Just got this amp, and right off the bat, it is LOUD! You can create 4 custom presets or use the factory presets. Built in tuner, 6 effects, 3 distortion and 1 clean channel. Two kool settings are; Insane with lots of Chorus and Tape Echo. This gives you a massive amount of distortion and delay, can make some screaming pinch harmonics that sound like nothing I have ever heard! Next is Metal with low Phaser and Tape Echo. Gives you a thick Phase effect, way kool! Enjoy, the amp is amazing!
@axxo798 @mhansson94 Thanks for your comments! As you go up in wattage through the Spider range, you get more effects, and more amp models. Also as the larger amplifiers have a wider front panel, you get a few more controls that allow you to adjust the effects a little more. The basic 'guts' behind them are the same, and if you're plugging the amp into a PA or recording device you'll not hear any difference in quality.
@1276magaki that's because the presets have really high channel volumes and the channel volume is extremely sensitive. to save your own presets make your preferred tone and then hold that particular channel button
i feel proud........when you put the crunge sound on, i was thinking in my head, "this would be a good sound for Whole Lotta Love" and then like 5 seconds later, you go and play it.
@jenluvheart I had the same problem, all you have to do is turn the knob to the left of the master volume all the way to the right until the TAP button isnt blinking but is at a solid orange like the CLEAN button then turn it all the way back to the left. hope it helps
Thank you for this demostiation. It helped me a lot. I liked how you watched to the sigle feature withouth other stuff going on. And on the clean channel. I might buy this amp!
@rayjaycleoful you mean that for saving the settings i want i have to press the channel button after putting the effects and volume i want?i think i got that thank you VEEEERRYY MUCH for helping me i was facing problems here :)
@Conorrrr1977 You gotta change the factory settings. Next time you're using it, switch to clean, turn the echo all the way right and then all the way left. Do the same with the other effect knob, then hold down the "Clean" button until it flashes. The presets are now set to not echo, but go ahead and switch channels and switch back to be sure it worked.
There should be flashing orange lights while the amp is on, but in the video there's none. Makes me wonder if he's actually playing the 15w version. Because I own the 15w and it doesn't sound like this even though I use a good guitar and have been playing for years.
@jenluvheart yea i guess so, but honestly i dont really like the clean sound on this kind of amp. i read that you can save settings to hopefully make the blinking light stop whenever you turn it back on after you turn it off, but im not sure how to do that. so for the pedal problem all i can say is that you gotta just deal with the slight echo.
I have this amp and its amazing!!! He gave the insane effect nooooo justice at all. U can play whitechapel and children of bodom and stuff that's really heavy and it sounds insane. Trust me. I have one and I use it all the time.
Hey man. Great video. Im just about to get one of these, but i have been told that they seem to have a reputation of breaking, and not being able to be fixed. Obviously i want to buy something that isnt going to break, or if it does, i can fix it. Have you had any problems with it, or known of any cases like that? Cheers.
So I'm trying to decide between a 15W Line6 Spider IV and a 15W Roland Cube 15XL. Purely as a bedroom-jam-only practice amp. Not fussed about extreme metal tones but I'm still after good crunchy distortion for the likes of Asking Alexandria / Alesana / Sleeping With Sirens / All Time Low. Care to offer opinions, guys?
@Aephylis i liked my spider(my ac15vr is better, but yeah) I almost always used the crunch channel or clean... the metal tended to sound pretty nice but a bit artificial compared to true distortion....... idk, cube counds cooler
@axxo798 @mhansson94 As you increase wattage and speaker size you do get an improvement in the sound quality, not just in terms of volume capabilities; when at a lower volume you'll notice a bigger, warmer sound. It's like a high-powered car engine at low speed - it'll do better than a low-power car near the limits of it's capabilities.
i have the same amp!!! but i gotta problem!!!! everytime i turn my amp on and play a clean chord or something it echos and the echo knob if on off and then i turned the echo on then off and then the echo stopped??? if i move from crunch, metal, or insane then back to clean it echos after i play something!! wut do i do???? and ur a really good guitar player!! ^.^
