I think it would be cool if in order to marry someone like Jodi you had to not just get her hearts up but also her kids hearts up and that if the kids' hearts deterioritated below a certain threshhold youd get a cutscene where the parent discussed their concern for yours and the kids relationship and they break ip with you if you let thise hearts get too low.

And then when kent was deployed, she realised that this is not the life she wants. They tried to fix it with a second child since sam's baby years were the happiest of their marriage but it made things worse when kent inevitably left again. So now jodi dreams about the hot young farmer and the life that could've been
None of them are truly happy. Jodi loves Kent but kind of wishes she took more years to marry and enjoy her youth. Demetrius literally acts like a robot with Robin and even complained when he gifted him an ornate bed made by her. And Pierre is basically an workaholic, not spending time with his family, not to mention the theories about her affair with the wizard/ hook up when they were young, which makes the situation even more sad cause she's married to Pierre, the wizard suspects he has a daughter in the valley but never seems to engage with Abigail.
idk I feel like robin and demetrius are pretty happy, they have a lot healthier relationship and i feel like they do more couple stuff than the others do like dancing or showing more affection at festivals than other married couples
My fiancé IMMEDIATELY fell in love with Jodi within his first 30 minutes of playing for the first time and now every time he sees or talks to Jodi he throws a micro fit agonizing over the fact he can't marry her. He has decided to stay celibate and have Krobus move in, saying "If I can't have Jodi I don't want anyone". I don't see it tbh. Robin's way better in my opinion
