--The voice in the intro wasn't Karli, but Shuri's line from Black Panther: "Another broken white boy for us to fix." (Thanks Ri-Bread and others for pointing that out!)
--Right after he says "Don't tell me I'm a disappointment," Jonathan Majors looks DIRECTLY at the camera. That was also intended for the viewers.
--He Who Remains' spiral window appeared in the background of an earlier poster for the series!
--Deeper dives and theories into Renslayer, which TVA Loki is in at the end, and He Who Remains' true agenda are coming to the channel in the coming days!

I'm just amazed how Erik explaining it without noticing it's 24 mins video
hold on I didn't even realize the vid was that long, felt too fast for me💀
These always go by quick
Maybe that's because, unlike a lot of other creators, he actually doesn't fill a lot of time with useless yapping and stalling for time. Erik gets straight into it right away and just keeps telling actual interesting information. And as long as what he's telling you is interesting, time flies. But a lot of those other creators keep telling too much uninteresting stuff so time seems to just drag on and on.
I for real just watched 10 minute video just to see like 10 blooper shots, the rest was FILLED with useless commentary and just describing what was going to happen in the upcoming video, while the video material in the back wasn't even always related to the MCU at all. Had it been just the bloopers the video would've been 1 minute long. And he didn't even say anything interesting or anything we didn't know, no fascinating inside knowledge or background or whatever, just personal commentary and descriptions. I just felt so used for monetization... And I get that content creators need a little sponsoring and a little help to be able to make enough money off of it, but that video was just LUDICROUS. Making a 10 minute video out of 1 minute of blooper footage while not saying anything of worth for 9 minutes is just disrespectful to the viewer.
So thank you Erik & team, for showing us how GOOD content is created! Don't give us minutes we don't need! Keep up the great work! :D

The whole time we watched The Avengers, we were led to believe Thanos was the biggest threat to everyone's existence. And literally the first episode of Loki you meet the TVA that invalidates any threat Thanos poses to them. So you start thinking, who can be so powerful as to create the literal Time Police that can rewrite all of existences' history? Now that threat is coming soon.
Then once this Saga is over Marvel has to top that.
He’s probably planning now.
More importantly, this threat effectively rewrote the TVA itself.
Equivalent to 'Powercreep' in video games
marvel can made unlimited version of kang, so i doubt kang will be the final boss in MCU. he probably cameo and being another variant to fight, but as immortus i dont think so. not to mention immortus is far away stronger than any of marvel enemies they ever made

The MCU is officially OVER. Welcome to the Marvel Cinematic Multiverse.
For real, at this point
SO FREAKING EPIC
MCM
Universes*
Nah, the acronym “mcu” sounds way better than mcm
Marvel somehow went from needing 10 years and 20 movies to set up their big bad to only needing a few shows and movies.
This episode set the stakes for 3 movies without technically showing off the main villain. The “nice” version of our big bad created the TVA and easily trumped the power of the Infinity Stones, now imagine what KANG THE CONQUORER will do.
EXACTLY
I feel like it was the full Council of Kangs who established the TVA, but only Immortus got to become He Who Remains as victor of the multiversal war.
I believe the secret wars stroyline is coming to The mcu very soon
You summed it up pretty good!
And I feel that each phase will be a complete saga with Kang being in some form the villain of a multiversal saga
Now that the MCU has busted open into the Multiverse, wouldn’t we now consider it the MCM? For Marvel Cinematic Multiverse!? That’s a legit question!!!
Great question!
I'm gonna call it that, just for phase 4.
@@ScofieldStudios And maybe Phase 5 and on, if they keep it going. I'll probably slip up (MCU slides off the tongue better than MCM), but it is technically the MCM now.
@@Lokear True. It will probably last for 3 phases like Thanos
While it can be changed to that, we have had thirteen years of calling it the MCU. Calling it anything different now just feels weird, in my opinion.
Mobius never remembered an Alligator Loki, and now our Loki. So this wasn’t his first hard memory wipe.

Maybe Alligator Loki was from a different sacred timeline outright which is why his backstory is so drastically different. :v

The apple thing might also be a reference to immortality.
The Apples Of Idunn are how the Asgardians maintain their immortality in norse mythology
Good catch! Right in the two Asgardians faces! Other immortal apples: The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, hinting at Kang's impending death. The Song of Wandering Aengus, "...pluck until time and times are done, the silver apples of the moon, the golden apples of the sun." Barbossa's death and return in "Pirates of the Caribbean."
The meaning of the green apple is a nod to the cover of the book "Life and Death" which pictures a green apple 🍏 and is a gender swapped, alternate reality version of "Twilight" which pictures a red apple 🍎. Going with the gender swapped, alternate reality theme of Loki.
Everyone: OMG how many movies will it take for Marvel to set up an event as big as or bigger than Endgame..

