Frost protected foundation is awesome! It solves so many issues. When it is used around a full basement the basement can be quite a livable space. I have an ICF extension planned for Spring 2023 so I am watching your frost protected videos and sharing them with the carpenter and will do with the ICF contractor when I see him for planning. Thanks again Bondo. Look forward to the follow up. Cheers from Atlantic Canada, Prince Edward Island.
Doin the 315 proud, it's nice to see local guys that are tops in their field. My dad was a mason and watched you guys all the time before he passed away. I watch because I was always with my dad on jobs and it's cool to see real craftsman at work.
Super Job Guyz!. This is exactly how I'm planning on doing my stem walls. Love the strong backs to keep walls straight and reuse the lumber. I'll be looking at this one several times and looking forward to seeing follow up videos on the project.
Hey Bondo thanks for another video. Congratulations on the new machine. We have one a little old where I work, only thing I don’t like is the volume of the backup alarm. Man it’s piercing. Looking forward to watching the remainder of this build!!
Mister @Bondo Built, I am about to do the same thing, undercut inside of the I.C.F.'s to create a four inch radiant heated concrete slab (Living room & Kitchen) for our home on the left with a (Two Bedroom's and bathrooms over) the full basement on the right side!!! Man, I would love to talk with you on that project!!! Subscribed and liked#423!!! I will be using I.C.F.'s for the first time, instead of calling in a sub for foundation walls!!! We are in New England too!!!
What keeps the Nudura blocks from blowing out and shifting on the bottom? It can't only be the small spot of adhesive tacked to the footer? If it is, why can't you use the adhesive on the common verticals, instead of adding wood connectors.
I designed this foundation for the customer. We like to get things out of the ground here where I live due to the snow we get. Vs doing a slab on grade or a grade beam the house would be more at ground level. He also has huge rocks everywhere at this job sight.
I’ve done something like this twice now holding the inside down and pouring the floor over the top and I’ve had it make 45 degree cracks on each corner. Have you ever had any issues with that?
Thanks. We stumbled on it last year. We'll probably have the engineer have a look at it to see if it's an option for us. Appreciate all the content you're putting out. It's been very helpful.
What size of footing were you required to have for the Nudura stem wall? A friend was telling me it needs to be larger then a standard footing if you aren’t going all the way up to the first floor.
The overcast in the coal mine we used styrofoam panels and sprayed with stone hard, walk over them and also drive small equipment over them lol 👊👍💪🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Hi I am new to all this info but I think I am in the right place. I have a quick question. I purchased land that I recently had cleared on the Kenai peninsula in Alaska. I want to build a custom home around 2800 sqft give or take. I was informed due to heavy ground frost a lot of the year, as well as earthquakes I need to be very informed about what foundation I choose. I was basically told don't even think about a basement due to the pressure from under the slab could cause moisture to come in through the walls and foundation as well as the foundation possibly cracking due to small earthquakes that sometimes occur there. Also I have done a bunch of research on "Frost Heave" and want to confirm with a professional that this type of foundation prevents frost heave or eliminates it? Would you be able to tell me if the foundation in this video is exactly what I need or the direction I should be going for these types of problems and this type of climate I described in Alaska? Thank you for your help I appreciate it.

Frustrating to see how expert your work is and I can't get anything like this in Texas. Ugh. beautiful
Here comes the mud! Get your boots on! 😂😂 great videos every time.
I'm a badass musician, but I couldn't do that if I had to. Badass
Thanks. Thats awesome wish I could play guitar
The footings themselves don’t need any insulation?
Back for another lesson
Thanks Ed
Great work brother. Awesome looking dog is he a poodle brother?👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Absolutely incredible. God bless you
Zeus bless!
Do you not put verticals in?
Nice job, Why didnt the customer do a grade beam with frost protection rather than short wall with footings?

Where is the water coming in under the footer
If a concrete floor is getting epoxy coating what need to be done differently?
How many yards of mud did that take?
Some of your corners need two anchor bolts where there is only one! (Within 12" of the end of a sill plate.)
Yes could have used a few more
Hi Mate , how cold does it get there and what is the average frost depth in winter?? Thanks matey
Hi Andy. It gets real cold here and our frost depth is 48" in my area.
@@bondobuilt386 thanks mate!

We for real need to make a collaboration! That be so awesome !
Yes It would.
Have you ever looked at or used monoslab ezform for this? We are considering it for our build.
No I have never used that product

How is the shepard hut doing ?
The outside is done but I can't find time to do the inside. All the concrete smh

Hay Ron, Do you use superplasticizer in tall walls also? If so, what slump? I'm thinking of adding it to the mix here.
Would it be cost effective for you to buy a line pump?
What is the cost savings of a 4ft frost wall vs the system used here.?
Quite a bit in materials and labor. I would say 30 to 40 percent savings. Much faster and less digging and filling back in and less dirt to settle.
@@bondobuilt386 thanks
