I’ve been watching your videos for the last couple weeks now (I find them very relaxing), and after everything I’ve seen so far, I have to admit the lounge area at the San Francisco airport was quite embarrassing. It was absolutely pitiful, almost insulting, compared to all other lounges in Europe and Asia. Huge difference! Thanks for sharing your videos! From picture quality to editing to music selection, everything is amazing!
Some of the lounges in JFK -- aside from Clubhouse and Delta -- are pretty lame too. Check out the lounge AlItalia uses. UGH! It was so bad we went to the Korean Air lounge using my ElitePlus status to enter. They were like: "Alitalia's lounge is just over there." We were like: "We know." lol
@@crisyorke1328 Obviously, you have never been to the US Deep South, or to Amsterdam, London, Berlin, Madrid, Brussels, Prague, Oslo, Stockholm, Paris, Barcelona, Ibiza, Mykonos, St. Tropez, Helsinki, Athens, Rome, Milano, Catania, Zurich, Kopenhagen, Biarritz, Vienna, or Glasgow (and all the other wonderful cities in Europe). And you obviously do not know what repressive means.
When one is compiling a trip report featuring a 777 aircraft, all one has to do is capture the beautiful spool up sound of those magnificent engines and the rest is gravy! Nice work.
Thank you Luxury Travèl Expert um was saying sorry got distracted. Love to resd the magazines.I love reading what other countries have to offer .Never been on a Swiss aircraft but love the look .Thank you for sharing this virtual trip
If you are scared of flying, just enjoy the amenities of the crew. I used to be sick whenever I flew, but then I started enjoying the food, seat, and magazines, and maybe watched a couple shows or movies. It will get rid of the anxiety really quick my friend. 😉
Hi again the luxury Travel Expert. Keep in mind that I will try my best to follow you on UA-cam every week. I have school, but don’t worry. I love traveling so I will never forget about you.
Swiss airline has the best interior design of all European airlines, the most stylish, modern and premium looking interior I have ever seen so far. 2nd Lufthansa and 3rd British airways.
Great video! To answer your question: the shoulder harness is required to prevent head strike to the seat shell in front. Inflatable seat belts perform a similar function. The decision to use a shoulder harness vs. inflatable depends on how the seat was certified.
strflyer128 it’s just the geometry of the seat because of the oblique angle. Economy seats are forward facing and do not need the shoulder harness. Some front row economy seats do have airbags/air belts.
Wow. This is one of the best trip reports I’ve ever seen. It flowed so beautifully and the music choice was spot on. Thank you for publishing this amazing trip report!
As soon as I saw the price to reserve a seat, I decided I'll never review this product! So extra thanks for posting as this is the only way I'll ever see it! :D
Lovely video. I think SWISS is the only airline that sounds a chime once when there is one minute left for departure and twice when take off is immediate
I got a chuckle out of that "throne" seat discription! I rarely read the inflight magazines... unless I'm REALLY bored. Like yourself, I really do prefer the 777, although I've only flown one on a few occasions domestically i.e. 777-200. It was also nice to see that they offer several types of single-malt scotch, at least with Swiss on this flight. I don't see that very often. Another great job with your video production.
777 300er is my favourite Aircraft . In 2015 I went on a Qatar 777 300er 2hr 30 min flight from Lahore to Doha it only felt like 30mins the flight was so fast . I had omelette with Spicy Sausage with Beans and Tomato
Oh, I miss Switzerland so much. You ask why the seat belts on takeoff. Well, at the risk of rattling your nerves, I'll give you just 2 of many scenarios that could eject you from your seat. A very strong crosswind could strike the plane, jolting you or even tipping the plane part way over. Or, the landing gear struts could break, tossing your face at the screen or seat in front of you. There are more I could tell you, but not with your anxiety, lol. I'm loving watching your videos. I just found you recently and have been playing one after the other for a week or so!
Great video. Beautiful flight. Could you say the name of the song or musician playing during the landing sequence at time stamp 23:33 ? Beautiful music.
Haha! As I'm watching this, I keep wondering what the economy section looks like and what food is served there. That's what I'd most likely be in. Nice video, I appreciate the comprehensive review of the lounge, take off, landing, seating, everything. Also the random information, I find it very interesting.
The shoulder belt isn't used for takeoff and landing in case of an emergency landing and you need to brace. Takeoff and landing are the riskiest times for unexpected need to evacuate.
9:52 Takeoffs and landings are more likely to experience sudden or unexpected movements. The more expensive shoulder belts are safer for you and the cabin than regular lap belts alone, better safety is just one of the perks of a more expensive ticket.
@@scotttild mid market traveler? That place is little better than mcd's. I'd rather sit with the masses than closet myself with an identified group of classless people. No self respect in that room. It's sad that my generation no longer remembers their parents being clean, pressed and presentable. Schlep has brought all class delineanation to heel. Whoopie.
Most business class cabins International are about 44-70 seats like BA puts a lot so does Lufthansa. The reason Swiss have this is because they don’t have Premium Economy and it’s the luxury brand of Lufthansa group designed and marketed as a primarily business class airline
Yes, I tend to read the inflight during takeoff. I am a nervous flyer ( you understand 😉) , so I like to totally distracted during my most anxious moment.
This was very helpful. We fly with them on July 13th from m Zurich to Nairobi and we cannot wait!!! Seems worth every penny we’ve paid. Hopefully the onboard service is good as I’ve got the kids with me but they’re seasoned travelers. We haven’t flown on Swiss Business as a family though. 🤔.
Having been to the Polaris lounge in Chicago, the new American Flagship lounges in O'hare, LAX, JFK, and MIA are far better. As far as the best lounge in America? The Qantas F lounge at LAX. Just my personal experience. :)
Good to know that business class has flat beds. Singapore didn't...maybe now, they do. Didn't Swiss air go out of business at some point? I don't know why I stopped flying Swiss
Great video....with Air Canada’s crazy taxes on flights you think would be free with Aeroplan, Swiss and Asiana are 2 of my best options for a Business class redemption
I used my Areoplan Bank for Swiss because Air Canada and Lufthansa were asking 810 in fees while Swiss after calling into Areoplan was 380(that includes a 30 over the phone fee)
I know the 777 300er is the extended range version of the 777 300 but that's basically the only difference I've seen on most Airlines that the 777 300 actually holds more pax but I suppose it's depending on different Airline configuration
There ought to be couchette-like beds available as well. Simply make two economy seat spaces available at double price. This would allow a full horizontal stretch at a price much cheaper than business while changing nothing in the plane's financials otherwise, except for a minor rearrangements of the seat mechanics.