I'm starting to think when Dr. Strange said "there's no other way", he meant that the only way possible was this because it's the only timeline possible.
Or maybe he intentionally made sure this would happen. Given how he observed Fourteen million, six hundred and five different timelines, with only one eventual success, and that we know the TVA resets all other timelines (even if there are multiple small variances of sacred timelines, considering the sacred timeline is for endgame to occur, it means that all other timelines he visited isn't of the sacred timeline), it's highly likely he knows the other timelines are being reset.

Technically wouldn’t this variety be a Conqueror that completely won? From what it looks like, he’s sitting in the ideal position that the “evil” Kangs would have wanted to be in, starting the cycle of time over again by releasing his variants only to again have one of them “conquer” the rest and form the sacred timeline again.. and again.. and again… for all time. Always.
Impermanence is "always" the true victor. Nobody ever conquers for all time. Never.
If he was really the conqueror, he would’ve wanted a multiverse so that he could have all timelines under his control. Instead he just wants to keep himself in power without a multiversal war
I wonder. Like the loop has happened before. I swear the vocalizations at 42. 05 are "The End. Again." But I'm not sure. It's an interesting idea.
Loved the way how you played Loki's 'love is a dagger ' speech on the final fight between him and sylvie
People don’t realize that since we will see villainous kang, we will probably see his heroic variants as well. Very mind blowing stuff here

