Moby is one of my all time heros. I was moved by his song "Go from back in the day. When I heard it for the first time it blew my mind. I have never been the same since. I am now hopeless addicted to a lot of Moby songs that are too numerous to mention. One such example is a song "Natural Blues" that was so beautifully remixed by dj Paul Oakenfold from his album Play. It is one of my favorite songs . Another favorite is his song "A seated Night" from his album "Wait for me" Moby is a rare gift to the universe.
Truly an iconic album. I always come back to it. I remember how popular it was and how every song was licensed for a commercial etc. Just a beautiful, classic work of art. In my top 20 albums of all time, for sure. I was a wee teen at the time, but knew it was a masterpiece. Can't believe it's been 25 years! Happy Anniversary, Play!🎉🎉🎉
I have listed to this album a thousand times. It was the soundtrack to the year I met my wife. It evokes so many emotions and memories. When you started playing Everloving, it brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for this amazing music.
I love that its all acoustic, new arrangements of the play album. Not just playing the songs identical, theyve been refreshed ❤ cant wait for part 2 🎉❤
Two thumbs up, nobody wrote in these 25 years anything remotely close to the level of Play. I love Chemical Brothers and The Prodigy, but Moby is on a different level.
I bought this album like 5 times because the cd would get scratches on it and i couldn't stand to hear one skip on a such a masterpiece. Thank you Moby for such an amazing album ❤️
My CD got scratches on it too and I never had another scratched album that would make it skip like Play. I'm not a conspiracy theorist, just a guy that had about 5999 compact disks that didn't skip PS I also used to LOVE the play B sides box set that I had which looked similar to the cover of play (same photo/photoshoot) but with an orange ish /red background as opposed to the turquoise/blue background of the original ... maybe it was just a box that contained both albums now that I think about it... anyway, it just amazes me how he had such a lengthy work of quality and yet there were still almost a full albums worth of leftover b sides. He definitely inspired me and my drive as I have since become a VERY prolific artist/musician/producer since.
So much memories with Moby music, he is such a genius of his time, I remember listening him at Mexico City at a psytrance music festival in the forest, very magical work from this amazing human being.
I can't believe, as musical varied as I am, I never heard of MOBY. I actually thought that song on Bourne Identity was so relatable to my CPTSD & BPD and summed up things I've experienced so well, I looked it up. My son kept laughing that I was listening to a movie soundtrack song, & I just loved it. Then, I looked up others & there's so much amazing music, & I finally heard Porcelain & realized, I know this SONG! I Loved it, back in the day. Anyways, glad to find this on Thanksgiving, & hear such amazing composure. Thanks Moby. Moves the soul.
Complete Respect Moby, and All- this is a fantastic MobyPod! Wonderful stories, with fantastic PLAY music.... this album brings back my own memories of listening to it.... absolutely love it!!
Beautiful new renditions of those wonderful songs from PLAY! If it weren't for a TV commercial and an X-Files episode ("Closure" from Season 7), I might not have discovered Moby's mesmerizing and hypnotically beautiful music. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Moby, your music has always been so meaningful for me in my life and your humble, awkward, funny, honesty just secures you as one of, if not the most important artists, throughout my life. Thank you 💜
Our brother moby, we apreciate you. We are thankful for your music. Keep it up, this world ia a better place because of you. Peace, love snd respect brother
man cant believe its been 25 years. i got this cd when i was attending a christian college and it was so great. i remember walking around with the cd player around campus listening to it :-) man shes gorgeous tho i hope i can meet a nice woman like that someday :-) go moby!
I got divorced in 99 which meant I could now play music at home (as opposed to only in my car). I bought Moby Play and Groove Armada Vertigo and still have both CDs today #goodolddays
I remember listening Porcelain by Moby driving down the U.S. Coast Highway from Oceanside, CA. to San Diego, CA. thinking about my life and relaxing. I absolutely love all of Moby's music.

I’m still speechless that I was fortunate to attend this intimate evening and witness this beautiful event. Thank you, Moby. But by all means, congrats again on the milestone. Your music truly touched many souls, including mine. :)
Really great to hear these songs in this format. Thank you 🙏 I was lucky to catch some of your arena shows in Europe last month and still have fond memories of those too 💜👍
Wish Moby would for once play Look back in on one of his live concerts. It's one of the best instrumental tracks ever made. Makes you flow away and think about life like none other song ever did.
Thank you for your music. Your concert in Burgas was one of the most amazing experiences in my life. I'm a photographer and I photograph concerts but for yours, I put the camera down and I danced the whole time. Also, I'm a vegan so your position is also very important 🙏🏽
Love when he said his mom could probably "predict" hed grow up to be a "musician" or "an alcoholic drug addict" and she responded "well, good for her i guess" Are they like, friends or something? And if so, why?
I'm with you on electronic music and the future. i was 8 when i got my first casio synthetsiser not very big but it was a electronic keyboard. must of been 1983. i was deeply into jean Michael Jarr.
I love Moby for so many years.. thank you for your music..
One of the greatest albums ever recorded, thank you Moby 🙌
Thanks Moby for porcelain-you have touched so many lives with your music !
I will never forget the first time I heart play by chance. I was like “WHO is this?” I was completely mesmerized. In awe, in a trance.

12:50 Händel. I think it was JS Bach (or Beethoven) that said "we are all standing in the shadows of Händel".
