I like Phantom. I was back and forth on it for a while, but it won me over. It doesn’t smell like anything else IMO, but I can see comparisons to XS Black and One Million. It’s sweet and modern. I’m in my 50’s, and don’t gaf if I wear something youthful and sweet on occasion. Good review Aaron. Appreciate that you didn’t totally slam the rating just because you personally dislike it.

It literally smells like a rich fruit cocktail popsicle (granadilla being the main note) mixed with suncream (waxy coconut and soft white florals). Sweet, cheerful, energetic, and playful.
I had the same reactions when i tried a sample of Phantom. Excessively sweet, synthetic lavender and citrus in the opening trying to cleanup the sweet mess, headache in the drydown, minutes later i was washing my arm with the raw part of the dish sponge, desperate, and also trying to punish myself a bit for spraying too much 😂
It's the only sample I've thrown in the bin bag. I freaking gagged in the drydown, it feels someone have eaten fruit and puked over a bunch of seasalt. 🤢

I'm pretty sure I'm wrong, but *possibly* Oud Wood (??)...which I don't think is a greeny anyway, but I'm sure he was struggling with green-ness. (I must be wrong on Oud Wood, I think he liked most TF Niche stuff to one extent or another, but it was around that time, sorry for the confusion).

You gave exact the reaction I expected, aside from the technical terms and you actually liking the packaging. Have a sample of it and that's all I need from it. Found it as useful as the suicide squad in the Life of Brian.
I mean, the Phantom ad campaign has good production value. The ad for this was played on Twitch for months. The target demographic was around 12-21 years old.
Another example here of when you dont like something your hand movements become sharp and quick whereas when you love something the hand movements flow more slowly and softly.
The first minute of this fragrance was confusing to me, however the longer it was on my skin, the more I liked it. I would however choose Invictus Victory, Azzaro The Most Wanted and JPG Scandal over this release if wanting a sweet gourmand fragrance.

Yeah it it generic and kinda synthetic, but I get a lot of compliments whenever I casually wear this, also the robot looks good with my collection as well
Got mine and absolutely love it...subtle and creamy cookies smell, even gf loves wearing it chilling in the evenings. I don't go on reviews as that's always going to be personal preference no matter what they say about professionalism etc either your nose likes it or it doesn't, there's going to be those that like the spicy or musky or the sweet and fresh etc it's all down to personal preference.

I love this dudes reviews and he’s super knowledgeable. But phantom has pulled me the most complements from strangers and ladies love it. Keep in mind girls tend to like sweet and masculine cologne and this does a really good job of that. But yeah definitely for younger guys
Maybe it is how it dries down on my skin so I wanna share this: To me personally there are a lot sweeter fragrances out there - like Jean Paul Gaultier Ultra Mâle for instance or Baccara Rouge. Yes it synthetic BUT: I rather get an earthy, latex vibe underneath the lemon and tropical fruits. So it does indeed come out a bit tart on my skin, mixed with some fresh yet sweet fruitiness. I enjoy it personally - but on the other hand I enjoy a lot of different fragrances depending on the ocasion and time of year.

My wife bought me this... she likes this type of scent (im 36, don't love it... kind of a reach frag in winter/spring)... may end up giving it away in a year or so - it smells just like coach platinum which I used to have. I started getting into niche fragrances and I never under synthetic vs natural - and i would say in the last year or 2 of my fragrance journey - my nose can almost immediately tell the difference and it is somewhat off putting.
The word is that they also used Artificial Intelligence (AI) to formulate this! Looks like AI made this too artificial. We appreciate the pain the you went through to review this.
I find it atrocious. I’ve tried it three times and each time it made me more nauseous than the last. All the sweetness is front and center, but the hints of the woods and florals try to shine thru and they don’t work together at all. There’s just this violent olfactory fight under the layer of sugary sweetness.

I’m tired of these fragrance companies making “colognes” that smell too sweet and obnoxious nowadays. What happened to making masculine scents that smell manly with only a touch of sweetness to balance it out?

Question! Please, would you give us information how we can detect which fragrance or which beauty product in general contains the so dangerous parabens and phalates? You as a perfumer should be familiar with the effect, especially on men.
