Hi Alan.... Thank you for watching. I was surprised and really pleased how the photos at the end of the video, of the diorama sections turned out. It boosted my confidence no end. Regards.... Steve 👍
Great start on the scenics Steve, may I suggest sprinkling bit of varied green scatter on bushes youll be amazed at the difference Grass also better very rough with washed out greens and dead grass. Hoping that helps
Hi John. Thanks for the encouragement and the tips. I will definitely try what you have suggested. I am soon going to have a go at static grass for the very first time. I’m excited to see it’s effect on the layout. Regards ...Steve 👍
Nice update, like the curved backscenes and how you’ve used buildings and towers to blend them together, just subbed and will look back in some of your previous updates, cheers Darrell
Hi Darrell.... Thanks for watching, and the sub. It’s very much appreciated. This is my very first proper layout, having been interested as a kid and only getting back to the hobby at 64 😱. It’s turned out to be a test bed for learning how to do things and practice my skills. Just subbed your channel. Your layout is excellent. I of course will pinch some ideas from your work 🤣🤣
@@route7railway567 no worries mate, that’s all I do is watch other channels to see how it’s done and pinch their ideas 😆😆 thanks for the sub and I’m liking some of the things you’re doing , I only started this in April last year and everyday is a new experience and a challenge but helped by the massive railway community, keep up the excellent work, cheers Darrell
Looks good to me mate 👍. Your scenery skills will develop naturally. When I think of my first attempts against what I'd do now - well its a bit like night and day. Main thing is your happy with what you've done. Cheers Euan
Hi Euan… Thanks for watching. It amazing how much I’m learning about the hobby building this layout. There are already some parts I would like to do over. Lol. Regards…. Steve 👍
Hi Steve it's looking good mate. Doing scenics is a lot of trial and error. You do it and it either is how you want it and if not just do it again or keep adding to it until it is what you want. That's some coffee drinking though mate how do you sleep lol atb Andy
Hi Andy.... Thanks for watching. lol the coffee grounds go a long way. It takes a while to save them up but it’s worth it I think. Great looking layout Steve such great detail to your layout, I have subscribed to your channel from Mini Wistaston Junction's stream last Friday. I have a model of the Hattons 66 but I have the British Rail 66789 model and I used to see the Silver Bullets down where I live in Cornwall. Hope your staying safe and take care from Josh
Hey Josh… Many thanks for the sub. It’s fun doing my first layout. I’m learning so much especially on the scenery. I’ll return the sub 👍👍 Regards … Steve 🤗
Hey Steve. Thanks so much for the sub. I am planning to do a layout in the future as well which I will be doing a modern image layout from the 70's till now. Hope you stay safe and take care. From Josh
Hi Steve, Its looking good and as Allan said coming alive so well done and keep it up and do what you want but advice from John is worth doing he knows his stuff, thanks for the mention and showing the Hatton's running with a nice load all good and last of all does the train room smell of coffee all the time??? as always keep safe and well. Cheers Robert.
Hi Robert thanks for looking in. I will definitely take John’s advice and tips, his work is outstanding. You can smell the coffee as you work with it, but the smell seems to fade quite quickly. Or is it that I’m just so use to it. 🤣 Regards.... Steve 👍

We can meet up at the same time. Sadly it’s not convenient for a visit to my layout Sunday, but I’m sure we can chat and arrange for another day. Regards…. Steve 👍
