As someone with almost 7 decades on the planet, I know that I was blessed with many gifts at conception, but that my care-givers and others seemed inclined to stifle and/or manipulate rather than help develop these gifts. So it ought to come as no surprise that the weakest aspect of my intellect is number 6. I am a misanthrope by experience. And, as a senior, it is far too late for me to try to convince anyone that I have valuable skills to be used. On a positive note, I am superbly equipped to survive the worldwide pandemic, & its aftermath. My greatest blessings now are resilience & adaptability. I'm not sure which aspect they fall under, but then it doesn't matter, does it? Last, but not least, I am not a fan of "pigeon-holing" people. No matter how long or well you may think you know someone, they can still surprise you. Take care, everyone, & stay safe.
If you’re not easily offended by things I would suggest externalizing your misanthropic thoughts and feelings in a healthy way. Get together with a small group of good friends and play Cards Against Humanity. You may have to play on video chats due to COVID. Also, never think that you are too old to learn anything that you have interest in. If I live to 100 I wish for myself that every day I have a learning experience.

I have always had a very activ3 and a strong curiosity. It is important to always hold oneself accountable for ones views, motivations and actions. Its been shown the mankind advances much faster when many minds focus on something so it is in our best interest to value and strive for society and that comes with the responsibility to do ones part by being understanding and forgiving
On verbal, spatial and mathematical abilities, that is, the standard IQ test I measured 142 when tested for admittance into MENSA. I believe interpersonal and intrapersonal intelligences depend to a considerable extent on one's linguistic and logical abilities. From my experience of facing social situations and personal crises, I believe that I am fairly high on these two types. I write reflective essays for the radio and articles on diverse social issues. These are much appreciated by the listeners and readers for the novel approaches to the understanding of those issues I explore. I do intense physical exercise for strength, stamina and agility everyday. I am, physically in my thirties at the age of 73 according to my latest medical report. Though I am not a musical person, I can discern among the subtle nuances of various types of music. I have a fair hand at painting as an amateur. As a farmer, I am a practical naturalist. I believe I am somewhat above average on all nine measures of intelligence.
So as a kid and through most of my life, i always felt that i was either at such a high degree of intelligence that i was able to understand things better than 90 percent of other people or that the actual case was that i only thought this because i was somehow extremely unaware of just how mentally restrained i was. And in some ways ive always felt this way. I often go back and forth on either thinking that my intellect must be abnormally high or thinking that im extremely stupid. Ive never quite come to terms with it but these days, at 30 years old. I more often think that im of a high degree of intelligence. However, after watching this, i feel like i underperform massively in all 9 categories. I dont know what this means but i definitely feel stupid now.
Just looking at how you communicate I can tell you're not stupid. You may not be an english major, but that's not really a measure of intelligence anyway.
Strong from an early age on all except #6. Have been working on improving in that one for the last 40 years and now can count it as a strength as well.
I think these will be more correctly labeled nine types of talents. I think intelligence boils down to three key characteristics. IQ that measures your ability to learn quickly. Knowledge that measures what you have actually learned. And EQ, that measures your emotional development to maturity. Perhaps a fourth element - morality. Whether a person uses their intelligence to benefit others, or only themselves, makes a difference of being a good or bad human being, and being able to learn wisdom, or succumb to foolishness.
Learning (the ease of which you are able to understand concept and ideas + memorization) Knowledge (the amount of info you have stored in your brain) Application (pattern seeking/prediction using the data you have learned + problem solving) I don’t give much credit to emotional intelligence.
@@flashlight5287 Emotional Intelligence is more correctly correlated with maturity and the ability to separate fact from fiction and make sound moral judgments.
@@dustyk103 hmm you are right. I did not account for maturity and moral judgement. So I would consider only 4 aspect to intelligence, where individuals would have stronger talent towards math/music/art…. Etc. I don’t even consider myself very smart… just curious and knowledgeable.
I strongly have all but one - body kinesthetic intelligence. Even that, I continue to work on. The rest of my intelligences remind me often enough that without the body, what good are they? So, although I enjoy the other eight, I do try to dedicate time to the body. I had it when I was young, but as I aged I haven't kept up with it as maybe I could have. In my defense, there are external existential that have affected this - grief over the loss of my husband being key. During the time of caring for him, those nearly six years took a toll on my body that I didn't truly anticipate - as that was not my focus. So, yes, that is an intelligence that I need to work on. I enjoy your videos, so please continue making them.