@xSuddenDETHx thanks but i have to do it everytime i turn off the amp?? and the song im playin for my band needs a pedal to change from clean to crunch
i have a question...if i put this amp to clean and i have a Washburn Wm-10....it will play metal.....i ask because i want to buy a Washburn and this amp
Ok, So I just bought this amp as a Factory restock for just $50 from Guitar center.com. My first question being, What does Factory restock mean, And Does this Amp have any Delay? if it does, Does it have like a cool name?Is it Delay, but it has a Different Name? B/c I'm trying to Play the Solo from "Like a Stone" by Auidoslave and I need Delay, Also, Can it make my Pitch go up by 2? Thanks for an Answer.
I need to use a switch pedal but don't know what kind of pedal is compatible to this amp. I've just brought one but it need a 1/4" jack insert T_T Does anyone know? I need to know asap
is this 15 wattage amp good enough to use in a small venue if you use mic? I want to perform but I don't want to pay more than 120 dollars for an amp. I am just clueless about amps in general
MrMyKamilsz Dude, Michael Schenker said he used a 50W off to the side that was miked - the rest is trash flash. Trust this, put a mic in front of anything that sounds good, it will sound good louder.
@Zarby1234 yeah but for metal which I play. It is the best. Channel C and D are inspired by Mesa Boogie which Mark and Willie of LoG use. Favorite band.
When i was on highschool one of my friends got one, and everyone was blown by the "built-in" effects, just because of that, i always thought it sounded too digital... and there was some kid that proclaimed himself a metal expert, and when he got his hands on my friend's amp he just turned every knob to 10 on the Insane channel... it sounded like shit
@axxo798 yes sir :) The more watts you have, the more volume you can have without worry of busting your tube or blowing your amp up. Preferably for live you're probably going to want a spider IV 150W with the HD cab :) gonna be about $700.00 but the results are absolutely astonishing :D
It's embarassing that self-important sound engineers and producers rip on Line 6. It's almost like going to school or sitting in a studio fried their brains. I feel horrible for their lack of knowledge of what gear is capable of what. They are great at mixing and somewhat at playing some instruments, but they clearly lost their way in music. They always use a condescending statement to others like: "WHATEVER!! Go play on your Line 6 buddy!!".... -_- Line 6 is a reputable company. Their vacuum tube heads or combos are gorgeous quality. Their solid states even hold their ground VERY well. The INSANE mode in any Line 6 Spider product replicates a Mesa Boogie soooo well. Obviously not perfectly, but ever so well that a musician like myself (of 30+ years) doesn't care. I can make a Line 6 and an ESP sound like a Marshall stack and an $8,000 Gibson. It's more about the skill behind the equipment anyways. If a player needs to turn to expensive gear it is because they either 1.) have become picky af from doing it for 40+ years or 2.) because they are trying to hide their lack of skill behind expensive effects and technology. It's as simple as that. So as it goes, Line 6 is an INCREDIBLE brand and I stand behind them 100%. I've owned 8 heads and combos including the Spider IV 150 watt 2x12" driver combo. Monster amp. Great sound. If anyone has anything other that to say about Line 6 I question their knowledge and experience within the audio and musican world. PS - everyone has a different taste for sound, but it is undeniable that Line 6 works well for a LOT of people 👍
I totally agree with you. I'm using it along with my ESP LTD Viper and they are perfect match. Great versatile amp (4 channels), really loud, great sound, dirty distorsion, high sustain and a whole bunch of effects at most affordable price!!! That is simply unbeatable.
I have the 15 watt one. I don't dare turn it up past the 1/4 mark because it is loud as fuck. I was surprised really I was expecting it to be really weak sounding.
Own one Myself & It has Taken me About 6 Months To Like OR Dislike. At 1st. I hated it But You really have to play around with the settings on Guitar as Well. Now Im happy with It & Only Use 2 of the Amp. Model's, Clean & Crunch..W
the distortion sounds so good, wtf!
Marc Möbius I totally agree people be crazy
Could be the guitar also.

