Love love love your videos. Thank you for working so hard for us all!!! I would like some advice. I am looking into buying a light box...not nearly as big as yours. I am somewhat of a beginner and don't take on such large projects...yet! So, I am wondering if you have or know of a particular company that produces a quality product, yet doesn't cost both my arm and my leg. Thanks!!!
Excellent tutorial series you have going here. I'm just about to start my first window and am happy I've found you to sub too. One question I have is how you treat the glass where you have the thicker lines? Does all lead came have the same size heart to it? Do you keep to the very inside of all the lines regardless of how thick the pattern line is? Is there lead with thicker hearts you use with the much thicker pattern lines? Sorry if you have covered this in the video, or another video all together, and I missed it.
+Shaun Mccaughan hi! So happy you found us! We can answer these questions as the next live stream on Feb 21st at 7 pm. If you miss the live show you can watch the rerun at any time. Good luck! Great Questions!
my cutter doesnt make that sound,it is scoring but very quiet which makes me feel like i haven't scored it right , can you plz adv as to why its so quiet and am i doing something wrong, i do not put oil in my cutter btw but i do keep it in a jar when im not using it and it is not leaving oil streaks on my glass. thank you for what you do i have learned so much because of you both.
I recently retired and would love to get into the art of leaded windows but I’m held back by the cost of the glass. Any tips on how to obtain cheap glass?
You could periodically check Facebook Marketplace or other online resources like Craigslist for folks who are selling their stained glass supplies and glass - cheap. Here in NC I’ve seen several businesses and home SG enthusiasts unload their entire stock of glass, tools & supplies.
Oh wow! Love this! Thanks so much for sharing! Especially talking through your process.
Glad you liked it and thank you for watching!
I hope you show the painting of the wren and heron!!! Great tutorial on cutting on the light box. Those bumps give texture and life to your piece.

Thanks for watching. The sound of your cutter tells you the density of the glass. Keep the same pressure throughout your cut. Thanks for watching!
If your doing copper foil along with lead inside the window do you lead the foiled pieces? And what about the putty and the foiled pieces?

I do not understand why professional people have number their pieces
You are professional man
You know which piece goes where
When there are over 3000 pieces they have to be numbered. Otherwise it would take forever to assemble. Thanks for watching!