The person doing the sketching is brilliant. No so great at spelling, but that's not important right now. Also Einstein is widely disputed to have made the "Everybody is a genius...." statement.
Which of these intelligences is beneficial for a chess player? I’ve always hated math since I was a boy. It was my worst subject. But I love chess and am getting better at it every year.
My average score after doing multiple tests about multiple intelligences, all results where comparable btw. Linguistic intelligence: 57% Logical mathematical: 63% Musical: 60% Body kinesthetic: 47% Spacial: 77% Interpersonal: 43% Intra-personal: 73% Naturalist: 77% Existential: 77% I have to say I was expecting the logical mathematical to be higher and the musical to be lower. All others are around of what I suspected.
Funny character on last frame 9:46 shows 8 fingers to describe 9 intelligence types! Hahaha! I guess noticing this makes me a 'logical/pattern recognition' type ;)
Everybody has all of them but in different proportions. You can strengthen your weaker ones and schools only focus on testing linguistic and mathematical the intelligences. Too much testing of these and not enough importance is made to the rest except maybe with interpersonal intelligence which is people smart which has to do with working on a team cooperatively or collaborate with others.
I agree that a person has all of them in different proportions. The only one I ruled out is #5--Musical since I really can't sing and haven't learned how to play an instrument. While I'm sure I could learn how to play a guitar, or piano, maybe even the drums, the guitar I bought a yr, maybe two yrs. ago, still sits in my hall closet. Discipline and patience in this area: 2 or 3; and has declined over the years I'd say. Regarding the rest of them? I was once told by one of my college professors that I write well. And while I kept in practice then by writing papers till I couldn't see straight, the stuff I write here or on Fb isn't term paper quality; doesn't have to be. Yet I know the difference between "their", "there" and they're and can still spell rather well. I do need to watch this video again since I have trouble rating myself. I say E.I. and I.Q. should be included as types of intelligence.
so its like the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. traits in the Fallout games? i often wonder that lol. i think all my points went to number 9 and the rest are much lower, i certainly don't have many points towards linguistic, mathematical, body-kinisthetic or naturalist lol
Funny how pretty much every person in these comments thinks they are the ones with higher than average intelligence ...when that's not really even statistically possible.
I had to watch it a second time because I was upset thinking you had described 9 intelligences I am good at but on the second watch I heard spatial intelligence and I am extremely lacking here having terrible results any time I estimate the size of something or try to take a real object from my brain and draw schematics for it
im not too sure i know that being a legal adult about t0o graduate high school i've always had a smarts to be able to understand human emotion and help those in need very well i believe im somewhat existential because of my ability to understand not only the confusing questions around human emotion but also know that there more to life than what meets the eye i wouldn't call myself some of the jobs or interests listed but i definitely can see it showing off of me even if im not sure as an educated guess.
I can actually recite more scary stories to tell in the dark the book from memory the more I read it the more I watch it the more I can watch it in my head with no problems. I also cannot play a video game without something playing in the background I watched Ken Burns the Civil War 30 times while working on my Minecraft masterpiece
One thing is that most people think that if they make a program to show how smart they are it makes that person more intelegent than they actually are. The other is how fast the actual time to produce the product, such as drawing the characters fo this, takes much longer than is projected in this take.

Linguistic, natural, existential, interpersonal and intra personal ,body kinesthetic I'm shocked I have multiple intelligences and good at them which one do I fully develop I feel weird right now
I don't know, is there some kind of test I can take? Because after hearing them all explained I feel like I've got an equal dose of everything, but which one gets used depends on the situation.
my method was always take tons and tons of personality tests online and see which results, if any, matched up. then i realized, why don't i just make my own personality tests, having taken so many? turns out, mine are more accurate, if i do say so myself lol
Good video, except they are not talking about intelligence, they are explaining knowledge, your intellect doesn’t change, your knowledge does and this video does a very good job at explaining different ways ppl learn by relating the information in what they are interested in. True intellect when you can understand the teaching in most of the ways, and it true that the smarter and higher intellect the person has the less friends they have and have trouble connecting with ppl that have low to medium intellect, mostly medium intellect cuz low they don’t really understand how low there intellect is, but medium does a i would say that that is where you find scammers, stock brokers, ponsi and pyramid scheme ppl in the middle…
Yeah, I would agree with this for the most part. Personally, I believe my strongest to be linguistic intelligence. But I am math stupid. Which is actually kind of funny, since I used to be a programmer for a living, and programmers are generally people who are good at math (supposedly). But if I'm being brutally honest, I don't think I was ever really that good at programming. I used to say that I took the "duct tape and bailing wire" approach to it.
