I think I said this before but I have never seen Simon looking so intense. She doesn't need AGT to get where she is going. World class. Out of this universe!!! I have watched her for years. FINALLY ! The world knows what we knew years ago. The whole point of AGT is to find a talent that can sell out tickets to a 2 hour show. Angelina is the "it" ! Goosebumps and tears guaranteed. World class.
She arranges and picks the songs she sings. She has been doing that since she was 8-9 years old. Just wait until you hear songs that show-off her lower range. You must watch her first audition song to get into Norway's Got Talent she sings,'I'm A Fool To Want You' . She sings it acappella, without a start note or a pitch pipe to start her off. Yet she never goes out of tune or loses the timing of the song. She was 7 at the time of the audition. She won the whole competition after she turned 8 years old. She just turned 14 on the 10th of January. She has a gift for singing the song directly into each persons heart. There are many very good young singers out there, very few can sing you into the song like she can. I want you to listen to that first audition song because it gets overlooked. She shouldn't even be able to sing that song let alone pack it with the emotional charge that she does. If she had never sung another note, that song alone would be worth listening to over and over again. Very savvy choice of song for AGT appearance, taking a classic everybody knows and turning it into a love ballad! She has been gifted with a superb instrument and an innate knowledge of the emotional truth of music. God guide her past the rocky cliffs of the musical canyons to her pinnacle of performing vocal miracles.

She has been performing all her short life, in charity concerts, all around the world and for notable organizations and people; she is just not well known in the U.S., but she is now! She was 13 when they recorded AGT - the Champions and is 14 years old today. She entered Norway's Got Talent at age 7 and won it at age 8 with unbelievably perfect songs. She’s barefoot because when she was a few years younger, she was traveling in Asia and saw a little girl selling wares in the rain. The little girl was barefoot and was admiring Angelina’s shoes. In a heartfelt gesture she gave the little girl her shoes. Ever since then, when she sings onstage she appears barefoot to commemorate the little girl and by extension, the thousands of children worldwide who go barefoot due to poverty. She’s a good kid in addition to sounding like a cross between Amy Winehouse and Billie Holliday. Marvelously talented!

Ulyses, absolutely true. She is a musical spice. You start to appreciate musical genre, artists and genres after listening to Angelina. I have listened a lot to Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, Amy after listening to her covers. When I listen to a nice melody on the radio I wonder how it would sound if Angelina did it, and several cases that has actually happened some months later, like songs from Chris Isak, Adele, Queen and Whitney.

Usually I'm not a fan of singers doing too many vocals runs in their performances, but they only have a short time to make an impression on the judges in these talent shows, so I totally understand why she did it here. VERY impressive display of talent here...no wonder she got the golden buzzer. My wife and I used to watch AGT when we had cable...there was some pretty good acts on that show...quite entertaining actually. Never heard her do that many, that long, runs. She's much appreciated by her fans for not drowning every song in them, but she's very intelligent and knows what is needed. I don't even think they are what sold it to the audience, but I guess some reassurance that the skills are there, is needed. She can put in the power and the technique, but mostly she puts in the emotion. Mike, I agree totally with you, I am not so fond of all the vocal runs, except the Jazz runs, but I understand that she wanted to put as much as possible into her few minutes. What I really love about the song is the small twists that she adds, the low volume at the start, that different note in the third 'line', the longer vibrated note. Also those sliding jazz notes throughout the song and the tempo variations. These small unexpected things are what I really love about her music. This could probably turn away some of the younger audience used to autotuned, 'autorepeated/autumnrythmed' pop music, but I really hope that she will prefer to grow in musical genius than in larger audience.
I follow her 6 years now, since she was 7 years old and she won Norway got talent. I listen all her covers and with her smokey , raspy voice and her emotions when she sing, all covers are better than original songs. I just love her. She is amazing now and she will be huge legend one day. This performance is stuning. Even Queen Woows her performance on Twitter. Will be mesmerizing if Angelina and Queen do this song together one day.