Seen a lot of reviews but this was the first one that answered my questions. Well done guys.
Good demo, I bought one of these last week, really pleased with it folks.
@1276magaki that's because the presets have really high channel volumes and the channel volume is extremely sensitive.
to save your own presets make your preferred tone and then hold that particular channel button
That's a nice sounding Ibanez. I love the little amp too.
@Aephylis Both are pretty good amps....if you're not going for multi-effects and all..go for the cube....it puts out some good crunch.....
i feel proud........when you put the crunge sound on, i was thinking in my head, "this would be a good sound for Whole Lotta Love" and then like 5 seconds later, you go and play it.

Very nicely made review :) Covers everything important.

I ordered mine today!!

@rhcpkzi you gotta adjust and then hold the channel buttons down to save it
Can't wait to get this amp.
I have this amp and its amazing!!! He gave the insane effect nooooo justice at all. U can play whitechapel and children of bodom and stuff that's really heavy and it sounds insane. Trust me. I have one and I use it all the time.

Would you rather recommend the Line 6 Spider IV 15 or a Fender Sidekick Reverb 25 Amp??
@rhcpkzi then you have to adjust the channel volume of each channel to match each other.
So I'm trying to decide between a 15W Line6 Spider IV and a 15W Roland Cube 15XL. Purely as a bedroom-jam-only practice amp. @DustinAndNatasha i like tone that lets you hear every individual note and chord, but line 6 kinda blur everything together, imo
@axxo798 @mhansson94

is there any sound-quality difference compare to the spider IV 30w or the 75w?
Could you please tell me the difference between the 15 watt and 30 watt? Im getting the 30 watt in 2 days..
whats the differince between this one and the 75W ?
is it just louder ?
Does the 30 Watt amp have the 300 song presets like the 75, 120 and 150 Watt ones?
a good beginner guitar is a squier strat or an epiphone les paul special 2.theyre not too large or too small
i have the same amp!!! but i gotta problem!!!! everytime i turn my amp on and play a clean chord or something it echos and the echo knob if on off and then i turned the echo on then off and then the echo stopped??? if i move from crunch, metal, or insane then back to clean it echos after i play something!! wut do i do???? and ur a really good guitar player!! ^.^
@xSuddenDETHx thanks but i have to do it everytime i turn off the amp?? and the song im playin for my band needs a pedal to change from clean to crunch
Is it possible to regulate the distortion?
is this the same as the fender spider iv ??
i have a question...if i put this amp to clean and i have a Washburn Wm-10....it will play metal.....i ask because i want to buy a Washburn and this amp
Hi,Please suggest me best setting for playing Ánother Brick in the wall'Solo for this 15 watt

Great amp, and it can get VERY loud for the size
what was the second song?
The quality of sound between the 30 and 15 watts are the same. One just pushes more power through it so it can withstand louder use.
whats the metal song?? reply please :)
Is this good amp?
wobbly v.s sparkly ..the ultimate showdown!!
Music at 00:50 ?
"Whole Lotta Love" by Led Zeppelin.
good. Will this amp work with an acoustic guitar also?
Yes,with an acoustic electric guitar mine sounds great,i use it in church!
I need to use a switch pedal but don't know what kind of pedal is compatible to this amp. I've just brought one but it need a 1/4" jack insert T_T
Does anyone know? I need to know asap
is this 15 wattage amp good enough to use in a small venue if you use mic? I want to perform but I don't want to pay more than 120 dollars for an amp. I am just clueless about amps in general
Nope, this amp really sucks. If you want an good sounding amp buy atleast Bugera V22 or Vox AD50VT
MrMyKamilsz
Dude, Michael Schenker said he used a 50W off to the side that was miked - the rest is trash flash. Trust this, put a mic in front of anything that sounds good, it will sound good louder.
if it's small enough you probably don't even need to mic the amp. these things are really fucking loud man.
+MrMyKamilsz What! For $100.00, really! Where can I get one for that price?
music at 01:10 circa?
Metallica - Enter Sandman
ty
distortion doesnt work on my amp, i switched it on to crunch and it still has a clean sound
increase the gain
music at 00:50 please! :c
"Whole Lotta Love" by Led Zeppelin.
What kind of Guitar is that he is playing? Can someone please tell me? thanks.
It's an Ibanez RG series, solid line of guitars. Play great. Judging by the natural finish its probably one of the iron series or something.
does everyone who has this amp play enter sandman ?
what metallica song is he playing?
Enter sandman
@Zarby1234 yeah but for metal which I play. It is the best. Channel C and D are inspired by Mesa Boogie which Mark and Willie of LoG use. Favorite band.

kind of interested in hearing the insane channel.. a little more than sliding up and down with a power chord bro
ok I have this amp. it's ok. I bought the dark matter distortion pedal ad it just give lots of feedback..... help lol
Roll back on the gain knob. Play thru the crunch channel. Use the pedal knobs for your sound. The amp knobs will be your extra punch ones!
welcome to the digital world!
What a nice amp.
@xSuddenDETHx ok soo just do wut u did to save it all u need to do is hold onto the clean button for a few secs :D
No, it doesn't...
But, you can buy it! It is the FVB Express MKII pedal :D
It has 4 stomp pedals and one volumen/wah- wah pedal :)
i hate when i put full screen it goes 480p u.u

Glenn fricken fricker ?
a buddy just gave me one used.,...i love it!!!!
I have the 15 watt one. I don't dare turn it up past the 1/4 mark because it is loud as fuck. I was surprised really I was expecting it to be really weak sounding.
Someone also knows the E chord
i have that amp and it rocks pretty good for its size!, almost to much for my apartment (neighbour's)

@GeorgeChucher Led Zeppelin - Whole Lotta Love
@SanjeevGeorgeV If you have an electro acoustic, I don't see why it wouldn't :)
Music at 00:50 please? If u don't know led zeppelin you shouldn't be watching this vid.
Whole lotta Love.
wat? it's like you replied to yourself
are you insulting yourself?
if your dumb enough to feel like you have to say some retarded shit like that you don't need to be watching this video.
+Richie Whoa he was quoting and answering another poster Marcos Perreira
The very first thing I thought! If he had a bit of a unibrow like Lyoto then they could be twins.
Are you Freddy Mercury?¿? xD good video!!
Whole lotta love ftw
