If you replace the back cover of your HP with one of the plastic dividers, your planner *should* fit in the back TN pocket. I saw this done on another video, whose title has escaped me but I'll link it if I can find it again. I have a Standard size tn by Webster's Pages and that other video was a complete revelation to me! I would've never thought to do this and think I've finally found peace, at least when it comes to covers!
Hello Ms. Quita! I love what you've done! So I have been working for months on making my own leather A5 TN because I needed the 2: a discbound notebook and a TN and I wanted them together. I have loved using Happy Planners/discs and I've been doing tons of DIYs for some time now and I am honest with myself in the fact that I need to have them because I always want to change things around, and you can't really do that with any other type of binding. BUT...I also love traveler's notebooks. I love being able to have multiple notebooks inside of one, and being able to do DIYs for those as well. I spent time looking on etsy and I couldn't find anything that would work exactly for me. What I am using currently is an A5 discbound notebook made from scratch, and an A5 TN (and an A6 TN but we won't get into that, ha ha). I've been creating my own TNs for a while now, but I realized I'd have to have a leather one to hold both the types of notebooks. I have bought my own veg tan leather, dyed it, and cut it to be EXTRA wide. To prevent wear on the elastics, I am going to put my discbound in the back right pocket and I could also put a perfect bound (like a hobonichi) in the left pocket, depending on how many TN inserts I use. I realized to put it all together, the biggest size ring I could fit inside were the HP mini discs. But I'm still tweaking and adjusting as I haven't finished the pockets yet. I'm so happy to see other planner ladies wanting to merge the two: that means more DIY videos for me to watch!
I am trying to duplicate what you did. I have a B6 as well and I threaded it like you did as well. Are you using Classic size rings and how many other inserts do you have in there with it? Mine seems really bulky and the mini front and back hard plastic covers are poking out.

You can get those square pen loops at Staples in packs of 3 in pretty colors. I don’t remember how much I paid for them but, I don’t think they were expensive.

I usually love your videos, but I feel like your decorating has gotten out of hands. It seems too much. But that’s just my opinion. I like decorating, but it can’t overwhelm the function of the planner

I have my mini in a TN cover too and the strings were making me crazy, just looped them through the rings and it's so much better, thank you!!