She's barefoot for the following reason: In 2015, Angelina published the book _Mellom to hjerter_ (Between two hearts) in which she tells the story of her meeting with a poor motherless girl in Asia to whom she gave her shoes. In return the girl promised to always pray for Angelina. According to Angelina, the book is based on a real incident, and she cites it as the reason for always performing barefoot.
She arranged the music herself and she is absolutely amazing! Try her cover of Screamin Jay Hawkins' I Put A Spell On You. It's a black and white video of her in the studio recording it at only 9yrs old. She surpasses any cover of that song you might have heard prior to hers, but it will leave you thinking that she wrote the song and you will not believe that the arrangement and vocals all come from a 9yr old kid. Make no mistake, she is a genius. Great reaction, I too am brought to tears with her version of Bohemian Rhapsody and I wasn't even there to see it live. Simply inexplicable.

I've been following her since she was 7 when she auditioned & won Norway's Got Talent. She turned 14 today, the 10th. She performs barefoot in tribute & rememberance of a young girl she met on the street who had no shoes & sores on her feet. She gave her, her shoes. Wow, she really masters any song in her own style. This child towers over the 5'11" Taylor Swift and she is still growing. She was on holday when she was 6 I think, and met a girl on the street with no shoes, Angelina gave her shoes to this girl and said she would perform, sing barefooted in respect of poor children... In one of the preliminary interviews she was asked what this song meant to her and she said this song reminded her of her grandfather who recently passed away. Her interpretation and relationship with it in that context is what makes it so very different. So when you said it seemed like she made it a love song (I think that was in your other reaction that I watched first) you were actually correct.
Wolf Rock, you are spot on. When I heard this the first (and 20th and 100th) time, my jaw just dropped. I hear Nora Jones and Amy Winehouse in there, but Angelina definitely has a style all her own. I am a 67 year old man, a former jazz musician and music teacher, and I cry every time I watch this. I hope she has managers who will have her best interests at heart and not just the money. Hello I don't know if you read these comments but I wanted to see what you thought about something. I'm a professional musician and vocalist I have been doing it for years. I feel entirely comfortable saying I have an expert opinion. Regarding Angelina Jordan I have come to a conclusion that partly is challenging my beliefs about existential matters. I might refer to things like God given or other worldly but more metaphorically than anything. This is the most special being I have ever seen in a 60 year lifetime. There are some things that none of the reaction people are putting together with her. She has depth and feeling beyond most humans comprehension. Sure you can find examples of finely honed artist's that have been taught incredible works of art and polished themselves. But this girl is a pure manifestation of the art form of music she can morph into anything she chooses to and she has been doing it as a child. I don't think people understand what they are actually seeing because you have to reach a very serious level of understanding and or skill to even wrap your mind around it. If I were a religious type I would probably have to say she has been given a gift that could potentially heal mankind. Music is a gift that we don't fully appreciate that way it has the potential to move people to other dimensions and I believe if we focused on it more than we do all the wrong stuff we're all obsessed with we could soothe the polarization and probably get things to a greater state of peace and that's without Angelina. Imagine what a soul like her could bring about if she were so inclined

FINALLY ! The world knows what we knew years ago. The whole point of AGT is to find a talent that can sell out tickets to a 2 hour show. Angelina is the "it" ! Goosebumps and tears guaranteed. World class.
She arranges and picks the songs she sings. She has been doing that since she was 8-9 years old. Just wait until you hear songs that show-off her lower range. You must watch her first audition song to get into Norway's Got Talent she sings,'I'm A Fool To Want You' . She sings it acappella, without a start note or a pitch pipe to start her off. Yet she never goes out of tune or loses the timing of the song. She was 7 at the time of the audition. She won the whole competition after she turned 8 years old. She just turned 14 on the 10th of January. She has a gift for singing the song directly into each persons heart. There are many very good young singers out there, very few can sing you into the song like she can. I want you to listen to that first audition song because it gets overlooked. She shouldn't even be able to sing that song let alone pack it with the emotional charge that she does. If she had never sung another note, that song alone would be worth listening to over and over again. You will undoubtedly have heard Angelina's version of ' I put a Spell on You' when she was eight! Very savvy choice of song for AGT appearance, taking a classic everybody knows and turning it into a love ballad! She has been gifted with a superb instrument and an innate knowledge of the emotional truth of music. God guide her past the rocky cliffs of the musical canyons to her pinnacle of performing vocal miracles.

