will check with them but I believe this is something they will be working on soon.
Thanks for your quick response! I have sent sales an email. Turns out the free version is limited, with their logo, and no pricing structures in between, only Enterprise pricing. Enjoy your weekend!
Thanks for the info and I am glad you talked to them about it, the company and their teams are pretty good people, hopefully you can work something out. Thank you for your time.

I am learning game development with Oculus Quest 2. Now that Quest 3 is out, should I switch to Quest 3 for my VR development? Is it worth switching to Quest 3 for VR development?
For VR development I would stay with a Quest 2 unless you really need the color passthrough & better performance given by the processor included with a Quest 3, but if you are learning I say a Quest 2 is more than enough :) have fun !
Hello, great question! Yes this is exactly what this is for and they are the best at it. Is made exactly for mapping spaces indoor and outdoor. Let me know if you have additional questions.
Hey thanks for your comment. For the navigation part I used Immersal GitHub example located here: github.com/immersal/immersal-sdk-samples/tree/master/Assets/ImmersalSDK/Samples/Scripts/Navigation that code is using their previous version of the SDK but with some work you could upgraded to use the latest SDK version.
Hi there! I am currently new to AR dev and trying to choose a framework for stuff like in your video and for now I have chosen the Vuforia and I would know which in you opinion would be better Vuforia or Immersal?
Hey thanks for your comment and welcome! Vuforia and Immersal are AR tools that are for different use cases. You could compare Vuforia with AR Foundation where we can say Vuforia has what AR Foundation provides but with more features. Vuforia gives you the power of AR core tools just like AR Foundation does. Immersal in the other hand provides you mapping capabilities that sits on top of what AR Foundation offers, so it extends it but it doesn’t override it. Immersal allows you to map the real world and it uses their localization algorithms to accurately position digital objects from the saved mapped areas into the real world. Hopefully that explains it, let me know if you have other questions.
Hey thanks for your feedback! I will do a detailed UA-cam video very soon about it. For now, the indoor navigation demo I showed in this video can be found here: github.com/immersal/immersal-sdk-samples/tree/master/Assets/ImmersalSDK/Samples/Scripts but I believe it has not been updated to use the latest version of Immersal, it still works with the older SDK.
Looks like they are working with PICO on providing support, they can’t say which PICO device will support it yet but once they announce it we will know. Great question!
Hey Jeff great question and thanks for your feedback on this video. I recommend looking at this url as it provides better information about licensing: immersal.gitbook.io/sdk/about/pricing If you have additional questions let me know.
Thanks for your comment, and Yes this is using AR Foundation behind the scenes and I added a AR Occlusion Manager which uses your phone capabilities for occlusion, just like you said.
My understanding is that Vuforia doesn’t support Meta Quest devices, this is due to access to the camera. I know people have tried various hacks but officially I couldn’t find any support from their website. Good question !
@@dilmerv ohh ! Thank you I am currently doing a project on "Virtual Assistant of Product details" . I almost finished with the help of vuforia. But my final output can run only in VR headset Meta Quest 3. Now what can I do?. Please give some idea
Hey there and thank you for your comment. I would suggest to test it out again, specially by using the realtime capabilities which are fairly new and very powerful.
Hi there, After placing diamonds, is there any way that we can remove those point clouds so that only diamonds can be visible not those green dots( point clouds) ?
You can set the render mode to editor only under the AR Map Visualizer options. That will make sure to only render them within the Unity editor and not upon deployment. Great question!
