    Wonder if it's possible to fabricate a VR38DETT in a G35x? It's already set up for AWD. They use the same ATESA AWD system. The GTR has an upgraded version though with LSD Diff. You can get used ones for around 12gs USD. Or you could always throw a LS3 in it? Don't get me wrong I love the VQ engine. But you can get those VR38DETTs over 1000hp easy. Or the LS swap, get a lot of torque for cheap. Could even boost it. They all would cost about the same to swap. Question is how much fab work is required?

    Also if your alignment is fine and you have no tire wear. All you have to do is brake loose the nut on your tie rods. It'll loosen the steering wheel up. Straighten it to dead center and then tighten the nuts. Then your steering wheel will be straight again. Then ppl can stop crying. It didn't bother me by the way, just letting you know a quick way to fix it. Takes 15 minutes if that.

    • @nitish21

      Front drive with a 1000 hp, that'd be crazy torque steer unless your running the s2000. Doesn't sound fun. There is an Acura TL pushing 700 hp and it had trouble putting the power down.

    • @midnight347
      @midnight347 3 роки тому

      They can make alot of power for cheap but the question is how reliable is it? How long is it gonna run like that...if you take it out and beat on it and run it against people how long are you gonna make big power on this Honda and how well is the cheapo ebay turbo gonna last? If you want something that is not only gonna make big power but have a real nice powerband as well and be reliable for you while beating the shit out of it for years to come you're gonna have to spend some money regaurdless of platform. Some cars can do it easier and cheaper than others but they all need some money dumped into them to have a fast reliable setup with a nice powerband. Some of these big turbo Hondas with big power have a power curve that looks like a steep mountain lol. It goes straight up and all the power is up top literally with nothing down low and lag for days. That dont matter if you're just racing but if it's a street car the overall powerband is very important imo.

    Also, as far as boosting the de for around 350-400hp range, lower boost etc. would you recommend twins or single? I’d like to get low end power right away and a steady climb and not all power on top end. I don’t want to fully build my motor and want to make power reliably while also keeping the reliability of the engine itself

    • @nitish21
      @nitish21  4 роки тому

      Early torque can kill a stock block vq very quickly. Power in the top end is actually safer. But you can have quick spooling new age twins to get good low end power. I would say the single turbo kit from @boostedperformanceyeg on IG. That kit has a good size Comp turbo which will spool very quick but still provide good top end an over fantastic kit

    I was re-watching this vid and noticed you mentioned you used HR headers for the DE with the HR manifold for the turbo kit.
    I was watching a different video from another channel on longtube header installation and I remember the dude tried DE headers on the HR but it actually lost a lot of low end torque so he planned on going back to HR style. I'm assuming it's a similar principle for installing HR headers on DE due to primary tube diameters being a tad too big. Not sure if things change when boosted since there will be a jump in flow and maybe the bigger sized piping can help but I know bigger isn't always better.
    This probably exacerbated your lack of low-end torque when you went with the big cams.
    Also I have a question, is there any reasonable way to keep longtubes but still incorporate a turbo kit? I would like to attempt this but that would most likely force me into a rear mounted setup. With a single exit, I'll have all the space I need on passenger exhaust side for turbo piping since the longtubes will take most of the space up front.

    So make it 15k

    Well you're comparing a almost 30 year old engine design to like a 18 year old engine obviously the VQ gonna have a better power band as technology advances. The 2jzgte is already a proven motor that can handle 800whp on stock internal. 2jz loves the peak power band and high rpm its more suited for drag racing or drifting, street not so much. VQ on the other hand was originally NA so that's why the power band is more street friendly, look at the 2jzge their power band is more earlier then the gte. But not hating on the VQ they're still both great engine and personal preference, both still expensive to build/swap.
