2021 First of the Year Birding Challenge

- Join us on our annual first of the year trip where we look for as many species as possible in one day in the state of Wisconsin. This year we're after a Spotted Towhee and a California Gull in addition to high numbers. With changing weather conditions will we be able to beat our previous record of 51 birds?

Nice. You get some pretty cool bird up there. Never knew that there were so many gulls up there. I hit 147 on day one down here in California, but I would love to have some of the birds you had up there.
Congrats on 147! That’s a great day. I think we found every expected gull you can find here in the winter. In the summer we also get Bonaparte’s regularly and occasionally Sabine’s, Laughing, Franklin’s and Little.

That's such a good feeling to start a new year with all day birding. I had my own Big Day birding here in Florida, but I think the weather was little better 🌞 and temps.., yeah..80F 😂. Great birding video, keep it up!👌👍

@@BadgerlandBirding Doing a Big Day in Florida has definitely some weather advantages, but a good thing about birding is that you can bird anywhere, any time, and any kind of weather, our feathered friends are everywhere 🙂

7:47 are you guys sure that is an icaland gull, because iceland gulls have white wingtips like glaucous gulls. I like the way you make the birding vids guys, keep it up!