Not her first performance by a long shot. She has been performing all her short life, in charity concerts, all around the world and for notable organizations and people; she is just not well known in the U.S., but she is now! She was 13 when they recorded AGT - the Champions and is 14 years old today. She entered Norway's Got Talent at age 7 and won it at age 8 with unbelievably perfect songs. She’s barefoot because when she was a few years younger, she was traveling in Asia and saw a little girl selling wares in the rain. The little girl was barefoot and was admiring Angelina’s shoes. In a heartfelt gesture she gave the little girl her shoes. Ever since then, when she sings onstage she appears barefoot to commemorate the little girl and by extension, the thousands of children worldwide who go barefoot due to poverty. She’s a good kid in addition to sounding like a cross between Amy Winehouse and Billie Holliday. Marvelously talented!

Ulyses, absolutely true. She is a musical spice. You start to appreciate musical genre, artists and genres after listening to Angelina. I have listened a lot to Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, Amy after listening to her covers. When I listen to a nice melody on the radio I wonder how it would sound if Angelina did it, and several cases that has actually happened some months later, like songs from Chris Isak, Adele, Queen and Whitney.

Usually I'm not a fan of singers doing too many vocals runs in their performances, but they only have a short time to make an impression on the judges in these talent shows, so I totally understand why she did it here. VERY impressive display of talent here...no wonder she got the golden buzzer. My wife and I used to watch AGT when we had cable...there was some pretty good acts on that show...quite entertaining actually. Never heard her do that many, that long, runs. She's much appreciated by her fans for not drowning every song in them, but she's very intelligent and knows what is needed. I don't even think they are what sold it to the audience, but I guess some reassurance that the skills are there, is needed. She can put in the power and the technique, but mostly she puts in the emotion. Mike, I agree totally with you, I am not so fond of all the vocal runs, except the Jazz runs, but I understand that she wanted to put as much as possible into her few minutes. What I really love about the song is the small twists that she adds, the low volume at the start, that different note in the third 'line', the longer vibrated note. Also those sliding jazz notes throughout the song and the tempo variations. These small unexpected things are what I really love about her music. This could probably turn away some of the younger audience used to autotuned, 'autorepeated/autumnrythmed' pop music, but I really hope that she will prefer to grow in musical genius than in larger audience.
I follow her 6 years now, since she was 7 years old and she won Norway got talent. I listen all her covers and with her smokey , raspy voice and her emotions when she sing, all covers are better than original songs. I just love her. She is amazing now and she will be huge legend one day. This performance is stuning. Even Queen Woows her performance on Twitter. Will be mesmerizing if Angelina and Queen do this song together one day.

In 2015, Angelina published the book _Mellom to hjerter_ (Between two hearts) in which she tells the story of her meeting with a poor motherless girl in Asia to whom she gave her shoes. In return the girl promised to always pray for Angelina. According to Angelina, the book is based on a real incident, and she cites it as the reason for always performing barefoot.

She arranged the music herself and she is absolutely amazing! Try her cover of Screamin Jay Hawkins' I Put A Spell On You. It's a black and white video of her in the studio recording it at only 9yrs old. She surpasses any cover of that song you might have heard prior to hers, but it will leave you thinking that she wrote the song and you will not believe that the arrangement and vocals all come from a 9yr old kid. Make no mistake, she is a genius. Great reaction, I too am brought to tears with her version of Bohemian Rhapsody and I wasn't even there to see it live. Simply inexplicable.

