hi sal thanks for the amazing explanation. is there a limit on the number of participants that it can support natively? does it rely on hardware dsp to support more number of participants?
Hey CiscoSal, I've got a little question. Does a Cisco 2811 need a server, if so is there anyway for to be setup without one. I want to get a CUCM or CUCME with a GUI like the CUCM does without having to buy servers and lots of things for that router as this is for a small home lab network.
You can run CME (Call manager express) on the 2800, 2900, and ISR4k Routers. The 2800 router is extremely old. The 2900 is newer then the 2800 but also old. If you are going to do CME I would try to do it on the latest router you can. There is a GUI for CME... I have not spent much time in it so cant comment how good/bad it is.
@@yarusemi you will have t do some cli config to get into it. Check out www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/admin/configuration/manual/cmeadm/cmegui.html
Hi Sal, how are you ?? didn't have an option to see who is attending the meeting, right?? it'll be a good idea to the next release hehehe. Thanks for this simple and efficient demonstration.
Hi Sal, It's very nice and simple. Can we make conference if the people calling from different locations like 1 from india other one from dubai. When they call to their local number from outside can the make conference bridge. Thanks in advance.
Cisco Sal ok, thank you. Yea, I might be buying one becuase my CUCME is on rommon and now is bricked. I accidentally deleted the start up files and that happened.
I appreciate this video. The video conference is not working. I believe it requires external MCU Hardware. Only the Audio conference is working. However, I set up this on CUCM version 10.5.2. Audio conference still works on that version.I think the major difference is that version 11 provides the option to dial in the meeting using the IVR directory no.The host can still call the numbers he/she wants to conference by pressing the conference button on cisco unified phone
This is for audio ONLY. No video. CUCM does not have enough horsepower to conference video streams. You will want to look at either our new on premise video bridge - Collaboration Meeting Server(CMS) or our Cloud Bridge - Spark Collaboration meeting rooms (CMR) for video bridging.
Thank you, Cisco sal. Can you send me the links? What of virtualized TelePresence server in conjunction with TelePresence conductors can provide video streams without the Internet. Spark cloud collaboration room requires Internet, right? Send me the links how to register expressway c and e(hybrid services) to the spark cloud.
Do you know who your Cisco AM or SE is? They can help you with all of this. CMS is the new version of TelePresence Server and Conductor. If you want to go to Spark CMR then yes you would need internet as the bridging would be done in Cisco's datacenter.
Thank you for the video, it is really very simple and clear
Thank you....very good video...
Thanks for the video! Nicely done!
Thanks Sal, very useful! Did you notice that the menu setting for the MOH in the Conference Now configuration is not applied?
Gracias!

Cisco Sal thank you! You saved me hours of code!
very clear, thanks
Hello. By default, is it using the media resource group or list of the host's from the device pool?

We route meetme through contact center script which requires pin.

Do you have Communications Manager version 11? This will only work starting in that version.
+Cisco Sal Hi, thank you for your replay, I have System version: 10.5.1.10000-7
+Cisco Sal And another question please, the feature "Meetme conferences" works on Version 10?
+Ahmed lotfi Benghabrit
Yes Meet-me works in version 10, but for the conference now feature you need to be on 11.
Thanks!
+Cisco Sal you have a list of functionality that works on version 11 and not working on version 10?
Does all of the CUCM have that web interface?
Pretty much. The last change was from version 4.x to 5.x. That was around 2006. Since 5.x it's been the same look.
Cisco Sal ok, thank you. Yea, I might be buying one becuase my CUCME is on rommon and now is bricked. I accidentally deleted the start up files and that happened.
does it support multiparty video call ? the voice response keeps saying invalid meeting no
