MM would have been NC if he didn’t think score was tied. Car was breathing super heavy and done. No way he had anything left. Oh well great for a freshman. MM will be a 3 time National Champion !!!!

Yea coach cael said that was the coaches fault he took total blame freshman mistake he out wrestled carr just ran out of time another 30 seconds he beats carr
Obviously didn’t out wrestle him if he lost due to riding time… he had the better Gas tank, no question. But at this level the athlete is just as to blame than the coaches. It’s the national tournament you don’t think they have riding time on the board?
Yea but you have 3 coaches in a corner one of them needed to let him know with a min to go your down riding point you need to go promise if MM knew he would have gotten another stalling call against carr because carr was backing up for two period I wrestled in college sometime you get into a match coach needed to talk to me remind me on some situations
@@coachjody1971 Yes and I can grasp that. But to say MM outwrestled Carr is false. Do I think Carr was tired, yes, noticeably. I won’t deny that, in fact I agree. Do I think if he knew he was down he would’ve went for a stall point, yes. Do I think if it went to overtime he’d potentially win? High possibility. But when your guy loses because they got ridden out, he doesn’t “out wrestle” anyone. Carr got the first couple of takedowns until he got tired (because MM pushed the pace) but that’s not being out wrested. That’s having a better Gas tank. Fact of the matter is, Messenbrink lost. No if or ands about it. He’s on to the next best thing and that’s being a 3x NCAA champion now.
