Hijacking was result of our Negligence, we had Intel at that time in Kathmandu and proper report was submitted to a senior official in embassy who was also a R&AW man regarding what can happen but he neglected by saying this ain't happening AND unfortunately the senior official in the embassy was also on the same flight that was hijacked.

The army was always seeking revenge since the 2001 parliament attack but at that time also govt denied to do something and as a result Op Parakram was launched leading to a War Scenario.

S.B.S Tomar RAW station chief in Nepal was warned about notorious 1999 hijacking of Indian Airlines Flight IC 814 , but he ignored the tip which was not passed to R&AW Headquarters . Tomar then travelled on flights days later when it was hijacked . Imagine how AS dulat was made RAW chief and IB officer who has no experience of RAW Operations, During his tenure India has been attacked like anything.
