This is the video I suggest you watch and listen to if you are thinking about getting a Fahaka Puffer. A lot of the things I have learned and know about the Tetraodon Lineatus info is in this video.

Oh one fun thing: I kept these guys in 125 gal. aquarium. One hated my roommate and would splash water on him with his tail when my roommate walked past the tank. Mine never ate shrimp or Malaysian trumpets. You’re absolutely correct with your observations. Great stuff thanks! Brings back fond memories. One more thing. I visited Egypt a couple years back. I study Art History and did some studying in Saqquara. One of the royal tombs (much older than the pyramids) has fish reliefs so realistic that you can identify the species!!! One fish was a Nile/Fahka puffer. I have tons of photos.

This is the best Nile puffer aquarium I’ve seen! The endlers make great dither fish. The plants look great! I actually like the algae. I kept these guys in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Your puffer’s beak looks great! I also feed clams. Mine were not fans but had no choice. lol.
    Great video Chef!!!

I wish I have big enough aquarium to keep Fakaha or MBU puffer.
Yeah, it requires a lot of cleaning, water changes and the food costs a lot, but seeing those big eyes just melts my heart.

Lovely aquarium! My Nile puffer DESTROYED plants (and everything else)! He’d splash water at my roommate with his tail. He ate everything!!!!! Cool note: I visited Saqquara Egypt last year. Inside a 4000 year old tomb, there are super realistic reliefs of Nile puffers and Synodontis catfish on the walls. I wish I could post pics!!! So cool to actually see and touch carvings of these amazing fish.

front to back 4 feet is 120 cm. Biggest they get in captivity is 75 cm. So no. That is plenty, and a lot bigger then 99% keep them as we speak. When I get one in the future, I will make the tank 4 feet front to back, 7 feet long and 2,5 feet tall. That will give me a 524 US gallon tank. Or 1890 liter aquarium. A bit small?????