I've been following her since she was 7 when she auditioned & won Norway's Got Talent. She turned 14 today, the 10th. She performs barefoot in tribute & rememberance of a young girl she met on the street who had no shoes & sores on her feet. She gave her, her shoes. You definitely need to listen to all her cover songs. She is also writing her own songs now & has written a book. She plays piano, guitar & flute. She is an old soul.

Wow, she really masters any song in her own style. This child towers over the 5'11" Taylor Swift and she is still growing. She is bare foot on stage not because of growing pains but she once gave her shoes to a poor oriental girl and keeps that memory alive. She is the granddaughter of a very talented woman.

Niiiiiiice and finaly! I told ya she is over the top, wayyyyy over... She always performs barefoot. She was on holday when she was 6 I think, and met a girl on the street with no shoes, Angelina gave her shoes to this girl and said she would perform, sing barefooted in respect of poor children... Story cut short but that is the essence of it :D
In one of the preliminary interviews she was asked what this song meant to her and she said this song reminded her of her grandfather who recently passed away. Her interpretation and relationship with it in that context is what makes it so very different. So when you said it seemed like she made it a love song (I think that was in your other reaction that I watched first) you were actually correct.

Wolf Rock, you are spot on. When I heard this the first (and 20th and 100th) time, my jaw just dropped. I hear Nora Jones and Amy Winehouse in there, but Angelina definitely has a style all her own. I am a 67 year old man, a former jazz musician and music teacher, and I cry every time I watch this. I hope she has managers who will have her best interests at heart and not just the money. After seeing this, I watched other videos of her on UA-cam. Some were outstanding, some were OK. A big concern I have is that they are over-sexualizing her. She's 13 years old, for God's sake. Let her be a teenager and allow her to grow into the superstar she is destined to be!

You mention that Angelina had performed a different version of this iconic song. This was by design. Such is her incredible talent that she is able to take a well known song, choose the words in the lyrics that she wishes and rearrange them, and then do the same with the music in a way that she feels truly reflects the emotions in the song. You may have noticed, too, that what was a "rock" song is now in the "jazz' genre. I know of no other singer who has the ability to mould a song to such a degree that the change more truly reflects the emotions in that song and, even more remarkable, is her ability to communicate those emotions to her listeners.

Hello I don't know if you read these comments but I wanted to see what you thought about something.
I'm a professional musician and vocalist I have been doing it for years. I feel entirely comfortable saying I have an expert opinion.
Regarding Angelina Jordan I have come to a conclusion that partly is challenging my beliefs about existential matters.
I might refer to things like God given or other worldly but more metaphorically than anything.
This is the most special being I have ever seen in a 60 year lifetime. There are some things that none of the reaction people are putting together with her. She has depth and feeling beyond most humans comprehension. Sure you can find examples of finely honed artist's that have been taught incredible works of art and polished themselves. But this girl is a pure manifestation of the art form of music she can morph into anything she chooses to and she has been doing it as a child. I don't think people understand what they are actually seeing because you have to reach a very serious level of understanding and or skill to even wrap your mind around it. If I were a religious type I would probably have to say she has been given a gift that could potentially heal mankind. Music is a gift that we don't fully appreciate that way it has the potential to move people to other dimensions and I believe if we focused on it more than we do all the wrong stuff we're all obsessed with we could soothe the polarization and probably get things to a greater state of peace and that's without Angelina. Imagine what a soul like her could bring about if she were so inclined

6:25 Here in Norway, people have been saying "oh my God, I can only imagine what she's gonna do once she gets older" since Angelina was 6, and on Norway's Got Talent. So far, this is the answer. Well, the latest of them. There has been many, each more amazing than the other.
I also never watch "Got Talent". That kind of show isn't my thing, either. I accidentally saw a short clip from it. That was plenty, though, to know that I had found something amazing, that some day would amaze the entire World.

There's a whole lot of her music videos on UA-cam. I'm surprised that you haven't seen her. She's so gifted, and so young, yet. She's so worth following. She will be great.

She is bare foot because at six years old she met a little girl who had no shoes and she took hers off her feet and gave them to her. She vowed not to sing in shoes until all the children in the world have shoes. and have raised million to do so.
