I thought I was tough as nails making varsity as an 8th grader. This kid is wrestling the best adults in the world as a high schooler!! Wrestling has grown so much because of the UFC. In the 90s, universities were dropping wrestling because of title 9. Now women's wrestling is in the Olympics. Wrestling is the toughest sport in the world. I've been doing bjj for 13 years, and bjj is a cakewalk compared to wrestling.
I love watching him. Anyone who hasn't seen his 2023 match with Raney at Who's #1 is missing something special. One of the best matches I've ever seen. Good on Jax. He's going to be really fun to watch. He's only a sophomore in HS and very thin still, so it'll be interesting to see what weight he goes in college. Probably 141 initially, but he'll be funtastic at any weight class.
Bru you have nothing to be upset about, you’re 17 and you had a Olympic medallist and (correct me if I’m wrong) a world champion on the ropes. You just put all of 57 kgs and 125 lbs (ncaas) on notice. Next time I’m sure will be different
He lost by a point to a world champ, this guys the next generation
I love this kid, can’t wait to watch him for years to come. New fan minted, even in defeat.
We have a 17 year old taking returning Olympic medalists to the brink and we have nothing but bots in the comment sections… really unfortunate
Fr
Huh? So unless everyone gets a boner for the same things you do, they are bots? GTFOH
Bruh this kid is amazing!!!
God Bless this young man

Me too dude me too. There’s multiple levels to it
Hell of an accomplishment losing to an Olympic Bronze Medalist by one point at 18. Bright future, keep grinding!!
A highschooler giving Olympic medalists a run for their money. What a Machine.

Mind of a real champ. Everyone praising how good he did by hanging in there with the big guys. But he knows that its not enough, he wants the win.
Wrestling is different. You can lose by a point, and “never be in danger” of winning.
Good luck wrestling this kid at the NCAA level! He about to mop up the brackets!!
“I just need to wrestle better”
Yea Jax don’t feel disappointed… your day of complete domination is coming.
Wtaj gotta get a new mic
Lets go Gillman
You mean Lee
@denniskaramitros216 no ..I was rooting for Gilman but now will be rooting for Lee.
@shogunjobu I was playing around but I'm glad to hear that And being a hawk fan Gilman was my 2nd choice behind lee

I thought he 16 isn't he a sophomore
@@faded7299He’s a holdback
@@elvisalcomb2098 oh
@@faded7299 no you have to be 17 and turning 18 in the same year as the event to compete at the senior level
@@Jacknippleson1 thank you for telling me I was so confused since I thought he was 16 from being a sophomore