One must wonder, why this topic would be of any interest to them at all. Most certainly it is to be considered, as a person reflects as to where it is they find a home, amongst these categories. Toot-a-Loo From me to you

Yeah, well it’s been proven that intelligent people tend to underestimate their abilities so I think you’re good
Oh, wow, thanks! Both of you. I didn't expect this response but I'm not mad at it. Lol! That's very nice and I really appreciate it!!!
Yeah the fact that you wonder if you are stupid or not tells me you're not dumb lol stupid people dont ever realize that they're missing a few crayons
Very educative its one of my favourite videos.
Strong from an early age on all except #6. Have been working on improving in that one for the last 40 years and now can count it as a strength as well.
Your right.Great way to look at at and classify it.ℹ️💯✅❤️✝️🙏🏿📖🗡👊🏿👌🏿👍🏿🥷☯️😎
I think these will be more correctly labeled nine types of talents. I think intelligence boils down to three key characteristics. IQ that measures your ability to learn quickly. Knowledge that measures what you have actually learned. And EQ, that measures your emotional development to maturity. Perhaps a fourth element - morality. Whether a person uses their intelligence to benefit others, or only themselves, makes a difference of being a good or bad human being, and being able to learn wisdom, or succumb to foolishness.
Learning (the ease of which you are able to understand concept and ideas + memorization)
Knowledge (the amount of info you have stored in your brain)
Application (pattern seeking/prediction using the data you have learned + problem solving)
I don’t give much credit to emotional intelligence.
@@flashlight5287 Never stop learning.
IQ measures reasoning and analysis of information, not learning speed
I was getting worried until 6,7,8 and 9 came up 😊
Mate I’m lacking in most fields of intelligence. Great video though much love
..... You know at 0:18 the guy is only holding up 8 fingers ??? Not 9..
I would posit another, Spiritual intelligence and wisdom!
"Enhance your strenghts." Such as spelling or proofreading?
I identify most strongly with 2,4,5,7,8 and 9. I have work to do.
Creative Intel. Without having to see video.
I'm not Intelligent , but clever and have a lot luck , every friend said it .
Aren’t intelligence and clever synonymous?
Very helpful! Thank you.
Genius is the ability to learn things that most people would need to be instructed in.
interesting.. 6, 7 & 9 is the closest for me.. basically I am basic :) haha...
I mostly identify with 1, 5, 6, 7, and 9. Most notably, with 6 and 9. I am an empath, and a highly spiritual person.
I think my strengths are logical/mathematical, musical and interpersonal intelligence.
Thank you for your videos. You have inspired me to make similar videos to help people as well!
I have strengths in spatial intelligence. I enjoy working on arts & crafts in my free time.
Very interesting video.
Intra-Personal Intelligence and Existential Intelligence.
Does someone have tips on how to get better at these two intelligence?
Strengths is misspelled at 9:47 - Ironic and perhaps intentional for people like me LOL! I'll watch the remainder of the video now.
Very interesting. I've always thought of myself as a cunning linguist.
I see what you did there....😉
0:19 who else was slightly bothered by how he only held up 8 fingers instead of 9
I'd be around 7 on 1, increase a bit for 2, 3, 4, go into low orbit on 5, then essentially 0 on everything after.
Music ,Art and a continous study to learn more bout why I am who I am? I am a critical thinker.
I had it, then I lost it. You feel really devalued when this occurs
Your situation is like mine
linguistical: 6
logical mathematical: 10
spatial: 7
body kinestetic: 7
musical: 1
interpersonal: 5
intrapersonal: 9
naturalist: 3
Which of these intelligences is beneficial for a chess player?
I’ve always hated math since I was a boy. It was my worst subject. But I love chess and am getting better at it every year.
