Don’t judge Sheff Utd on last season. That team has been dismantled with 16 players leaving and 12 arriving. Only 1 defender Ahmedhodzic is still playing from last season. New goalie Cooper, hasn’t had much to do but so calm, knows when to come off his line and great with both feet easily able to deal with back passes. The central defenders are giants, 6ft 5 Ahmedhodzic and 6ft 7 Souttar, so with 6ft 5 Keiffer Moore we deal with corners and set pieces so easily. The highest quality player is Hamer in midfield but he sometimes drifts out of games, the best player is probably defensive midfielder young Ollie Arblaster, he’s like a metronome making the game look easy playing loads of easy short passes. Our downside is the attack isn’t firing yet and we don’t exactly look free scoring but seriously can’t see us conceding more than 1 goal in any match. It’s not that we’ve not conceded in 6 matches but we’ve not even come close to conceding yet. Next game alway at Leeds should test the defence but they’ll feel confident.
I say this every time but the prem is impossible to compete in unless u splash 150 mil+. Last season was really hard to watch but feel we’ll get it right this time should we go up again

Such an underdog story. Keiffer Moore, Callum O'hare, Gustavo Hamer.. Rak-saki. One of the biggest wage budgets in the league. Amazing story for all involved.
We Blades have now got a solid defence and decent keeper. However we still don't have a decent 'nailed on' goalscorer, even two would be better. We're only nine games in so it's not a good measure of how we're doing yet, especially when we're scoring so few goals. Away to Leeds after the break, followed by an away match at Boro will be a good barometer of how we're doing.... I'm not hopeful. Hope I'm wrong.
I feel exactly the same...I really like the team we've put together but I think after Leeds and Boro away we'll come back with our feet on the ground....and that might be a good thing for the rest of the season, who knows....also, I have PTSD from the last season in Prem :))) so not sure I want us to go back there so soon LOL

Heckingbottom was in charge for two thirds of that awful season and he could hardly be blamed either. He had the rug pulled from under him right before the first game when we sold Ndiaye and Berge to a newly promoted rival. The writing was on the wall early on last season and Wilder could never turn it around with the squad he inherited and it was purely about damage limitation until he could rebuild.
We were down while Hecky was in charge albeit not mathematically. Wilder had a free hit and a few months to figure out who was staying, who was going and what we needed to get through the door for this season.
Quite amazing that nobody comments on the great defence the Blades had when they finished 9th in the premier league a few years ago. That solid defence was Baldock, Basham, Egan, O'Connell & Stevens all suffered injuries with two players finishing their careers too early. Obviously, this was the main reason for the terrible 23/4 season in the Premier league and now Wilder has strengthened that area and is reaping the rewards !!!!
