@@wmx99 Further investigation and work found that you don't even need to mess with the config file. As long as your VM has > 2047MB RAM (as stated in the conf file), it will pass verification as long as you're running it in a VMWare-based product. My steps now are to just extract the Upgrade ISO and use cdrtools frontend as you did in this video. Booting fine with latest 12.5(1)SU2 and VMWare Workstation 15.5.2. Thanks again for pointing me toward the cdrtools frontend. I was not having good luck with the command-line version I found.

Thanks Al! I probably should have posted it sooner but had two more requests the last few days for the .BIF file from my other videos so I think your method people are going to really appreciate! :) Thanks again!
i do not see how to go around hardware. under cisco/config/install nothing label callmanager and i checked under all files nothing referencing cd-rom. i have over 2047mem and i get cd rom check failure. it does boot now. Cisco MediaSense v11.5. any ideas

Hi K-Chanel, I purchased these through a Cisco Partner so it is illegal for me to do so. I do provide access to my home lab free of charge if you don't have a way to get hands-on experience: voiptek.info/freelab-beta/
I'm using tools smithii.com/files/cdrtools-latest.zip. Extract cucm ISO to folder (win 10 can this native). And D:\mkiso\mkisofs.exe -A "CDROM" -V "CDROM" -p "Cisco" -J -R -r -v -T -b isolinux/isolinux.bin -c isolinux/boot.cat -no-emul-boot -boot-load-size 4 -boot-info-table -o D:/Bootable_UCSInstall_UCOS_11.5.sgn.iso .
Very cool, thanks Timur! I'll pin this so others can quickly see this option as well!
wanted to use that method, but couldn't get a hold of mkisofs from any repository and dont know how to use genisoimage yet
Great video, I always appreciate people who post videos and share knowledge. Thanks!
Thanks! Nice screen name! :)
OMG, @4:18 I had been looking on how to override the hardware requirements forever, this did the trick even with the latest 12.5, thank you!
Awesome! Glad this was helpful for you and thanks for the verification on 12.5

Sir,thanks a lot for the video l. It worked for me. Is there anyway i can alter the memory size limit for uccx. I am running out of memory.
Also, ISO can easily be renamed to RAR...
filename.ISO = filename.RAR and now you can view all files via a RAR program. Plenty of free RAR programs
Nice! Thanks for sharing the info Rikard!