Creative, intra, empathy
Nice video! I am having 7,8 and 9
My average score after doing multiple tests about multiple intelligences, all results where comparable btw.
Linguistic intelligence: 57%
Logical mathematical: 63%
Musical: 60%
Body kinesthetic: 47%
Spacial: 77%
Interpersonal: 43%
Intra-personal: 73%
Naturalist: 77%
Existential: 77%
I have to say I was expecting the logical mathematical to be higher and the musical to be lower.
I may have musical intelligence because I didn't take very long to learn how to play my clarinet that I have owned for over 7 years
Funny how pretty much every person in these comments thinks they are the ones with higher than average intelligence ...when that's not really even statistically possible.
I had to watch it a second time because I was upset thinking you had described 9 intelligences I am good at but on the second watch I heard spatial intelligence and I am extremely lacking here having terrible results any time I estimate the size of something or try to take a real object from my brain and draw schematics for it
can you list 9 more 9Types Of Intelligence. because i can not find any of these 9 yet?
I believe you have #10 Comedic Intelligence
The spelling of the word strengths at 1:23 is lol for a video on Intelligence.
im not too sure i know that being a legal adult about t0o graduate high school i've always had a smarts to be able to understand human emotion and help those in need very well i believe im somewhat existential because of my ability to understand not only the confusing questions around human emotion but also know that there more to life than what meets the eye i wouldn't call myself some of the jobs or interests listed but i definitely can see it showing off of me even if im not sure as an educated guess.
Sense of humour ! Should be nr. 10
I can actually recite more scary stories to tell in the dark the book from memory the more I read it the more I watch it the more I can watch it in my head with no problems. I also cannot play a video game without something playing in the background I watched Ken Burns the Civil War 30 times while working on my Minecraft masterpiece
My intelligence
Linguistic Intelligence - 90%
Logical Mathematical Intelligence - 70%
Spatial Intelligence - 60%
Body-Kinesthetic Intelligence - 80%
Musical Intelligence - 20%
Interpersonal Intelligence - 30%
Intra personal Intelligence - 40%
Naturalist Intelligence - 10%
Existential Intelligence - 50%
Thanks for making such an amazing video! I really appreciate that!😊👍
great video and nice illustrations but what was up with the microphone stand?
Logistics, intrapersonal, musical!!
Interpersonal, Intra-Personal, & Existential...the rest a work in progress 😉😊
One thing is that most people think that if they make a program to show how smart they are it makes that person more intelegent than they actually are. The other is how fast the actual time to produce the product, such as drawing the characters fo this, takes much longer than is projected in this take.
I have mostly some of each! :)
I have the four types of intelligence:
1.) Linguistic
2.) Mathematical and Technical
3.) Interpersonal Intelligence
4.) Intra-personal intelligence
When you were talking about linguistic intelligence, a Grammarly ad came on.
Me who Is right Now doing something that u explained in the type 9 understands english more than my native language even thought i never was in england or America And who plays piano a lot types of flute And a quitar:
I wanna ne a Writer without having to Write because i ONLY care about the Story ....🥲👌👌👌❓🤣😑🤔😐🤩👍✌️✋👈🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃😶
Awesome book - woop, woop!
Same here. Have you tried the Myers-Briggs test? Maybe not exactly what you’re looking for, but definitely interesting.
my method was always take tons and tons of personality tests online and see which results, if any, matched up. then i realized, why don't i just make my own personality tests, having taken so many? turns out, mine are more accurate, if i do say so myself lol
My intelligence types are Linguistic, Interpersonal and Intra-personal intelligence.
Logical-math and spatial, I am an electronic engineer.
Wow I think I was just indirectly called stupid in 9 different ways
I’m a level ten in all the intelligences. Also I’m an INFJ empath sigma male. I’m the mostest special and rarerer than anyone else lol
FWIW, the quote about Einstein and fish is clever and often attributed to Einstein, but he never said that.
Toot-a-Loo
From me to you
In school I noticed some people were smart and others just studied a lot
What about people like me that specialize in mechanical skills??? I do OK in several of the other's as well, but you didn't mention mechanical skills. We are the people who keep the nuts and bolts of the modern world at least partially functioning.
I don't have any of these, thank you for ruining my day...gonna buy some Artificial Intelligence this weekend though!
The main thing is to always have a plan! 😄
They'll have a pill for that any day now.