Loki. Proving that falling in love with oneself; flaws and all, is the key to unlocking your true magic.
Meanwhile, easter egg videos from 2002 be like:
16:34 "A HIDDEN MICKEY."
Disney can’t help themselves.
This episode touches on duality. Male and female. Good vs. evil. Chaos vs. order. This variant of Kang needed the duality of Loki variants to determine the next step in his journey through the multiverse. Almost like how Two-Face flips a coin before he decides to kill or spare his victims. He leaves it to chance. In this case the dualing Lokis.
In the end, I believe this Kang was hoping Sylvie would have the upper hand. He wanted to unleash chaos from the order he created. Why? Simply boredom. Plus he found beauty in the end by not knowing what will happen and realized that he would end up right back where he was either way. From order comes chaos and vice versa like a pendulum that swings. That is the natural transition of the multiverse as the one above all intended.
At times Kang reminded me of Heath Ledger's Joker, and at other times when he was speaking about knowing everything it reminded me of Ozymandias from Zack Snyder's Watchmen.
Very much more Ozymandias than Joker. Joker does things to prove a point and is very much an agent of chaos. Ozymandias does things to force a point and is very much an agent of order.
Why is it that Loki variants don’t all like alike, but other variants are perfect copies? And I’m not talking about the young and old versions, more the female, satyr, beast, and black loki’s.
Loki is a shapeshifter. Remember Thor explained how he changed into a snake and stabbed him. At some point, he could’ve changed his appearance that he liked and stuck with it
Loki is a shapeshifter, so it’s a lot more likely for variants of him to look different. Also, he’s from Asgard, a mythical realm, not the mortal realm.
Loki was born blue. Sooo there’s that. lol
Because there are infinite versions of Loki. Its more entertaining if there are different versions of him. The writers can be more creative. Also Easter eggs.
But what’s the perfect copy of Loki? There’s no perfect copy of Loki we are just used to the one we know.
silvie shouldv' enchanted "he who remains" instead of killing him
This idea would have required talent from who ever was in charge.
Exactly! At least know everything that he knows before you fuckin kill him. Then we coulda saw a glimpse of Blue Khang Conquering 😈
The idea behind enchantment is the stronger the mind, the harder it is. He who remains is way too powerful for something like that
@@Chris-pu9sh bigger issue. If it’d have even worked. If Loki could resist, I suspect Kang could as well.
The worst part of this episode was MOBIUS DIDNT GET HIS JET SKI HOW DARE MARVEL HOW DARE.
there is always season 2
Series finale I bet
that's the final payoff.
Saved for season 2
Or say “wow” 😭😭💔
Maybe the reason why Mobius didn’t remember alligator Loki is because they have been reset before
For sure
That's exactly why. Also why he didn't remember leaving the rings on the table in renslayers office.
@@stephenpena7813 Your so right
Kang: eats apple
Dr. Strange: My time has come
I didn't interpret the TVA in the end of the episode as being a different branch. I thought that the TVA exists outside of the multiverse, in a pocket, so there is no alternate TVA, only one TVA. And evil Kang reset the TVA and all the agents' memories, and put up his statue, after He Who Remains was killed.
Or killing not kang resets everything like back to the future
What about when we see Mobius and B-15 talk ing before Loki reaches the alt versions of them?
That makes more sense
@@reeseruss Not really it seems there is alt versions of the TVA.
I don’t think the TVA Loki got blasted back to is the original one, but another TVA in a timeline that the conquering Kang is from, hence the statue and no one knowing this Loki.
Same!!!! Thank you!
No one analyzes a story like Erik.. He sees things with the insight of a microscope..
Think I caught him slipping on one very important Easter egg though 👀
No one is perfect but.. he connects things I would never have caught..🤷♂️
And yet he still doesn’t understand what Markus and Mcfeely did with Old Cap to be with Peggy.
@@mrsisig7443 it’s kinda hard when even the directors don’t agree with the writers so it’s very up in the air
@@lazerman27 it’s their story, so the writers get the last say. The Russo bros are clueless, not to mention rude to even contradict the writers intent. Now Loki explains everything and still Voss still doesn’t understand how the timeline works. There is only one sacred timeline, And Voss still thinks Old Cap came from a different timeline. How much more does he wants Marvel to explain it to him?
The reset TVA doesn't recognize Loki because suppression of variants is no longer, er..never was, their purpose. They are Kang{Conquerer}[n]'s personal time/space army. Notice how they are discussing what He wants them to do.
I think Loki got sent into another dimension/universe's tva. Since the one in sacred timeline had three statues instead of one
@@alfonsor.4161 I don't think there are multiple tva's for multiple universes... Because variants from other universes came to the TVA we saw in the series , eg Slyvie and Loki himself...
@@ssjxn the point is we dont even know for sure if they came from other universes, or simply parallel dimensions/timelines.
Imo it makes sense if loki got transferred into another tva since the sacred timelines been compromised, meaning alternate versions of he who remains resurfaced agains to start a multiversal war, one of them could be running an alternate tva since sacred timeline's he who remains is dead.
@@alfonsor.4161 the TVA and the time keepers was the body that used to manage these alternate timelines. There cant be another TVA. I thought the same as you did when I first saw the scene but then I realised. The same TVA had pruned various variants from different timelines. It's like the TVA and the timekeepers manage these alternate timelines. There cant be another TVA.
@@ssjxn maybe there wasn't one version of the tva from the start. Something about the broken statue in Kang's place made me feel like it happened recently and if so, it could be because Loki and Sylvie messed up one version of the tva or timeline. Maybe each statue represented a different tva?
When MCU announced Loki, I didn't expected this to be that good😱
I did. I knew tom would nvr feature in a shitty script. He values his Loki too much for that.
Clicked on this faster than the TVA trying to reset the timeline
I don’t think the TVA “reset”. I think Loki was teleported to a TVA in another universe where kang is the leader
Exactly!!!!
No. The tva is outside time. It can only be changed from within.
@@michaeln3044 time has nothing to do with multiple realities or universes. Time is continuity of reality changing . The time line is just a construct of events in continuity of a particular universe.
@@MrMysticmatt What they meant was that the TVA is a singular entity meant to safeguard all of the multiverse. Having multiple TVA defeats the purpose of the TVA itself.
If there are multiple TVA, then there are multiple Kang He Who Remains. That means this one's death should mean nothing because another TVA can just correct this one.
I still don't quite understand........is there only one TVA that exists out of time (like the citadel at the end of time) and with Sylvie killing "He Who Remains" Kang ,one of the other Kang variants (from the branching timelines) took control of it at some point during their lives?? (Is our Loki currently there??)
or there is a different TVA now for each one of the different branching timelines??
Jonathon Majors was AMAZING in this episode.
After tony and cap's fight , loki and Sylvie's fight was most heartbreaking fight for me till now in mcu
To me it was just "Stop hitting yourself" but with more stabby.
I love the final clip, showing the Kang statue. Because I think it’s telling us ’you’ve done getting to know he who remands, and now you have to deal with Kang The Conqueror’
When the "he who remains" looked puzzled and realise he doesn't know what would happen next, he is very similar to Griffin in Men In Black 3 movie, which he sees things others can't see.
We love sitting down as a family watching your recaps and Easter egg finds each week for this season of Loki. Such an extraordinary amount of work put in by you and the NR team. Thank you. Going to miss these recaps of Loki as much we will miss viewing a new episode. The last two weeks I have suffered from ear infections and loss of hearing so we had to watch you, Eric, with captions and at .75 speed because I couldn’t catch all of the fast dialogue. That was such a trip in itself. LOL.
