- Garden Gals and Guys, today I check something off my to-do list in the garden that I've been needing to do for awhile now and that is to train my "Lady of Shallot" climbing rose along my fence. I also combat some powdery mildew on this rose by using Rose Tone RX. This is this plant's first year, so I expect it to take off over the next two years. My end goal is to have the fence covered in climbing roses!

Thanks for watching! Happy Planting!

Glad to see you training in the right direction and I'm not the only one who gardens in my slippers. Bonny zone 5b
You better believe it, Bonny! Slipper days gardening are the best for 100% comfort, right?!? I’m glad I got that tasks off my list. Can’t wait to see how she grows next year!
I am so excited to be purchasing and planting fall bulbs again. Rain just stopped me from potting a few minutes ago and I came in to see your notification.
My old neighbor wanted to make room for some new flowers, so she had me dig out the biggest patch of Crocosmias [Red Lucifers] I've ever seen. Since I didn't have their beds prepped, I potted them for the winter. Ended up with 10 5-gallon pots I intend to spread around my sister's property. The plan is to have patches that bloom different varieties from spring to summer. We are obsessed with hummingbirds, so next year will be a surprise for the ones that return to the neighborhood.
I wish I had your time and budget. Great video as always. Happy gardening!!!!
Hello hello! Thank you! Wow, that will be stunning and so inviting for your hummingbirds! I’m excited for fall bulbs too…always the biggest joy to see them in the Spring after a long winter. Good luck with all your end of season tasks!
@@TinysGarden I put up a quick video of a few flowers you should check out.
I'm tripping out a little bit because I'm also in the Chicago suburbs, have also never grown a rose, and also chose the DA Lady of Shalott for my first one. I ordered it last summer and am waiting for it to be delivered in March. I hope your rose does well!
Howdy neighbor! She’s stunning you’ll love her! Best of luck with it! I’m getting ready to prune it soon!
Muy buen trabajo
Thank you, Yesid!
Good job
Thank you!
I'd love to see an update of this shrub!
Unfortunately it died...I think it got too cold over winter. Bummer, but now I know!
beautiful rose! What are the dimensions of the pot?
Will you post an update on how Lady of Shallot is doing?
Unfortunately it died 😞 Too cold to grow it in a pot in Chicago I guess, but I tried!

My sincere condolences.
My roses are unfortunately not blooming anymore, the leaves are a bit withered, the area where I live is mountainous but with summers nearing 40 degrees Celsius, do you have any suggestions for me to do. Isn't this lack of flowering due to the summer heat?
I have to plead my ignorance here…I’m not sure. It turns out my area was too cold for this because it didn’t over winter, so I’ve got to find another way to grow em!
I am In Aurora Illinois how can your rose survive in a container in the winter?
It didn't! It was a test run and unfortunately it failed...now I know for sure!
