- In today's video, I showcase a working method to create a wireless button with commands. It took so long for me to figure this out, so I wanted to share it with anyone who doesn't have the time to look through the documentation. If there is any way to do this better please tell! :)
UPDATED VID AND COMMAND:
• Video
execute if block x y z stone_button["button_pressed_bit"=true,"facing_direction"=W] run (insert command)
W = 0-5
I know I’m a few weeks late, but I see a few people asking for a wireless lever and pressure plate, I might do another vid on this stuff
Please PLEASE do ^_^

Thank God for someone who cares
Thanks
Dude you’re amazing I’ve been looking for tutorials for this for two months but they’ve all been outdated.
if you want to make it trigger a single time just put a comparator in front of the repeating and then a impulse in front of the comparator
only command block tutorial I’ve ever watched that has actually worked🗣️💯‼️
u just got a subscriber G
Duuuuuuuuude! Heck yes! The change they made with this wrecked so many of the games I'm developing. You are a paragon of virtue young man! Youve DEFINITELY got my sub! Lets collab a minigame!
Thanks so much, dude. I was literally looking for ways to do this for a long time.
Oh my god thank you I don't know how you found this out but thank you so much
No problem 4 weeks later
Thank you so much man, keep up the good content :))
this video was well put together and rly easy to follow/understand. great video keep it up
hey bro thank you so much for this.
I was watching a video by
CuppaTeaExe on "How to Build FNAF 1 Doors in MCPE 1.19+" and never realized it was outdated. so agan thanks for the help. trying to make a working fnaf door for my fnaf build by gummy th4e youtuber :)
BRO! I'm building the fnaf 2 map by cupatea and I still can't get the buttons to work.
Ty and I subbed
Also can you tell me what the 1-5 means in 1.19.50+
Bravo 👏 oh and I subscribed
How about door?
if you open the door it's will activated.
I try but it's already activate 😢 I hope you notice me 😢
jesus after like literal 5 months of searching at last found a video that actually worked, though, instead of the brief explanation of the button direction, you should've explained a little bit more (i really got confused on that part). Other than that, great video
Thanks for the advice!
Wow a new video!
Finally….
I copied the command exactly and I keep getting a error saying that “button_pressed_bit”>>:
thank you good sir i was having that issue aswell.
Thanks for the help I’m subbing now
Hello, If it’s not working for you guys here’s a fix, I’ve figured out that instead of putting a : put a = and it should work, you gotta replace the “:true,” with “=true,” and same goes for the number part. Hope this helps
OH! MY GOSH FINNALY I ALMOST GAVE UP ON THIS VIDEO THANK YOU THE FIX WORKED!! IV spent hours trying to figure this out and its currently 12:00am it night but thank you.
No Problem Just helping@@BenjaminVachon-bs1xe
I've been troubleshooting and pentuple checking to see what's wrong with the command, but I'm only getting an error message;
"Execute subcommand if block test failed."
I've been attempting this for some hours now and still don't know what the goofy-aah is wrong -- what is wrong with it?
I've put the command in the comment of this comment.
My command is:
execute if block 0 -59 2 wooden_button["button_pressed_bit":true,"facing_direction":1] run tp @p 50000 -60 0
@@Doorxu11 it looks right to me, but I haven’t tested it. I’ll get back to you later.
@@Doorxu11 wait actually what direction is you button facing?
@@Kevoonio I've used all the numbers, so the "1" is irrelevant
@@Doorxu11 Ive tried the command you typed out and it works perfectly fine. I think it will just say that until you press it. My best guess is that its saying it will execute the subcommand if the block test fails? but that doesnt really make sense. the wireless button should still work tho
Thanks it really worked! For me my direction was 3
Nice vid bro😊
Both of these commands aren't helping, I don't really know why but all it says is that ": is an error." Can you help me figure out why?
wait nevermind, I just figured out that it's supposed to be =true.
wow your voice changed since we used to stream in 2020
Yep
is there any way so that the command block gives of a redstone signal instead of executing a command?
Yes, leave the run part of it off and it becomes a test command. Then a comparator out of the repeating block into a repeater, and whatever machine. Or you can put a single dust in front of the comparator and observe it, and use that output as you desire. (U can find the last example in some "remove offline player" scoreboard tutorials
i cant find the correct direction, can someone help??
i think the numbered directions were changed recently, so replace the numbers with one of the following directions: down, up, north, south, east, west
Thank youuuuuuuu!!!!