America is attractive due to its nature and openness. Asian and European system are repressive, so they need to put up a show.

Landing in Zurich was fantastic.
I've been travelling around the world, but in y class. Now it's time for j and first. Thanks for a chance to visualise 🙏
Maybe some of the nicest countryside for any landing I have seen . I enjoyed the production !

Interior Swiss than Lufthansa, Air France/KLM, BA looks horrid and outdated

Thank you for the explanation
Steve Wood but why is this then only used in business class? Rich lives matter, eh?😂

Steve Wood thanks, Steve Woody wood 😉😉
Zurich is sooo Beautiful!!!!
It wasn’t even shown... these are surrounding towns/regions
Too good Sir, especially while landing the ground very well maintained like Cricket Stadium stripes
Oh my God the descent was so beautiful ♥️
Thank you for making such beautiful and relaxing videos. I will be traveling to ZRH soon and this was so informative! 😊

Remember the famous WWII pilots' quote : "I saved my life using my safety belt, I should have save my face using my shoulder harness" :)
I have to say, the "buffet" in the United Lounge looks skimpy, but those chocolate chip cookies are some the best I've had, lol!!
Very beautiful area to fly over for descent, and what a smooth landing!
beautifully filmed

I’m flying this seat for my trip in a couple weeks!
I love your videos...thank you so much for the insight. Way cool...
Thank for the brief history of the airline.
Spectacular landing!
I’m gonna miss the quad engine planes of both brands... those where really impressive.
flying business in the upper deck of the 747 of lufthansa is amazing... but the swiss seats are better in my opinion
thank you for this informative and interesting flight!! happy 2018! sometimes I read them!
Great video. Beautiful flight. Could you say the name of the song or musician playing during the landing sequence at time stamp 23:33 ? Beautiful music.
Considering how much we American's have to fly to get around this huge country I wish our lounges looked better... It really is time for a refresh
Please restore inflight purchases, this was the best part of the flight! Covid is no longer a reason.
What a beautiful landing (could say gliding) it was.

Another A+ for video and info
The american lounge looks like a cozy economy class waiting lounge with some renovations to the chairs and bed n breakfast kinda food spread.
Great video!
YES! I ALWAYS READ FLIGHT MAGAZINES!

Good old Air New Zealand aye. They new livery is pretty good and so Kiwi!
swiss is so cool airlines have fun there :)
You got to be the only person on board playing with every thing
You can see how rich Swiss people are by how busy the premium cabin is!
😂 but the cost of living here is also higher (earn a lot spend a lot)
The American carriers lounges suck. Foreign carriers have far better lounges at their hubs.

Jinx no shit Sherlock
While I'm not a fan of US air carriers, the United Polaris lounge at O'Hare is pretty frakin' nice.
Jinx Most of American are practical. Some of them are not fashionable, but they are down to earth 🌍
Can't believe it's business class!
bmount. I tend to agree...the crowded cabin layout is more "premium economy" than Business to me.

We have flown Business Class several times on Lufthansa. Excellent flight and service. SFO to FRA
I'll fly them in March to the Maldives :-)

Enjoy your trip. I do believe though that Swiss flies their A330 to Nairobi, not their B777s
Very good video looks so perfect hope you enjoyed the long trip back to Zurich, Switzerland
I've been in Zurich many times by swiss airline in the 90
Strangely hypnotic...
I believe they refer to this route on Swiss as the Roche Coach to the high number of Roche employees traveling between SFO-ZRH.
You mean the chocolate company???
With a smooth landing at that! :-)
yeah, i read the magazines on planes

Hi great videos. Why do you fly do much if you feel anxious every time you do it?
You need to do a video on an Air New Zealand flight
I was really shocked to see two people talking to each other in the lounge.
This aged.. not well.
They must be new to flying business/first class hahahah
we shouldn’t talk to someone in business lounge?
This makes me appreciate my travel lounge in Dubai more. Jesus this looks dull and crowded. I'll stick with my usual airlines and lounges.
Good to know that business class has flat beds. Singapore didn't...maybe now, they do. Didn't Swiss air go out of business at some point? I don't know why I stopped flying Swiss

Please note ALL United Boeing 747-400 is just the normal 400 version, only Qantas have the Boeing 747-400ER Passenger Version.