How can you do this by levers?
ok ive done some digging and unfortunately it seems levers dont support the "facing_direction" state, so wireless levers only work if they are place on a block upside down. if thats fine with you then do /execute if block ~ ~ ~ lever["open_bit":true] run (insert command here)
for levers you can change the "lever_direction" state instead of "facing_direction"
@@misterjackio rly? cool
["button_pressed_bit":true,"facing_direction":0]
Is there a way to do this for pressure plates
Probably, I’ll look into it
ok im not sure if its possible to do a wireless pressure plate using the /execute if block command seen in the video, unlike buttons, pressure plates do not use any tags relating to if its powered or off, the closest thing to that is redstone_signal which determines the signal strength of a pressure plate. if you can find a way to do it, do share
Yes. You can use the testfor command to test for players standing on a block. You dont even need pressure plates. It can be any blocks.
Command: /testfor @a [x=0,y=0,z=0,r=1]
Replace the zeroes with x,y, and z coords. R is radius, leave it as 1 of you only wanna trigger the command block when the player walks on that particular block. If you increase the number, it will increase the radius in which the command will test for players. For example, if you set the radius (r) to 5, it will test for players in a 5x5 square. The center of the square will be the xyz coords.
To run a command when a player walks on xyz, you can place an outgoing comparator, then 1 Redstone dust running into another command block. That 2nd command block will have whatever command you wanna run. For example, if you wanna give yourself a diamond whenever you walk on xyz, add "/give @p diamond" to the 2nd command block.
You can also probably use the execute command to add the 2nd command in the same block. That way you don't have to use comparators or anything. But I'm not sure how to do that.
I hope that helps. If anything is confusing, let me know.
@@F0RLORN man you should be the one making vids here
@@Kevoonio I know a thing or two. But I owe it to you to finally be able to make wireless buttons. So thanks!
execute if block Kordinaten stone_button["button_pressed_bit":true,"facing_direction":1]
When i change the position it doesnt wor
Why isn't a wireless Button with testforblock working anymore?
idk why, its kinda annoying but i guess it allows for more control
@@Kevoonio Yes but this ruined my whole Creative Map, I dont know other ways because they are too hard for me. XD (I'll try this way too soon)
@@marlon_fnaf yeah, this new execute command is really lengthy to remember. i had to rerecord this video like 2 or 3 times because i kept forgetting parts of the command and i wanted it in 1 take
What if the button was facing to west
Ok so im on Playstation bedrock and i keep geting a syntex error on random parts of the command
Could you tell me what you wrote in the command block?
If it’s on the “:” then replace the : with a = for both the true and your number and it should be fixed
Its guving me a synrax error about the ":" after the "bit""
Another commenter said to use a = instead of a :
This has been updated the : are now changed to =
Yeah I made an updated vid in the description a while ago
I'm subscribing even though I don't need this because dude wasted 3 days and begged for subs.
I’ll take it lol
Its working but i want to button on the wall so what's the detection
It doesn’t work
Is there a way to activate command blocks without using buttons or pressure plates?
How did you find the button facing direction when its pressed? I cant get it to work
i think the numbered directions were changed recently, so replace the numbers with one of the following directions: down, up, north, south, east, west
I keep getting the result "execute for block sub command failed" am I doing something wrong?
Do you mean execute for sub command if block test failed? If it’s that then it should be working fine. If it says something different from that you should double check the command.
So I’ve copied the command down perfectly, but it’s giving me an error with the “facing_direction” part and the command will not run, any idea why it’s doing that?
Nvm I got it to work, THANK YOU for the tutorial!!
how to fix, i got the same problem
And it's cool
soooo like, do you know the new clone command?
You can only do so if you have keyboard
Dosen’t work anymore btw
same here, despite pressing the button, it will only prompt me to create a subcommand for the "if" statement.
This command is outdated, sorry about that. The new command is execute if block x y z stone_button["button_pressed_bit"=true,"facing_direction"=1] run (insert command)
Replace the 1 with numbers 0-5 for different directions.
@@mkae8558 check my reply above ^
execute if
Is this your video? Sir Lol!!!
SYNTAX ERROR: unexpected ",", at " essed_bit"
Am just cursed or am I just bad at using commands…
Legit no other commands work
Idk lol, if u are cursed I hope you find a cure
Any idea why this might not work?
Double check the command for “, make sure the direction is correct, and make sure you spelt everything correctly
